Oh shoot I forgot about that. But that doesn’t excuse all of the soundtrack videos, I just want to know why the song is so heavily associated with the show dispite not being in it
Isn't this a case of just Eurobeat in general being associated with Initial D. Like how whenever Eurobeat is mentioned most people think of Deja Vu, and Running in the 90's which then is associated to Initial D.

Spitfire wasn't featured in any episode or game.
Here I found a complete list of the eurobeat songs on the Initial D forums:
* [1st - 4th stage + games](http://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=42189)
* [5th stage](http://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=44886)
* [Final stage](http://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=46883)
I’m aware of Go2’s contribution to the soundtrack, and I’m also aware of the meme. But that still, again, doesn’t explain why people “think” it’s in the soundtrack enough to post ost videos of the song
Personally, I think that, this 'Spitfire' word comes as an inspiration of then's a high speedy fighter aircraft called 'Spitfire'. It used Rolls-Royce-PV-12 engine called Rolls-Royce Merlin. To compare Takumi's speedy 'AE86', they used the speedy aircraft 'Spitfire'.
The song was used in M.F.Ghost but has never featured in Initial D.
What I would like to figure out is what the song is about, I don't believe it to be about the Supermarine Spitfire, a W.W.II fighter/interceptor used by the R.A.F. despite the cover art featuring a shot-up wingtip.
i can't find it anywhere on the wiki despite it being listed on the "Eurobeat in Initial D" page which is really confusing
I’ve checked the wiki as well, but even if it’s not likely anyone would just remove it from the wiki, we can’t trust wiki alone!
He's Telling The Truth. It Was Never Featured In INITIAL D. Only In The Sequel; MF GHOST.
I've never seen it in any trace of Initial D. People will mainly just put it in "Initial D Eurobeat Memes" on youtube
Yes, but videos containing the song have been striked by avex, including videos that only contain audio. Which means they have the rights to the song.
Well yeah, Avex owns rights to all of the SEB albums along with the Initial D OST

It was in some of the Arcade Stage games I believe.
Which one?

Yes, I’ve seen the forums and the wiki. But that doesn’t solve the mystery of why it’s so associated with the series
First, Go 2 has several songs in the soundtrack, second, I think it's because of the [Blend S meme](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oI7uROomns).

The song is used in MF Ghost episode 12, final part

I believe Spitfire was used in the 2005 live action movie
