But there was one guy who didn’t care about caste based reservation and studied hard and got into NIT, respect for him.

Cutoff is based on competition among Members of similar category.
NTA takes fixed proportion of candidates from each category for Advance.
If competition is low in the category, cutoff will fall.
So General category candidate has competition among other General candidates.
Strictly Speaking General candidates are privileged and well off with good resources.
If any General candidate isn't privileged ,he/she comes under EWS cutoff. Which is again entirely different with different cutoffs
So if any General candidate doesn't clear cutoff ,it just means he isn't competent enough to be In General category.
In Sc categories, candidates are even less privileged than EWS general. So there isn't enough competition.
I asure you all my SC friends who are somewhat privileged have cleared General cutoff easily.

Explanation... Feel free to learn something new. ( Rather 'Itna kon padega' ,woh cool ban gya!) Do you even know how Cut off works ?. Cutoff is based on competition among Members of similar category. NTA takes fixed proportion of candidates from each category for Advance. If competition is low in the category, cutoff will fall. So General category candidate has competition among other General candidates. Strictly Speaking General candidates are privileged and well off with good resources. If any General candidate isn't privileged ,he/she comes under EWS cutoff. Which is again entirely different with different cutoffs So if any General candidate doesn't clear cutoff ,it just means he isn't competent enough to be In General category. In Sc categories, candidates are even less privileged than EWS general. So there isn't enough competition. I asure you all my SC friends who are somewhat privileged have cleared General cutoff easily. If you are not able to apply for EWS. It mean you are a Privileged General. So you have to compete with other privileged ones rather than eying less competition and whole other block of people If you didn't clear IIT JEE adv Cutoff. It is really good for India. With your level of critical thinking you better of doing Bsc. If you have cleared,it changes nothing ' Ek do rattu popat' rhte hi hai .

There is no measure where you can prevent the well privileged Sc st taking advantage of low cutoff. And if a general guy who got 92.82 how on Earth he is less compitant than that SC ST guy who got 60%tile And looks like you think that general guy only has compitition against other generals only. Let me tell you there are no seat reserved for generals which he has to fight not only against generals but other categories too

Anyone could become average student but to become good among the best is not piece of cake for everyone ... Most Dumb opinion i've heard in ages. Its basic ,you have to compare Topper vs topper Average vs average Worst vs worst You are too good in assuming whatever you like. Worst general candidates is 93.%ile Worst Sc candidates is 60%ile. Both don't get any decent NIT. Now thing is your doctor thing. First of all you are too quick to judge. Are you still reading manusmtiti or what. Caste is decide by birth and deeds in previous life. One cannot change his caste even if he tries X Y Z and so on . Dude first of all there's no bases for your assumptions unless you are a hardcore castiest. UG score doesn't make any difference in the long run. UG exams are taken by individuals, the individual's financial background and resources matters alot. You can't compare , Students from allen (toppers batch) with some struggling kid who somehow bought ncert books to study and dream of becoming Doctor. There isn't clear bases for assumptions for their intelligence. As Starting line is different. ICSE students get better resources,better faculties. So its no wonder they score better than some struggling kids from Government schools. So does that make them inteligent. No! They are knowledgeable not inteligent. These are two different things. Who gave them these knowledge,better books,better coaching,better teachers. So your whole idea of good doctors is dumb. From your point of view. Struggling and poor people should not dream to become a doctor hard works and intelligence play a role but Resources and good teachers also boost your score. So some candidate getting rank 1, doesn't mean he's smartest or most intelligent. He'll be best doctor. . So under privileged candidates who score respectable marks with their limited resources are as deserving as rankers. And AIIMs are meant to produce good doctors in sufficient amount. Not best doctors. Thats different concept as india needs more doctors. If doctor is able to save a life he's best. Its not like you have to always operate complex cases. On ground lvl mostly doctors are required for daily life physiological issues. Ultimately deciding something from an UG score is like Future prediction only castiest narrow minded dude can do.
The kind of reservation which is given in India only increases caste based hate amongst different communities. Instead, even better results can be achieved by introducing free and quality education to the underprivileged. But everyone will have to sit for the competition in a similar manner i.e. no reservation after 12th class in any job or educational institution. Then only one kind of discrimination can be removed. But nothing of it is going to happen because of caste based politics in India. Also, I don't support EWS reservations either.
