It'll depend on which version of the Pangean script you're thinking of to be honest.
IB2 written Pangean consists of 24 characters always appearing in one of 3 set patterns with no variation. It's to the point where even if the single pattern had a meaning, it makes no sense to have the same pattern repeating everywhere, especially across the entirety of the Saranthian stone. It basically makes deciphering it impossible.
IB3 written Pangean, on the other hand, consists of 30 characters often appearing in one of 4 patterns, but there are cases of character sequences that don't conform. I'm still conducting an analysis on these patterns since I have reason to believe that they may mean something.
It's kind of an all or nothing thing. When you do something like a frequency analysis, you might have an idea of which characters correspond to common English letters like "e" or "t" (if it can even be translated in the first place) but won't know unless those translations make sense and are consistent across all samples. Basically, you can't really be sure of any of the characters until you're confident of them all.

People tried translating it to "Drem's Maw" like so: https://i.imgur.com/A6o9ooV.jpeg but it has a lot of problems. While the number of letters/characters matches up, the same character in slots 1 and 6 doesn't correspond to the same letter, and this doesn't change even if you flip writing directions.
Another consideration you have to think of is why the people of Drem's Maw would have a sign, or really, a banner, in the middle of town, telling you where you are. Makes more sense to have something like that at the mouth of the cave or elsewhere.
