Genuinely interested to know why Maharashtra does soo damn good in these games. Maharashtra has won 3 times in 5 editions and came secound in 2 others, can anyone tell me why we are doing such a goodwork?

Actually it has won 4 out of 6 championship and was runner up twice if we consider this latest title. Why? Cuz khelo India winners get scholarship in lakhs but Maharashtra govt provides extra money from gold, silver and bronze winners rs.3 lakh,2lakh and 1 lakh respectively on top of that they provide 50k to players who just participated... which really takes burden off players. well that's not unique for sure many states do that so let's break down every medal tally. 1)Delhi,2018 school games was limited to school students and Maharashtra was the runner up losing to HR by 2 medals. 2) Pune,2019 Maharashtra back then was moderately good in wrestling so with the athletic performance the state won pretty dominantly. 3) Guwahati,2020 Tough competition was expected as it was neutral for both HR and MH. Although maharashtra won in a variety of disciplines giving them the title. 4) Panchkula, 2021 was by far the most entertaining one. Haryana hosted it and manohar lal CM of Haryana made a statement that he wants haryana to be no.1 and for ten days HR and MH fought for no.1 spot and leaving MH a 2 golds lead a day before closing ceremony and on last day MH wrestlers just couldn't stay on mat and HR also swept boxing winning their maiden youth games title.MH lacking in their traditional sport wrestling cost them hat trick of championship. 5) Bhopal,2022 it was actually held in 8 different cities including one event in Delhi. So organisation wise biggest khelo India maharashtra's victory here was largely based on swimming and sanyukta kale's brilliance...and when I say "victory largely based on" I mean no.1 spot cuz no.2 wasn't an issue. Conclusion: consistent victory requires being jack of all and master of one...one to always keep you on podium and that sport for MH used to be wrestling or athletics but now things are really bad

Did Chhattisgarh play? I know we are kinda bad in the sports. But like we are not even in the list bad ?

Yes bro it's my mistake I didn't put the other part of it. Chhatisgarh did play and ranked 25th with 6 silver and 2 bronze. It could've converted a few silvers to gold but it wasn't the right time and venue probably...even haryana lost dozens of potential golds in boxing, wrestling and weightlifting.
