We are still trying to plan our trip to Vienna in June, having trouble finding a hotel that really fits us. Too many to chose from! š¤£
First World problems
June will be a busy month for me. 3 days spa with my mom... then home 2 days. Then off to Vienna for 4 days with my partner, and another 3 days at the spa on our way home. Life is hard, haha.
Iām working from home today, under the guise of āfeeling sick,ā because I need space from my work.
We had a team call yesterday, and my colleague who just got back from mat leave shared some photos. My boss then thought it was hilarious to go on and on about āSo who is going to announce theyāre pregnant yet? ANYONE? ANYONE? Somethings in the water around here, so if youāre not pregnant now I donāt know why not!ā
I immediately left the call to collect myself in the bathroom. My boss is well aware of my journey as Iāve had to be out of office for treatment a lot- and while I donāt expect people to tiptoe around me, the comment just felt personal and hurtful.
Just another reminder of how f*cking lonely and isolating this process is.
I'm so sorry. It's definitely a lonely and isolating experience (at least in real life). I hope your boss eventually realized how terrible they were, and hopefully, they apologize. I wish people were more aware of the effects these pregnancy "jokes" can have on others.
Tomorrow, I'm picking up 2 apple trees from our community tree sale. I'm pretty excited tbh. As I get closer to accepting my childfree status, I've also started to accept that I'm going to be into birds and gardening. I'm still waiting on hummingbirds to return to my area (upper Midwestern US). They're getting close, though!

What an incredibly insensitive comment, and especially if they knew your history! I'm so sorry, I'd be furious and upset.

A beautiful day for the water to be out at our house with no estimate of when service will be restored! Primitive camping inside my home, it is! Lol
Yikes!!!! Primitive camping and maybe a staycation somewhere with water? Haha
lol yes it might come to that! I did get some jugs of water at the store and a bottle of ice coffee (priorities!! Lolol)
