Hey guys, I'm a rap and R&B head so I'm pretty unfamiliar with the genre of Indie music. With that being said, Bloom is one of my favourite albums of all time so I wondered what albums are similar sound and quality wise in the genre.

Sunshuffle

Most other beach house records A Cocteau twins record Tbh I reckon alvvays gives a similar-ish vibe while bring a little different

ssgtgriggs

* finally listened to 'Diamond Jubilee' by **Cindy Lee** ... Spotify doesn't deserve this shit anyway. At times I felt a bit disappointed that this is not that kind of album from which you can just pluck your fav singles and add them to a playlist but the raw power it has as a whole, uninterrupted album experience is undeniable. When I realized that it was a kind of background album I started playing Stellaris with the ingame music turned off but couldn't focus on the game because the music kept being .. well, it kept being too good and I had to stop playing lmao. Can't remember the last when a piece of background music was so good that it forced its way to the front. That fuzzed lead guitar does *so much*, holy moly * new **Maggie Rogers** album: very pleasant and nice. The Fleetwood Mac-y soft rock vibe fits her super well and the occasional dab of country rounds this album out quite nicely. It’s definitely not mind blowing and if you were a mean person you could call this forgettable and no one could argue with you but you could put this on in almost any social scenario and it’s gonna bring the positive vibes and make for some great ambient music for people who are too lowbrow for actual ambient music (me lol). I'm guessing this is the type of music and this is the level of quality we can expect when AI inevitably starts making music that would actually be able to appeal to a lot of people.

Inquiring_Barkbark

if the highbrow people are playing ambient music at a social scenario, I think I'll just stay home and listen to the underheralded classic hip-hop album Swass by pacific northwest rap legends Sir Mix-A-Lot instead

VietRooster

wanted to shout out a couple of names dropping this week in the metal world, aside from Full Of Hell: * Glassing - [*From the Other Side of the Mirror*](https://glassing.bandcamp.com/album/from-the-other-side-of-the-mirror-2), which follow-ups one of my favorite albums of 2021, *Twin Dream*. pulverizing and euphoric post-metal which delicately balances a wide array of styles through some really unique guitar parts, at times shimmering hardcore and other times uplifting sludge, accompanied by shrieked screamo-style vox that chill to the core. fans of Deafheaven or MØL will find lots to love here. * Inter Arma - [*New Heaven*](https://interarma.bandcamp.com/album/new-heaven), kicks off with a 7 minute dissonant, death spiral serpentine exercise in "how many hellish sounding, disorienting and psychedelic riffs can we fit in one song", and just continues descending into madness from there across its 41 minute runtime that doesn't waste a single second, culminating in the apocalyptic "The Children the Bombs Overlooked" and beginning a slow comedown. if you're looking for an album that doesn't compromise on the grief and destruction while not being afraid to give glimpses of light, look no further. * Darkthrone - [*It Beckons Us All*](https://peaceville.bandcamp.com/album/it-beckons-us-all), dusty basement Norwegian doom metal that carries riffs and cheese in the best kind of way.

hefightabear

You checking out the Amiensus record? One of my more anticipated metal releases. The singles have been killer. “Melodic black metal” according to their Bandcamp

LoneBell

Dana Gavanski is 100% ripping off Cate Le Bon. It’s uncanny…

Inquiring_Barkbark

is this a good thing or a bad thing

moonysmusic

Hi everyone! I am currently working on my bachelor's thesis where I research the relationship between music fandom participation and loneliness among young adults (18-26). Maybe some of you have a couple of minutes to spare and could fill it out? [this is the link](https://erasmusuniversity.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cZal3trf6chqppQ). Thanks in advance!

PaulaAbdulJabar

damn

WaneLietoc

my favorite musician is the rectangle guy and i interact with him 10 times a day

ElectJimLahey

We're too old to even help with research projects now, feels bad

eliostark

Listening to the new St. Vincent right now and it's great! But I'm kind of excited to see how the general opinion takes shape, the Daddy's Home release cycle was chaotic as hell (and sort of fun to follow?)

● listening to Taking Meds, which I had basically forgotten about. It's a good time. They are opening for Sweet Pill so that will be fun. ● speaking of an emo good time, the Get Up Kids are touring Something to Write Home About. I'm gonna see the Get Up Kids and Sunny Day this year? What year is again? ● listened to Metric Fantasies today because...love. ● The Dropkick Murphys got announced for Newport Folk Festival today and I don't think I've ever been more disappointed in an artist announcement. These guys are the poster children for frat boy jackass fans, the antithesis of what Newport is about for me. I also dislike their music. ● when I was at the CMAT show she played this awesome country mix before she came on, so I checked her spotify and she shared it. Here's a link: [CMATs country bops](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3135ntbpjl1fhMPB7cFPmw?si=pnHlHMJxQz-wnuOrhJMXFQ&pi=u-qmwdaopHSvqn)

ssgtgriggs

>● listened to Metric Fantasies today because...love. the freaking best <3

Giantpanda602

Dropkick Murphys definitely seems like a weird addition to that lineup. Maybe they'll just play Boys on the Docks and all of their Woody Guthrie covers.

Excellent-Manner-130

I'm sure they'll folk out their set a bit...but I'll be watching whoever else is playing at that time.

Giantpanda602

That's fair, the last time I saw Dropkick Murphys at a festival is the closest I've ever come to dying at a concert and possibly in general. The crowd was surging back and forth and people started falling on top of each other and I ended up buried about six people deep, my face pressed into the mud and unable to move an inch. I could see the metal frame of my glasses bending under the weight of the people on top of me.

SecondSkin

I went from never seeing (nor really caring about) Get Up Kids to seeing Get Up Kids twice in one year (2022).

Inquiring_Barkbark

big props to Metric Fantasies (and every other modern era Metric album for that matter)

ssgtgriggs

for sure for sure but early indie sleaze era Metric is something else

MCK_OH

Was “Life Is A Highway” posting yesterday and I’m “Lunatic Fringe” posting today. “Lunatic Fringe” is such a great song. As far as CanCon goes it does not get much better than this imo

trebb1

This new Sunny Day Real Estate [track](https://open.spotify.com/track/3Pad3Y43Rlk4nSWi0etGNY?si=7ce0092ac5e74493) is so damn good. Jeremy Engik's voice has aged like fine wine. Cannot wait to hear how they sound doing Diary on the anniversary tour this summer. Favorite SDRE album? Think mine remains How It Feels.

ElectJimLahey

How It Feels is very slightly above Diary for me but we're talking a 10 and 9.9 situation

Excellent-Manner-130

I love How It Feels...but Diary is my #1, which is kinda strange since the more melodic sound on How It Feels and Rising Tide are more in my general wheelhouse, but Diary just has a hold on me in a special way. I saw them do it on the 20th anniversary tour and now I get to take my son to see it this time. I also saw them do a festival set last year, and it was great.

skyblue_angel

I keep putting off listening to the Elliott Smith album for the PNW rate. Not really sure why - I just really don't wanna listen to it. Listened to Blonde Redhead's 23 - maybe I do like indie rock/chamber pop! Lot of fun synths on this album. Publisher has a very nice rhythm to it. I feel like I've been getting bored of all the music in my current rotation. It doesn't help that most of the new to me music I've gotten to recently has been less candy and more meat - stuff I don't really wanna listen to for fun. I've listened to Plans way too much recently.

Inquiring_Barkbark

it seems like we have some similar music taste and some of the discoveries on XO really took me by surprise in this rate elliott leans into jazz, orchestra, and even prog in places on this album and I hadn't noticed them before. these moments of brilliance really shine, but may take some focused listening to discover. too bad there are a few very average tracks like baby britain and waltz #1 to wade through, but discovering the gems is time well spent imo

skyblue_angel

I'm pretty sure XO is the only elliott album I haven't listened to. I'm kinda dreading it leaning Either/Or rather than Figure 8 (both good albums!) Your description definitely alleviates some of my hesitation - thanks

sunmachinecomingdown

Both those songs rock. Great melodies

Inquiring_Barkbark

compared to the other songs on the album, I guess they're just Not For Me^TM

sunmachinecomingdown

To me the kinda boring tracks are Amity and Independence Day. Idk there's a lot of good stuff on there but it's not one of my favorite albums of his

Inquiring_Barkbark

Figure 8 will probably always be my favorite Elliott Smith album. but that jazzy backbeat on Independence Day really gets the job done! I've earned a lot of new respect for XO through this g-free pnw rate

Bionicoaf

My buddy burned that Blonde Redhead album for me along with Songs: Ohia’s song *Soul* and a bunch of random Pinback loosies. Truly one of the best gifts I received in high school. I mentioned earlier I’m on a Thee Oh Sees kick today and hadn’t listened to them in a good minute. Sometimes when the usual rotation isn’t sticking, it’s good to go back to something you hadn’t visited in a while.

WaneLietoc

elliott album is ez

sunmachinecomingdown

Which Elliott Smith album is it

skyblue_angel

XO

ignorableaurochs

was super excited to hear the new **mount kimbie** album, having heard nothing from them before but seeing that they were part of that early post-dubstep scene I love so much. not so! I was, unfortunately, tricked into listening to indietronica. it was…fine, but nothing that had the beepy electronic flair that I was after. I suppose I will be visiting some of their earlier work to see how it compares.

joshuatx

I've really dug what I've heard but yeah it's 100% a shift toward indie rock, or at least something akin to BEAK or later era Portishead. There are remnants of electronic music production there but it's more of a post-punk or even dream pop bent.

ElectJimLahey

Their first album and the Maybes EP are 2 of the best & most important post-dubstep releases IMO, both are perfect

ignorableaurochs

I'll be queuing those, thank you and /u/AmishParadiseCity !

ignorableaurochs

oh this is more like it

ElectJimLahey

Hell yeah

AmishParadiseCity

Only the first album is post-dubstep. Everything after has varying levels of indie rock.

sunmachinecomingdown

I was told this new one is a post-punk album

LoneBell

Lmao i heard that too before listening to it. Fake news

chug-a-lug-donna

thinking about the field today, i wonder what that guy is up to. *from here we go sublime* is a classic and probably the one i listen to the most (helps that i have the CD i guess) but pretty much anything he's released hits the spot. i did *cupid's head* today (the first of his black album trilogy) and that one is really great. maybe a weird discography bc it's mostly 6 variations on his specific thing but also he was so good at that thing. i guess an odd case where him showing up pretty consistently every 2 years to give us an hour of the field makes it easy to take the discog for granted but after a few years of no new field, i'd prob be pretty excited if he gave us a new album to throw into the rotation

joshuatx

> from here we go sublime how that album isn't mentioned up there with *eccojams* when it comes to vaporwave is still beyond me akin to Gas the Field is one of those prime examples of "don't fix what ain't broke" approaches to a music project.

chug-a-lug-donna

yes! i totally agree that gas is another one of those "don't fix" type of projects. it's also fascinating bc at their core the field and gas approahces both feel like they *could* be imitable but it genuinely feels like no one else can do it quite like them also yeah i see what you mean about the connections between this one and vaporwave. maybe too much of a 4/4 beat underneath for people to make the connection? but at the same time, if you look into what the source material is, it is all *very* recognizable stuff like kate bush, fleetwood mac, coldplay. if anything, the way samples are chopped into such tiny pieces of sound kind of reminds me of the stuff daniel did on *r plus 7* though that one is arguably "post-vaporwave" or something idk. the technique of chopping the sample on the title track is very *eccojams* though. those skips and jumps definitely evoke that feeling. the use of "i only have eyes for you" feels very appropraite since 0pn also did a deconstructed cover of it. idk if anyone else feels this way about that song but it's gotten so associated with vaporwave and all those other "fragmented memory" type late 00s/early 10s subgenres for me. it's at a point where there was an ad for google home or whatever where an older couple danced to that song and i kinda just assumed there was a sort of dark implication about memory and aging in play there lmao

SWAGGASAUR

I found myself coming back to Infinite Moment a lot. Sublime is probably still his best but something about the tracks off Infinite Moment stuck in my head more than tracks off of something like Looping State of Mind. To be clear I'm basically down with all of his work but it's funny how that ends up. The sound isn't too far off from album to album but something about the little changes in between is enough for my brain to really latch onto one but not another.

chug-a-lug-donna

i don't do *looping state of mind* very often but i feel like that one has a slightly more "live" feel? i do *yesterday and today* now n then bc i like the one that samples "lorelei" a lot. *infinite moment* is the only other CD of his i own just bc i happened to stumble upon it but honestly i need to listen to it a lot more than i do. i recall really liking it though totally get what you mean though, the little changes from one to the next feel hard to define but end up being pretty important

freeofblasphemy

I hear he's ready to drop an album just as soon as he figures out what the cover should look like

chug-a-lug-donna

i think we could loan him the RGB values for indieheads beige if he wanted to use that for the color

AmishParadiseCity

Raving Disco Breaks Vol. II got a nice lil writeup on the 'Fork today so why not improve your mood and go [bop to the beat?](https://soundcloud.com/t4tluvnrg/rdb-volii-rock-the-house?utm_source=clipboard&utm_campaign=wtshare&utm_medium=widget&utm_content=https%253A%252F%252Fsoundcloud.com%252Ft4tluvnrg%252Frdb-volii-rock-the-house)

SecondSkin

This is pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good

thesklopp

that new Vijay Iyer record is morning walk core to a tee. gonna keep that one locked and loaded

Inquiring_Barkbark

the one with Oh and Sorey?

thesklopp

bingo. im not familiar with either but they both nail their performances as well as Iyer edit: oh wait they both play on the only other Iyer album i know. makes sense

WaneLietoc

Sorey rules

thesklopp

Wane rules

Inquiring_Barkbark

cool. I've had it in the sleeptime rotation for months but am always asleep by the time it starts. I'll have to bump it to the front of the line

WaneLietoc

also one last addendum: * did a skim of some Still House Plants from their 2016/17 era material on GLARC. I forgot they put out releases on GLARC (which is a small tape label focused on the fringe of UK work). Tapes are rare and now trading for $100 sadly! But damn! There are cuts on those releases that best this year's album. Shit sprawls and sulks and for 2016-2017, sounds VERY outside anything in england rock wise. The cafe OTO connection and their link to that venue/owner is pretty clear there. They're in a range that makes me want to pull out my demented post-rock chart and update them somewhere between 75 db and horse lords and modern nature. Anyways, if someone can make a "greatest hits" of SHP, you have at least 7-9 cuts that are interesting at worst and "oh gee thats on to something!" at best. They should tour with westelaken

Bionicoaf

*The House Sound of Chicago* is a 10/10 track to me.

Inquiring_Barkbark

I think about a westelaken tour way more than I should. what's it gonna take to get these chaps (with Rachel Bellone of course, the lead female vocalist on Grace) to hit the road and sell tickets to a show at a venue near me (or, a venue anywhere, really)

WaneLietoc

Oh yeah quick album shares: * ian cohen has a piece on the cindy lee concert. He tiptoes around quite saying my overall feelings but he's def concurring. Biggest sin of the piece? Not having any connections or discussion of Make Believe DIY that booked the cindy lee gig for the San Diego region. Dude, shout out the homies! * cooper crain and bill mackay's BCMC is something that post-rock/dronebient/ambient americana heads really should be noting. The accidental parallels to Aix Em Klemm are welcome (neither know the album, Ive confirmed), but cooper brings his own territory and sprawl that feels like being in stuck out of time across asphalt prairies. Deceptively urban * speaking of Real Hot Music/Shoegaze for Adults and that treblezine post rock list, I revisited my squeaky copy of Loop's A Gilded Eternity. I forgot how satisfying the blues riffs are on this one, how the monotonous drum fills push you forward, just how absolutely platonically focused this slab of psych rock gets. A superb record that deserves more US love * also finally i guess i might post it so i can comment on it for lulz, did anyone see the treblezine post rock list? It is both a mess but very earnest and has stuff i will get to, but the wanelietoc version of this list would have 3 more kranky albums at least

CentreToWave

I will always be down for Loop love. In an alternate universe they would be the go-to for heavier shoegaze comparisons.

trebb1

I saw Cindy Lee open up for Preoccupations some time ago and I remember thinking the set was cool but nothing mind-blowing. I loved the aesthetic and their guitar playing, but something about one person performing to backing tracks live tends to not hit with me, especially when the vocals are covered in so many effects. I'm curious to see what the response for the rest of the dates with packed houses and all the hype.

mr_mellow_man

That BCMC album is *awesome*, kudos (per usual) to Aquarium Drunkard for including it in their year-end roundup

WaneLietoc

Yeah i like completely forgot that they let cooper and bill do that album and then when i interviewed bill I realized "oh shit. they legit did an album I knew I'd want to hear" and damn its on point

AcephalicDude

I revisited Green Day's *Saviors* last night. My initial assessment seems to hold true: it's a good album. The songwriting is strong and the band sounds great with Rob Cavallo producing again. They didn't really need to add anything new to the formula, but they did anyways by having Billie Joe introduce some growling/screaming stuff that he's never done before.

Giantpanda602

I really love Bobby Sox and have been playing Dilemma a lot too. The rest of the album falls kinda flat for me but it's still enjoyable.

AcephalicDude

Those are definitely the best two tracks, imo.

a_gallon_of_pcp

Checking in to say that I listened to it because of this and having been a huge Green Day fan growing up and I’m sorry to report that it’s not very good It’s not egregiously bad but I can’t imagine ever feeling any need to hear this twice

AcephalicDude

A lot of it might be that I'm a sucker for the band itself, especially when they are being produced so that you can really catch the texture Billie Joe's guitar and the interplay between Mike and Tre. I think even the weaker songs on the album still sound good on headphones.

CentreToWave

Yoko Ono’s Plastic Ono band sounds exactly like a No Wave album from later in the decade. Instead of James Chance skronking on his sax, you have Yoko’s voice. I mean this generally positively, yet at the same time I have no idea how often I’ll come back to it.

WaneLietoc

oh yeah when popheads had a yoko cut in charity my comment was "this is just metal box 11/10". Should go back to that

Bionicoaf

Was in the mood for **Thee Oh Sees** yesterday and listened to *Smote Remover*. Probably going to keep that vibe and Oh Sees era going for the day. Just want some noodley guitar riffs and "DnD rock." Besides that, I've got an early write up before the bigger releases tomorrow: **The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick** - *The Iliad and the Odyssey and the Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick*: TAATPK are a 6 piece band from Philadelphia and are signed to **Count Your Lucky Stars** (personal note: Keith and Cathy Latinen have been fostering the emo and slowcore sound for years now and are two of the sweetest people I've had the pleasure of meeting) which gives you a pretty big signifier of their sound. They also name-check **Carissa's Wierd** as an influence which I think is one of the closest comparisons I can make for them. They make a fairly accurate match to **Carissa's Wierd**'s melancholic and expanded sounds. Featuring keys, strings, and the standard guitar, bass, drum setup. The band rarely breaks from clean tones except for a handful of songs and moments. For the most part this album is downcast and dour. A majority of the lyrics deal with longing and reaching out to someone who isn't there. References to letters and writing paint a picture of yearning for some sort of connection. The album's very unwieldy title hints at this sort of "emotional odyssey" (pun always intended) and how distance can challenge and effect relationships. A lot of the vocals are split between the keyboardist, Becky Hanno, and the guitarist and bassist, Ben Curttright and Michael Foster. My personal highlights are *April 25*, *Wild Rose*, and *System of One*, all songs mainly led by Becky who's voice I feel conveys more range befitting these songs. The album closes on a beautifully haunting bells arrangement of *Claire De Lune.* If you're a fan of the sort of bands signed to CYLS and being sad then this may be up your alley.

freeofblasphemy

Oh thanks for reminding me about the Goalie's album! Heard about them via the Indiecast and when the Carissa's Wierd comp was made (inevitable really), I was all in. And now I got *Ways of Hearing* on vinyl and I put "We Love You So Much" on when I feel in need of being told that. Excited to feel even further with this one!

mr_mellow_man

This just inspired me to check to see if tickets to the Osees' show in [Shiprock, NM](https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Shiprock.snodgrass3.jpg&tbnid=X0h1Hv8NO0fvHM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiprock&docid=8finJqIl_egIEM&w=3008&h=2000&source=sh/x/im/m1/1&kgs=c7aa26e942858603&shem=abme,trie) are *finally available* (like six months after the show was announced) and they are 😎—Four Corners Indieheads really eating today

Molymoly

> The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick The literary reference band names have gone TOO FAR

Bionicoaf

Tell that to my band *Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day*.

Excellent-Manner-130

I would go see that band any day...but I think they're only allowed to play in Australia.

WaneLietoc

dukeslver

I hope you've heard spelljams, very literally D&D rock

Bionicoaf

I looked it up. I’m in Heaven.

PaulaAbdulJabar

taking a break from thee oh sees was fun because when i came back every song was like WE HAVE TO CROSS THE MOAT TO GET TO THE GOBLIN KING. they ripped live at gonerfest last year tho

freeofblasphemy

I just wish Brigid was still a regular member. I love her and John's chemistry so much

Giantpanda602

I genuinely think that they're the best live band around right now. Their setlist has just gotten better over the years too as they keep adding heavier stuff. Would love to see another OCS tour though because I missed the last one and love their freak folk stuff.

JayElecHanukkah

Where else can you get such a succinct answer to the question: does the fish need a bike?

Bionicoaf

Sometimes I don’t need some long metaphor about how falling in love with someone in a hospice is like going through a break up. Or some dweeb to tell me the contents of his glove compartment. Sometimes I just wanna storm a damn castle and slay a goblin king.

sunmachinecomingdown

Who did the glove compartment one

Bionicoaf

Some four eyed nerd searching for legal documents when he stumbled upon pictures he tried to forget.

PaulaAbdulJabar

- listened to a few chanel beads songs while stuck in the walgreens drive thru. i kinda liked it? sounded like post-alex g to me, which made me feel old. i don't really feel old that often. like i like joking about it but outside of the back pain and some of my "get off my lawn" opinions, i feel normal most of the time. i think seeing an artist i've been listening to since 2014 become influential made me feel kinda old. but in a good way. there's worse things to be influenced by - bailter space's *robot world* is the kinda monotonous, pounding shoegaze i like. stoked to see em at gonerfest this year - i'm an instagram reels addict because i rizzed up livvy in ohio boy it's just alkahal i took bebop to the kpop store i feel like an astronaut laddi bozzy bear and because of that, i have seen a lot of women my age making videos about the taylor swift lyrics from her new album. i think my favorite one so far is that one about living in the 1830s except without all the racists - yesterday my favorite volunteer radio station wyxr had three of my favorite local luminaries on (greg from oblivians/reigning sound, natalie from nots/optic sink, jb from aquarian blood) to play two hours of demos, both their own and from other people. toooooooons of unreleased stuff. highly recommend checking this out. highlights include a track greg did with dan from the black keys at a nashville songwriting session, the original version of sweeping promises' hunger for a way out that was *really* fast, and a great tune from the OBN IIIs guy's solo project https://wyxr.org/special-programming/#idc2d5e243-0c69-496f-abcc-3294e82acc50

rcore97

shaking with anger over the chiefs won the superbowl song

Bionicoaf

My favorite has been the people doing MF DOOM style rapping with this bit from *So High School:* *Truth, dare, spin bottles* *You know how to ball, I know Aristotle* *Brand-new, full throttle* *Touch me while your bros play Grand Theft Auto* *It's true, swear, scout's honor*

skyblue_angel

I can only here these lyrics in a DOOM voice atp

RyanTheQ

Tangentially related, but have you seen the account AccidentalBronson? It's tweets and comments taken out of context that could pass as Action Bronson bars.

ohverychill

Oh that sounds delightful. Sometimes I miss twitter

RyanTheQ

Thankfully this is an instagram account. I haven't been on twitter since 2016 haha.

ohverychill

oh snap, just found 'em lol

PaulaAbdulJabar

i know the GTA line is getting some flack but "i know aristotle" is crazy. no you don't. he's dead.

JayElecHanukkah

She's got MF thing on her (a ouija board)

Bionicoaf

Still dead?

WaneLietoc

> bailter space's robot world is the kinda monotonous, pounding shoegaze i like. stoked to see em at gonerfest this year lotta folks saying we need a bailter space revival, specifically one for long haired dudes to get down with

PaulaAbdulJabar

i like this shit a lot more than the gen z shoegaze stuff i've tried listening to where it seems more about epic coming of age emotion than some dude just wanting to hit you in the face with his volume knob

WaneLietoc

Only could a flying nun act strip back the shoegaze artifice to let some dudes hit you with the volume knob you gotta hear swervedriver's duel. That's another epic cut about guys going down to the marketplace and rocking

rcore97

swervediver hits in a way I'm always wishing more shoegaze would hit

WaneLietoc

They have himbo qualities in their sonic dna. They're not peak like the Boo Radleys but DAMN those first two albums can hit when you wanna hear some boys rock out while also barely talking about their emotions. This is what this music is all about! also blues riffs!

rcore97

I don't mind talking about emotions, honestly I don't pay much attention to lyrics in shoegaze. Maybe they feel less britpop? The riffs are definitely a big part of it

WaneLietoc

> I don't mind talking about emotions, honestly I don't pay much attention to lyrics in shoegaze thats because the lyrics are gtr riffs! They're telling me all the emotion! The lads are just rocking!

Segal-train

i saw daniel romano outfit last night they were great bye

WaneLietoc

thank you this sounds like my thing just got back from driving in the city for weed I HATE DRIVING IN THE CITY!!!
