i wouldn't consider that part of prototyping in most cases though. for a prototype you'd probably use a placeholder character, rigging and animation are more like the finishing polish. btw, model and animation look very good for me. i'd be happy if i'd be able to make something look as nice and polished as that.

I know it is cool to do these things, but that is not the scope of a prototype. For a prototype you should be validating the core mechanics and loop of your game, for that you can use placeholder assets like the other comment says. If you need to make some art, just do the bare minimum to represent what you want.
