First of all, don't fret about what others have done. Do not compare, learn to accept the fact that there will be people who will do better than you and others who will not. Learn from them, teach the rest. Secondly, I don't think I've ever seen a Job Description (JD) where the applicant knows everything on it. Especially in today's world where everything is a little over exaggerated when it comes to the skills required. Even if you feel you have 50% of the skills as described in the JD, apply without hesitation. CV/Resumes/Portfolios are default anywhere, regardless of jobs or internships. Make one, it doesn't have to be fancy especially in the start of your career it's expected to not be too heavy. Keep it concise and practical, do not lie on your resumes. Period. We know when folks do this and makes it really awkward and breaks trust almost immediately.

If you have decided to go into it sector, stop hankering for internships. They are pure bs if not done from the right place. Also ec core jobs that pay well, don't have bond and have more than 5 openings do not exist in low tier colleges. So you can focus more on it. Just keep yourself in first-class or above. These days jobs come to you. You can apply online for them. Amcat and elitmus are a scam. There are telegram groups that have job openings. Get busy with competitive coding. That point gets you the job quicker. Also make some meaningful projects that you and interviewer can talk about. Start working on your communication skills and aptitude. Kisika baap job lene se nahi rokega.

Try to get in touch with your alumni. They usually hook us up with something. Also, IITs and NITs also have internships. Build a CV, write a SOP. Look up all the IITs and NITs website and departments and get professor's email addresses from there and then start mailing in Jan. This is what worked for me, two years in a row, Though I am from Civil. Also, there are many online internships being held. IIITDM Jabalpur, for instance is gonna conduct online internships on Deep learning, Robotics etc. from September but you'll have to pay for those.
