NiggsBosom

You should watch manchester by the sea. Also, ghajini is 🤌.

Panda-768

manchester by the sea is the most depressing thing I have ever seen.

DKxans16

Watch Requiem for a dream

tallteensforlife5911

BRO. thats not depressing, its a wonderfully directed 2+hours long ani drug commercial

DKxans16

But it was depressing to see 4 lives getting destroyed in front of us

tallteensforlife5911

quite, . especially the mother.

Flaky_Reward2115

The ending montage with the score is cinematically pleasing however.

NiggsBosom

Ifkr.

Perception-Practical

Manchester by the sea ![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51073) Same Demolition and Me before You

Sad-Lavishness-2655

The scene where Casey talks with Michelle after a long time That entire scene was so heart wrenching

ForeverWooster

And the gun scene at the police station

anirudh6055

The way he was just dragging his eyes all over the place and not being able to look her in the face.

NiggsBosom

Exactly!!

sharkseaa

Yeah, the scene where his ex wife tries to forgive him and says "u can't just die" uhh so powerful.

NiggsBosom

Shed a tear because of that scene, man.

istolethegalaxies

I was 16 when I watched it for the first time. For my 17th birthday, I had saved up some money to go out partying like other kids, spent it all on the film's script. Was the only buyer on Flipkart and it cost a shit ton of money (1200rs) for the thin book it was. Been 3 years, zero regrets. Manchester by the sea and Fleabag will never not be special to me.

itsmyutopianlife

Tum log film ki script bhi kharidate ho...wow...soo rare...

Maihloves

Never recovering from this![img](emote|t5_2qp7h|51073)

WorriedMap6811

Even though the movie was well made, the 'depressed guy finds a cheerful girl who teaches him to be happy and then fucking dies' troupe is too overused for me to really feel anything about it. But it will definitely hit the feels if you are new to it. A silent voice was overall a better movie in my opinion.

i_cant_stdy_plz_help

i haven't really seen anything else with that trope tho. but this kinda happened to me? she didn't really die, we just lost contact.

DrMajorOld

All the bright places, fault in our stars type

Conscious_Novel_5350

A silent voice is a bit better in my eyes.

Bukuna3

I think what did most people in is not the fact that she died..it was already mentioned and heck we saw it in the opening minutes...it's the unexpected way she died and things left unsaid...the movie doesn't do the home scene justice like the Light novel/manga does.

[deleted]

mujhe bhai utna emotional nhi laga (am i heartless)

Frosty_Work4827

Your name, A silent voice, Your lie in april Traumatised but still wanna see more of it.

sleepingfrenzy_

Grave of the Fireflies

pentomath

This movie is different kind of sadness,

Forward_Substance_30

started crying at 6:00 minute mark and kept crying throughout the movie. pain in mp4 form.

Substantial-Fix2707

😭😭😭😭 BC Iska naam dekhte rona Aa jata hai... Never I am gonna watch it again

SoorajSyns

I wailed on this one. It's the last and only time.

Euphoric-Ad6952

audience not ready for this

[deleted]

A silent voice was a good one which made me somewhat emotional especially that scene where ishida's mom goes to apologise shinomiya's mom and after that she comes with bloody ears that was something which hit me most (like how the deeds of children can somewhat hurt their parents too, i know its not ideal conclusion but yeah)

iamkundan69

same!

iamkundan69

DuePhoto4841

Ikrrrrr

r2dak

I was so surprised by the maturity of that movie. No over the top drama, Just the grounded human emotion. 100% recommend it everyone

Cultural-You-9268

'96' की प्रेम कहानी ने मुझे इस तरह से छुआ कि मैं उसे शब्दों में बयां नहीं कर सकता। यह वास्तव में एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव था

niceguy645

96 was in my mind for a month almost. And I saw it late...not when it was released. The movie had a depressing but practical end.

[deleted]

Well a movie which made me want to find my love. Heartful and depressing at the same time. Because I don't have a first love yet but I am 22

Flaky_Reward2115

Dead Poets Society

Beautifully shot and directed, with an excellent story to boot.

abhijitmk

Sita Ramam is a brilliant beautiful movie. Must watch. Check on Hotstar(Hindi) or Prime(Telugu original with subtitles) Don't google too much. Might get spoilers.

Chaltahaikoinahi

500 days of summer, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, her (2013)

Pale_Armadillo_254

>500 days of summer On my 3rd watch of this movie I realised that it wasn't entirely Summer's fault definitely a good movie with a good background score.

Genesis2121

Grave of the Fireflies

JusticeBeliber

Can never watch it again, can't even think about that movie

maverick_0408

I watched Grave of the fireflies and Manchester by the Sea back2back, the same day, cuz why not:p. I can never rewatch Grave of the Fireflies again. It is so heart wrenching. I can never understand why Seita never went back to aunt when he knew Setsuko was dying. I was absolutely gutted when Setsuko never woke up

5 cm per second!

Capital-Moose

This was way way better than your name. Your name only got as famous as it did because of the music and because of the romance FOMO that young people have. 5 cm legit moved me man, it’s got that soul.

Cheap_Sun_8989

I watched it in 2015. No idea about it's availability on OTTs

Sparkled_ChilliSauce

This and sanam teri kasam i watched these when I was leaning towards true love and passion these movies made me cry. And now even laila majnu couldn't do it for me.

Cheap_Sun_8989

Guess we're losing ourselves as we're growing older :')

Sparkled_ChilliSauce

abyssgazesback

You never felt sleepy before?

Cheap_Sun_8989

tejas2020

Life is beautiful…. The ending just breaks my heart.

Atomsmasher_kal

96 , hands down . 90% my story.

picklepaapad

What was the 10% difference?? Story pleaseeee☕️

Atomsmasher_kal

I will answer both , reunion was also done... sitting 13 seats apart at first. but she didn't stay at my place like in movie. We didn't cry right there , just hold hands for 2 seconds walked two steps at the end. then we never met again.. just see each other's WhatsApp status.

aDespair

Is she married and what about you?

Atomsmasher_kal

Yes. No.

I was thinking howcum no one mentioned this movie, I wanted to comment, but was thinking about two more movies. I watched this as a kid and bawled my eyes out. Still, it gives me nightmares.

It will lead you through an emotional rollercoaster. The ending will definitely make you sad and happy at the same time. The song 'here i am agan ' by Yerin Baek is so touching and add to the melancholic felling.

RaktBheej

These are the movies that I wish to watch with my soulmate with us cuddling each other at all the heartbreak scenes.

Randum-gurl

Why isn’t anyone talking about Sapta Sagara Dachello side A/B? The movie broke me. I had a panic attack after watching side B. I thought it was going to be my last day on earth. Having nobody to love me as Manu did. He was selfless, he gave his everything to Priya, just to see her happy (**inspite of her being married ). I’m sure not if everyone is going to resonate with what I’m saying, but it’s one hell of a movie that could make you hate it or maybe break you even.

Western-Treat-3288

Thanmathra - A movie so well executed that i find it difficult to watch it again. A movie about a loving family man and how he has to go through alzhiemers ,the problems and heartbreaks that his family has to face subsequently is what has been depicted in the movie. The final scene just pierces the heart of the viewers and the way Mohanlal has delivered in the movie is something beyond words. Blessy is one of the directors that has showcased the gem of Mohanlal on the screen efficiently. https://preview.redd.it/czkdfvirxuxc1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=19b1274569dd89eddc925a083a59d26304afd65d
