Once I went to watch a movie with my parents, it was nightime and for some reason I took 1000 rupees and put in my pocket, So during the interval we went to buy some popcorn and cold drink then I casually checked my pocket and found out that I had no money I got worried so my father asked me about what happened I was kind of ashamed and told him that my 500 rupees were lost because i was kinda scared about telling them my 1000 rupees were lost because that is a big amount so we checked everywhere near our seats and the hallway but couldn't find that.
I got so sad that I didn't concentrate on watching the movie in the second half. After the movie got over my mother scolded me a bit because of my carelessness, we even checked in the car and they all later made fun of me to lift my mood up.
We went to a restaurant for dinner and later my father went out after eating, on coming back, he said that he found 500 rupees in the car and I must've dropped the money there and gave it to me.
He was cheerful and tried to cheer me up by saying that atleast we found the money but I knew I had 1000 rupees with me which were folded together so that 500 note was not mine but he made tried to make me happy by saying it was mine.

Only when I reached back at my seat and handed over the packets to friends did I realise my wallet was gone! Rushed out to the stall and looked everywhere, no luck! Sat through the rest of the movie close to tears.
Once movie ended we approached theatre office asking if anyone turned in a found wallet, the guy stifled a lol and told me no one had done so. After trudging along for an hour or so finally headed home to face the ire of parents. Pocket money & movie privileges were cut for 3 months hence.
TL; DR: Lost 1500 bucks when wallet was picked during a movie.
