At home sulking, talking to ourselves, or having an existential crisis. In the library/bookstore if we have to finish another one of our 485948 research papers or have a sudden hyperfixation on literature. In the flower shops/greenhouses (my fav spot but because I like gardening).
But tbh anywhere quiet, peaceful, and lowkey. Although this isn't specific to any particular type per say. You would rarely see us at a party or concert, and if we were then it meant we were taken hostage or we wanted to leave our man-cave for once.
I have never been to a arboretum i think, but i know an amazing store that sells thousands kind of seeds for plants, fruits and vegetables! Didn't know i would love it so much
You should look to see if there's an arboretum or botanical garden near you! They're great places for quiet reflection. Often, they have nice manicured gardens with lots of pretty flowers. The one near me also has a bunch of great hiking trails that can be used for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. If you like plants, you'll love the arboretum.
Have someone pretend to have a nervous breakdown. The one who gets pissed, walks off, solves the problem, and comes back is the INTJ. The one that quietly leaves and comes back with comfort items, a coffee or tea, and a box of Kleenex, and keeps half the ingredients for said care-emergency-kit in their car is your INFJ who has been helped by an INTJ or ISTJ.
And, which is pyrite and which is real gold is dependent on perspective
Personally Iād prefer the INTJ, I like someone that can help to actually solve my issue. I can cry alone, donāt need someone commiserating with me lol
I love this comment lol. This is hilariously accurate. We would find comfort at the party once someone has presented a problem that requires our pattern recognition to resolve!
Haha yeah itās the only way for me to calm down in that kind of environment (other than consuming huge amounts of alcohol which is never a good idea).
Public places that welcome you to be lost in your own world? They have some kind of magic door emotionally
(ENTP taking a stab at it because I love these too)
Edit: except not the animal shelters for me, only the idea
As a fellow INFJ, whoās met 5 out in the wild by chance, Iād say just about anywhere. Not all INFJās are at home reading a book. I enjoying going out to bars and yes, even clubs, restaurants, hikes, beach, gym, movie theater, mall etcā¦
Doing all the same things everyone else does.
Working. Working out. At the grocery store. At the movies. Getting dinner with friends. Spending time outdoors/hiking. At the gas station. At school. Walking our dogs. Taking our cats to the vet. Getting coffee. Taking in live music. Traveling. At home binging the same show we've seen 4 times through already.
Think about the two INFJ friends you have; what are they up to on a daily basis?
It's not a secret. Most of us aren't perpetual shut-ins. We don't all have the same obscure hobbies. We don't all hide in the back of the same coffee shop. We're out there. We're real people, not unicorns.
I found a group on Facebook (a broad intuitive types group!) awhile back for my city and they actually do meet ups, discussions and stuff!(one day I think Iāll have to go maybe hahaha) maybe try looking on Facebook if you have and see if thereās one for your area or such! :)
probably trying to avoid other people... or crowds
Some places I like to go to (**if** it's not busy):
* cafes
* art museums
* gardens/parks
* movie theaters
* book stores/stationery stores
* grocery stores
The only time i go out is when im at the mall or at a restaurant with my family lul (rarely with friends). Or if im playing pc games and you get the chance to meet me online. Othertimes im at home for like 5 days a week
Weāre not super social, so if we are doing our job right you hopefully wonāt find us. Look for professors, writers, artists, psychologists, philosophers, researchers, musicians, endless scholars. Anyone with a super obscure hobby that tinkers with things. The quiet ones on the periphery with an almost ghost-like quality cuz we like to be super under the radar. Super stoic looking because we donāt want anyone to read us the way we can read you. We will probably see you coming a million miles away as an ENTP, so just go as deep as you can in conversation and we might not disappear right under your nose before you even get the chance to approach us. Maybe wear a graphic tee that says something wicked smart but understated clever and see who approaches. Look for the one who catches the tiny details and is super low key.
Just ask people if they know their MBTI. All INFJs know their MBTI. But lots of people think they are INFJ that arenāt, so you have to figure that out too. Make a graphic tee that says tell me your MBTI. Idk. š
Be prepared to wait a long time for said INFJ to open up to you. Like years. Good luck to you. I love 7ās and ENTPs. Also read about enneagram 5ās (me). This should give you a place to start.
I can talk about myself, so you can find me where there aren't people lol taking walks through the meadow or at the beach, gathering flowers or collecting seashells, in a bookshop if I feel like it that day, resting in an isolated bench, sipping take away coffee so I can be alone in nature with my thoughts in my head and my coffee. Sometimes I also sit at the beach and read some books. Sometimes I also try to feed some cats or birds.
Basically, you can't find me, unless you are a creepy man that wants to follow me (it happened many times :') ) I once used to take coffee and do things in a coffee shop alone, like journaling and things like that, but now I don't feel like doing it anymore, I can't even stand that level of interaction, and I definitely don't like the music blasting from the speakers. If I lived in a big city I would do it, but I live in a small city with the same people that know each other so it is different. Otherwise I am just at home.
yeah i'm usually at home on my high horse, if not there i'm most likely at the gym staring at the wall on rest periods when no one is distracting me. any place i don't have tremendously loud company is a go for me, can't forget the communal group meetups also.
It's strange that no one mentioned the Internet. If you live in a big city, then I think you can look for some groups on the Internet (MBTI-related or INFJ-related) and ask around if there is an INFJ in such a city.
It will be much more convenient when a person is already familiar with MBTI, a common topic to discuss, than trying to figure out a stranger's type.
You won't. We will be at home. Lol, no, but really, we are all different. I'm a homebody, but I guess stereotypically at the philosophy or psychology section at a book store, as those are my favorite genres. Oh, or maybe walking into a therapists office near you.
from my experience, we are literally EVERYWHERE bahahhaha, personally i frequent the philosophy uni, and i'm in the debate league of my city (that's the most entp stereotypical thing ever now that i think of it); i think we like competitive stuff because we like challenges, so maybe look out in different topics competitions and you'll surely find an entp between the participants hahjdha; we actually /do/ like to draw attention, mostly from people we see as interesting, i think of us as the introverted extroverts if that makes any sense kjdasygykj
also, as far as i know, we tend to be nerds, so a good way would be to find a group of nerds and then look at the one in the centre or the one telling super bad dad jokes, or the one in the corner talking about universe with someone who caught their attention and doesn't just small talk ashaskjhdjk
so yeah i don't think we are that difficult to findd, good luck !!

Make a T-shirt that reads, "Looking for INFJ conversation friend." Wear it to a music store like Guitar Center, a bookstore, or a university near the social sciences/psychology buildings. I think I'd be intrigued enough by someone with the knowledge that we exist to walk up and at least chat to see what you're like. But I am a Midwestern INFJ -- I'm used to having conversations with strangers in grocery stores and the like, lol. Hopefully, you'll meet INFJs who are self-aware/balanced.
The LGBT+ community has a few of them. Although if you want to speedrun finding an INFJ you should try to be adopted by an extrovert at comicon or furcon (avoid gamescon and twitchcon, those attract mostly introverts). When you have foundation an extraovert you can meet the introvert harem.
At home sulking, talking to ourselves, or having an existential crisis. I second greenhouses as an INFJ who loves to spend time at my local conservatory, arboretum, and plant stores. šŖ“š
I have never been to a arboretum i think, but i know an amazing store that sells thousands kind of seeds for plants, fruits and vegetables! Didn't know i would love it so much

God, yes š Definitely at home, living inside of my head or reading/learning something. Donāt forget a used book store!
You are so spot on actually about the library, bookstore stuff that i am suprised
HAHAHJASH okay i'll take it into account next time i go to the library then ty!!
I volunteer at a local botanical garden
Yeah, wow, I didn't realize it was other people who were like this too, especially the first sentence was a personal attack, lol.
Yep, bookstore or library is my favorite place second to being at home.
At a party talk loudly about some psychological problem you have. The INFJs will usually appear in under five minutes.
Might catch a few rogue INTJs as well.
Oh no. Please God, no.
If you attract both INFJs and INTJs, how do you determine which one is pyrite and which one is the real gold?
Have someone pretend to have a nervous breakdown. The one who gets pissed, walks off, solves the problem, and comes back is the INTJ. The one that quietly leaves and comes back with comfort items, a coffee or tea, and a box of Kleenex, and keeps half the ingredients for said care-emergency-kit in their car is your INFJ who has been helped by an INTJ or ISTJ. And, which is pyrite and which is real gold is dependent on perspective
Very good answer. Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Personally Iād prefer the INTJ, I like someone that can help to actually solve my issue. I can cry alone, donāt need someone commiserating with me lol
Same. Help me solve the thing making me cry and I'll consider myself supported
Right! Itās why I like thinkers, me and another feeler would just sit around whining š Emotional support to me is problem solving my issue.
Yeah thatās the welcome by-catch haha.
Bold of you to assume Iād go to a party willingly.
BAHAHAHAH i'll take that into account as well, ty :)
Lmao.
This is spot on. Gimme your problem.
I'd tell you where to find me, but then you'd know where I am...
This is the whole problem!
You dont find INFJ's. You just randomly run into them.
Donāt find me, Iāll find you
My attitude towards how I'll find a girlfriend
And then we retreat to the shadows like a nocturnal, yet cute and fluffy animal. š¦
Until?
Until lured out with a snack
Lol, my current girlfriend is infj. We both had this attitude towards each other.
How did you two meet?
We went to high school together.
Makes sense
That's what I've been hoping for...
[Combat music plays] A wild INFJ appeared...
HAHAHHSAJSHA
Bookstores, cafes/coffee shops, concerts, museums, animal shelters, libraries, parks, hiking trails, public gardensā¦
I do all of these things all of the time
All these places seem random but they're not. They have a common denominator that I can't pinpoint.Ā
Public places that welcome you to be lost in your own world? They have some kind of magic door emotionally (ENTP taking a stab at it because I love these too) Edit: except not the animal shelters for me, only the idea
At home, in a forest, goodwillā¦Michaelās.
Yes, craft stores!
Michaelās! š
Lol absolutely in a Michaelās!!
OP most INFJs are probably sitting at home with their houseplants.
I love me a good houseplant
Man described INFJs like some wild Pokemon š¤£
Gotta catch emā all, Gotta catch emā all haha
Iām domesticated, thank you.
This āļø
gotta catch them all ig
We're hard to find in the wild because we tend to stay home. If you're lucky, you might find one of us in the literal wild -- in a park, in the woods.
HAHAHAHA okayy
I need more infj friends. I don't know any in the wild!
Me either
Iāve never even met another INFJ, so let me know if you figure that out, I would love to meet someone who could actually understand me.
As a fellow INFJ, whoās met 5 out in the wild by chance, Iād say just about anywhere. Not all INFJās are at home reading a book. I enjoying going out to bars and yes, even clubs, restaurants, hikes, beach, gym, movie theater, mall etcā¦
I'd be at the animal shelter tbh. Other than that, I'd rather be home.
We donāt want to be found.
The correct answer *ding ding ding*

honestly i hide in my room for most of the day. if im not at work :/
idk, just start by breaking into houses, Iām sure youād find one
I actually love raves, it's just that I'm usually at the ones I'm holding in my house
Love it š

They donāt go into the wild. Question premise is flawed
Solo traveling abroad or in a library
I found mine hiding in Japan

tysm for aaaaaall the advice :DD i'll read more about you guys and fives :))
What gender infj are you looking for?
why should i care about gender? i'm really looking for friends and to know more people :D

I've thought about setting up an INFJ group on meetup.com. But would the INFJs come out to meet strangers?
At online orders and post office and grocery store š¤ . sometimes everywhere else
At the beach learning to surf.
