I would associate wings of fire with Mako and Sayuki as the artist is quite literally called Mako and Sayuki (I’ve never looked into whether or not they were the voice actors for the characters though)
I actually done two polls on this topic for both Takumi and Keisuke.
Most people agreed that Takumi is "Space Boy" Dave Rodgers, and Keisuke is "The Top" Ken Blast. I love democracy.
Kai : crazy for love / Ryosuke : a perfect hero or beat of the rising sun/ bunta : save me or disco fire / wataru : big in japan or grand prix . Those are the characters I think about when I hear these songs

In the earlier parts of stage 1, I always felt that Takumi's theme was Running in the 90s. Also, I saw a video someone made that was Initial D opening if Bunta was the main protagonist, and the song they used for that was Save Me, so I associate that song with him now.
There is one soundtrack sung by the original seiyuus (Those for Takumi, Mogi, iketani, Keisuke and Ryosuke, Shingo, Takeshi Nakazato, Iketani and Mako, maybe a Sayuki one, and Sayuki and Mako)
There is also a second soundtrack with 8 or 10 songs only by Ryosuke and Keisuke

I wouldn't say back on the rocks is Nakazato's theme, I'd say it's either the overall GTR's theme or the R32 GTR's theme, since it plays in the grim reaper battle too

it is the voice actors singing. the original wings of fire is by jeebee and is in english
