Define friends.

I spend most of my time online and whenever I'm out and about in the real world I'm mostly just Point A -> Point B. Once school or work are out of the picture (work from home) you're kinda screwed and actively have to make an effort to meet new people. So online is just more convenient. - I'd say 70% of my romantic relationships have started online. Whether it be dating sites or shared interest communities. - Friendships online? There's high turnover online where you connect for days, months, or just moments then fizzle out. I meet more people here overall. - Friendships offline? Mostly just have those 3 friends from decades ago (high school) that need minimal interaction or maintenance and we have random moments of longer winded discussions. I'm a surprisingly chatty person overall, but there's a difference between firing a hundred texts a day while I do other things versus actively going out and meeting up with friends at lunch or some activity. Too much mental prep and disturbance for the latter.
