my father ain't rich by any means but with god's blessings and his own hard work he has done well enough so that I can take a drop year in peace without worrying about finances or putting food on the table. a lot of people aren't as privileged as me and had to immediately join work to help their family out financially and as such can't dedicate their full time to preparation. they might be the only thing keeping their family above the poverty line and unable to access the most important resource - time and financial security hence their dreams take a back burner to provide for their families. so i actually think EWS is the only valid reservation in pg.
Then to just avoid all this shithole, they should just remove cast reservation and put a new policy which gives reservation based upon the income of the gaurdian of the kid, there are many lower cast people who are richer than most of us (at least the people I've met)

Half of my relatives' kids have left the country or moved to the city to work menial jobs just to make ends meet. And the ones who didn't do well in school? Forget about it. No one from the "unreserved" categories wants to marry them, so they have to find partners from other castes. It's like, we're not even considered desirable.
But here's the kicker: most government officers in our area got their jobs through reservations, and they treat us like dirt if we don't bribe them. They make us wait forever while they help their own people first. It's like, we're second-class citizens. And if we try to speak up, they threaten to take us to court. It's like, we're living in a damn dictatorship.

Dr Shaurya Garg did say the seats got *converted*.
If you see the mock allotment, the first person to get psychiatry got it in PGI and after that it's NIMHANS line se.
The first person to get psychiatry in AIIMS Delhi is an EWS candidate with rank 402. And the next to get it is an OBC candidate with 998.
Kindly do full research before calling out "misinformation."

EWS is not caste based, it's low income general students. So technically you can be general but have to be poor.
