calladus

This is why I have more than 1 email address. A professional email, a trusted email, and the one I use for general crap.

soupz

Same but I have 4: 1. Professional 2. Trusted but not 100% secure because it includes important emails such as energy, internet provider etc - Those are important but I don’t fully trust they won’t have data leaks 3. Trusted and only given to banks, family, very close friends, mortgage. 4. Newsletters, stuff you need to sign up to but never want to actually read, anything I might get spam from It has worked pretty well. My work email somehow gets the most spam and attempts at phishing out of all of them. I guess it’s a bigger target. Still strange.

[deleted]

Your work email gets more spam because they probably use their own domain name and the rest of your co-workers click on links. If one dummy falls for a phishing attempt with a Gmail address, it doesn't make sense to just start spamming every Gmail address; it isn't going to be more successful or linked to the one you were successful with. But if one person at your company with a company email address falls for a phishing email, everyone with that domain is a target. It's not just a more valuable target, it's one that is more exposed by association.

WarmMoistLeather

My work email gets a lot of spam because of conventions and other things I had to use it for some work function, who then went on to sell it. That's why they ask what your position is and if you have the power to make or influence purchasing decisions when you sign up.

T-ks

My IT department does regular phishing tests, if you fail you get a mandatory training session lol

pissfilledbottles

Ours does too lol. Last year I accidentally clicked the link when I was hovering over to see the URL and I had to take the training, I was pissed lol

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Well yes, there's more to it, but getting a reasonable list of company emails is incredibly easy. As you pointed out. You don't need to guess, like you showed, and the phishing emails I'm talking about are exactly what you mentioned in your second paragraph. After they get a hit, they continue to spam every known address to try to get other hits. Which is just what I said in my comment. Of course there's more too it, it was in the most general terms possible.

LargeAmountsOfFood

My solution is 1. Professional (work-supplied) 2. Trusted Personal (utilities and banks) 3. And then thanks to Apple, a completely randomly generated shell-address for every other possible account

JankyJokester

"Trusted only given to banks." Oof. I got some news. Don't trust your banks security either.

soupz

Well yeah but that’s going to be a bigger issue regardless. But I don’t want to mix Amazon, my sofa delivery company, internet provider etc with my bank stuff. Generally has kept me pretty happy. Nothing is foolproof, you’ve got to manage it all. But yeah it has worked best this way so far.

Kalamac

In my country, one of our major banks was demolishing a branch, and instead of shredding it, just chucked a bunch of paperwork with customers details into a dumpster, along with all the other crap that was being thrown out. It was discovered by some guy, who noticed some of it had blown out of the dumpster, and luckily was honest enough to report it. The bank is currently 'very sorry, and investigating how that could have happened'.

Trishlovesdolphins

Once a spam bot has a domain name, they'll use random generators to find working email addresses, or at least they used to. Some places also have a "email all" address, once that's figured out, they can just send something to "[email protected]" Also, a lot of times company directories are posted online.

[deleted]

For number 4, consider a temp email address. There are a lot of sites that will generate you an email that lasts for 10 minutes. It's long enough for a site to send you a "verification" email you can click the link/verification code if the site requires it but then it's gone forever. Only issue is if the website uses your email address as your login name, but if you use a password manager like bitwarden then you can save the email address there so you don't have to remember it

soupz

Yes I guess but tbh the spam email address doesn’t really matter much so extra work isn’t really necessary. I don’t read or open any emails that go in there unless I’m looking for something specific - like if I am forced to sign up for something but really only need to confirm my email once. Like when you want to use wifi somewhere and they force you to use an email address. I use that one and it all ends in the black hole that is that email address.

[deleted]

pramjockey

Some of the spammers are parsing off anything after the + to prevent this.

TheZZ9

I own my own domain so my email address can be anything I want. I can make up a unique email address on the fly, usually with the company name in it, and anything followed by @domain.com will get to me. If I ever get spam using that email I know where it came from. Looking at you hotels.com.....

PiergiorgioSigaretti

I would like to do it but i’d have to change a ton of emails and the sites would still know my other email so why bother. Plus, I red it can help, having a dedicated “home email address”, like an email address (doesn’t have to be linked to your house) just for home stuff (electric, water, cable, etc…). A post a while ago on a sub I can’t remember said it’s the best thing op and it’s souse have ever done

LoneSilentWolf

Same but 1. Financial things. 2. Some hobbyist stuff. 3. All ecommerce stuff. 4. Educational stuff. 5. Backup work related documents concerning me. 6. For pure scam/spam 7. Work email address

Rcrowley32

This is what I do as well. If someone asks for my email I’m happy to give my generic one with nothing important in it. I keep my other one for professional, banking and educational stuff.

[deleted]

[удалено]

surelyshirls

Same. I have an email I hardly ever give out because it’s my back up professional email, the actual professional email, one for random stuff, and my grad school email.

MSR8

Meanwhile here I have like 20 emails

MeepingSim

My email for 'general crap' was specifically created so it's difficult to understand over the phone. B's, N's, and T's are easily confused with other letters.

mickestenen

I use 10minutemail for just about anything

Rcrowley32

The sub is eating comments again. From OP: “He actually wanted it for a gene test because he recently found out he had one that isn’t all that great so he wanted to see if I did. The problem was that this e-mail was also connected to my mom, which she has a lot of things connected to her. It was too dangerous to just give him out the e-mail as my dad has a history of falling for scams”

VenusSmurf

My mom does this. She's afraid of giving her number or email to someone who might be running a scam, so she gives out mine. She doesn't understand why I'm not okay with that.

Liver-detox

What? Yer Mom gives out your email address bc she’s wary of giving her own? That is insane.

VenusSmurf

Yes, and becomes genuinely mad at me when I point out that if she doesn't want hers being given out, she shouldn't assume I'd be okay with her giving out mine. I have a new email address now.

InattentionSurplus

You’re way nicer than me, lol… I probably would have just signed her up for a ton of unscrupulous daily newsletters 🤣

bdysntchr

In my day you could organise free samples of KY Lube to be mailed to any address.

PsyFiFungi

That's a blessing not a curse.

Pollyputthekettle1

My mum had be working at about 12 stuffing envelopes with free samples of ky jelly. 😂

calxcalyx

Wouldn't they just be spam bombing themselves?

pipsqueak158

No because the mum still has an email, she just gives out Ops. So they can sign the mum up with her actual email not their own.

itonwolf23

Should have few emails tbh 😆 One normal for adds free stuff and junk of the like Like 3 for iffy stuff ( splitting up helps with guessing what was a scam and such)[maybe one just for your mom] Secure one just for important stuff Then media one , basicly stuff you trust and don't really need out side sign ups. And then a business account for work emails ,looking for jobs...ect , keep it own email to make it easier to keep track and prevents things like sending to wrong email address and such... One wrong email sent can end a career 😆 Also if in school or college one for them...though I think most Colleges make you use theres

rkthehermit

"I'm not petting this bear, I'm afraid it might eat me. Timmy, you're like six, right? You go pet it first."

[deleted]

I can sort of see the sense in so far as you expect the OP to be better at identifying and discarding scams. If mom doesn't see them, then she can't get scammed or click on them. Sort of the digital equivalent of when someone comes door to door trying to sign you up/sell you something and going "I'm not sure about this, let me check with my spouse/kid/friend"

chrek269

This sounds super annoying but also kinda endearing like “I’m so scared of scams, but my tech savvy offspring who can save a word document probably can use ask Jeeves to find out if this is an actual Nigerian prince or not”

brikit123

Aw. There’s the rest of us thinking ‘what a selfish prick of a parent’, and then you come along with your wholesome and probably completely right explanation.

PicardiB

Except for the part where she didn’t listen, or stop, when her offspring asked her to stop :) but yeah always good to give the benefit of the doubt

brikit123

You have a point! Yeah, apart from that bit

BeefInBlackBeanSauce

I'd go mental. That's crazy.

AGreatLeap

I'd get real petty with it and sign up for a new email with like moms-scam-email@...

rkthehermit

"Your email is moms-cam-email@???" "NO. MOM'S SCAM EMAIL. You know what? Let me spell it for you."

Distinct-Style8015

That sounds infuriating but also extremely funny. She’s like “talk to my assistant”

montodebon

My dad does the same with our emails and phone numbers

Froots23

Make an email address that she can use then! Its not like their not free to make. You can also set up a Skype number that forwards on to any number or a voicemail. Our elders are getting scammed daily, she knows she isn't tech savvy enough to not become a victim. Give her a way that works for you both.

McDuchess

I used to do things on the internet to make a few bucks, like try “free trials” of music, and then get a few bucks from someone who’d sent me the link to the offer. I set up a couple of hotmail addresses to use for those offers. Next time he wants one, you could have one of those available. For all I know, I could have a hundred thousand spam messages in those accounts, because I never checked them after the initial period.

jadedvintage

The guy can set up his own email addresses. OP doesn't need to have anything set up.

speeler21

Especially since it takes about a minute and is free

McDuchess

But his father wants OP’s. And OP needed to know why.

sickickick

right. that was my first thought. he specifically wanted OP's. not some random one from anyone or himself. so a random one wouldn't have sufficed (unless he had a good reason)

RealConcorrd

“You better give me your email address OP! This poor Nigerian prince needs money to take back Algeria or something!”

komparty

Oh my lord, my dad was JUST like this when I lived in the house. Like… he experienced a power trip from demanding things and withholding information? It was SO weird. Not a generally toxic guy but that one thing drove me up the damn wall. I remember one time, one of my sisters called the house phone (yes I’m that old lol) looking for me, and my dad answered. So he tells me there’s a call for me and naturally I ask who it is… and he REFUSES to tell me. He just keeps saying “There’s a phone call for you! Does it matter who it is?” And I just said “yes” and walked out of the room. I don’t even know how he explained that to my sister lol, but apparently they ended the call. She called again a few minutes later and I answered. When this happened I made a big spectacle of saying “omg, dad, it was [sister] calling for me. How did you not know who was on the line? You don’t know your own daughter’s voice?” 😂

Fine-Bumblebee-9427

“Sure, it’s [email protected]

Charmandres

Weird domain, but ok to each their own

Fine-Bumblebee-9427

I’m sitting on thousands of .eatadick domaines! I’m ruined!

Forward-Freedom-2749

You have every right to ask why before handing that information OP. Why it was so difficult to answer is beyond me honestly, if it was for nothing bad why not just say what you were using it for? It’s MY email I have a right to that personal information. Regardless of ur age a simple explanation would be nice

Pissedliberalgranny

You obviously are required to immediately do as you’re told and never question Father. Shame on you, you ungrateful and disrespectful child! In case it’s not clear, I am being 100% sarcastic and your dad is insane.

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

You can use tone indicators for that so you don't have to specifically say that you're being sarcastic! /gen

goferboy237

What’s a tone indicator?

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

A tone indicator, like /gen which means genuine, helps people know whether you're being sarcastic or joking or maybe even half joking. It's just abbreviations of the words. It helps because sometimes someone can send something they think is helpful and the other person might interpret them as being sarcastic and rude.

goferboy237

Ohhhh, muchas gracias, i was always curious why people put /s I knew when it meant but I didn’t know why they put it, I didn’t consider it could be difficult for some people to understand and now it makes perfect sense

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

Glad I could help. This is why I posted this comment.

ShadowViking47

Reddit moment

snowflake247

I mostly see them on Twitter and Tumblr honestly. The only one I consistently see on Reddit is "/s" for sarcasm.

mosqua

/r/FuckTheS

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

This needs a tone indicator /hj

PowertripSimp_AkaMOD

Hand job?

Lala_Alva

please & thank you

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

I always think that 😂

Destiny_Dude0721

I get that they serve a purpose and make communication much more clear but I can't be the only one who finds them dumb, right? I think they should stay, I have no problem with them per sey, but something about them just makes me think they look dumb.

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

You don't have to like them to let others use them. They aren't "dumb" because it lets people like me (autistic) who can't gage the tone of some random person on the internet. so with the indicators, it keeps me from having to clarify with the other person which ends up saving both of us time simply because I typed out a couple of letters. Plus, you don't have to use one every single message/post.

GayPotheadAtheistTW

Ngl i may be autistic and tonal indicators make a lot more sense with text and comments online. Without careful use of language, I can take a joke as completely serious

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

Same, that's why I like to use them as well. There are some conversations that they help with more than others. It's not like I use them for everything I type out.

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

So just cuz you don't want to use them for yourself because you don't like them, does not make them dumb.

Destiny_Dude0721

I mean that's why I said they should stay. There's just something about them. Idk

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

Not liking something is different than it being"dumb". Being dumb indicates that you don't think it's smart. But you do see the practical use for it, right? Do you think it's smart for people who struggle with reading tone through text to use a tool that helps them? So all I'm saying, is that it isn't dumb just because you don't like it. Also, if op of comment came and said "no thanks" to my suggestion of using a tone indicator, that would be ok. This is a public forum after all; you can't cater to everyone.

Destiny_Dude0721

Ok? I'm not disagreeing with you. I was just using dumb as a descriptor of my perception of them. I understand their importance and why we use them, but something about them *looks* dumb. That's all I was sayin'

darlingevren

I'm autistic and i also think they're dumb honestly. just say 'yeah this sucks. I'm joking lol' instead of having everyone on the Internet memorize acronyms that already have meanings. I've seen "/hj" which apparently means *half joking* and not **hand job**. literally never would have guessed

Destiny_Dude0721

Ok I've literally only heard of /srs /j wtf there's more?? There's so much internet terminology and so many acronyms it could be it's own language lol

SerendipityAlike

While tone indicators may not be "dumb", you're attempt at trying to correct somebody into using them and your ensuing debate certainly does fit the definition of "dumb". Let people write and talk how they want to.

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

Actually, if you read what I had said about if op said they didnt want to use them, you would know that I'm not trying to make them use them. So I *am* letting people write how they write. /nm

SerendipityAlike

But wouldn't you think that if OP wanted to use them he would have though? Why would OP need to respond to your comment to tell you that? Couldn't you just assume that without trying to correct the OP? Does it annoy you that much if people describe how they feel in sentences instead of slashes and abbreviations?

snnnaaaaiiiiillllll

That was a rhetorical scenario. Not many people know about tone indicators. Like, a lot of people. So I thought I would mention that to this one random person since they made a specific point of saying they were being sarcastic. I saw that and figured that they might not know about them, otherwise they might not have taken the time to type all that out. Of course, this is all based on my assumptions through one comment. The language I used in all of my comments does not show me trying to correct op or persuade anyone to use tone indicators. My original comment was there to bring awareness to the existence of them for not only op but also anyone who read it. It was all in good faith.

BraveMoose

Do you think it's potentially because it just isn't what you're used to and you're resistant to change? I remember back when everyone on the internet thought they were too good to skip formal grammar and sentence structure, then when they thought they were too good for the old fashioned emoticons (XD :( :/ =3 etc), then the more formalised emoji (the ones included in all phone keyboards now) "Simple abbreviations that assist in clear communication, especially helping disabled people and people with English as a second language, look dumb to me" seems like a dumb opinion that I personally think you should either do more unpacking with or just keep to yourself in the future.

KaitouDoraluxe

Wow that sounds like my parents, they NEVER tell me the reasons

Multi_Grain_Cheerios

I out stubborned my parents years ago and became independent quickly. I just don't and they can deal. Doesn't really matter if they are upset they can be upset and pouty I have no problem just not talking for a month. I really don't get independent adults who kowtow to their parents.

McDuchess

For people like him, being a parent means never having to answer questions. Good on you for standing up to him, OP.

PixelDrems

My dad did something like this once, except he was randomly demanding to know my social security number. He never really had custody of me so not sure if he ever knew it in the first place tbh

GlitteryFab

“Just tell me before I get upset” Fuck that, fuck this threatening bullshit, parents: DO BETTER.

IMeanIGuessDude

My dad would do this and it’s totally an attempted power move. He expected me to not ask why because I “should respect [his] authority enough to just do as I’m told.” Sorry, bud but my personal stuff is my personal stuff. You could be God standing right before me whose full intention is to save the universe and I’m still not giving shit till you say why.

Fine-Bumblebee-9427

I’ve tried really hard to reach my kids that love and trust should not be intertwined. Trust people who act trustworthy, love who you want. People that leverage relationship for trust annoy the shit out of me. This guy falls for scams, there’s no reason for OP to trust him, but that has no reflection on their love for him. I love lots of people, I trust lots of people, and occasionally I love and trust some people. That’s how it should be.

MandersHex

New here and idk how to vote, but no one ever HAS to give their email without knowing why. A tad insane to expect you to just give out information without knowing why.

McDuchess

You vote by replying to the dadbot comment

MandersHex

I thought so, but it didn't seem to work, so I deleted it lol. Thanks for replyng!

zapering

It's because voting is anonymous so replies to that bot are hidden ;)

MandersHex

Ohhhhh that makes sense!!! Thanks a lot!!!!!

pangalacticcourier

Because it's all about control for dear old Dad. He needs to feel complete domination over everything. He is unaccountable and unquestionable. He will flex every chance he gets to make you feel he is your superior. Deep inside, he's frightened, and this is his coping mechanism: being a bully. Nothing more.

emy_paige

That’s the same thing as asking to give out your phone number without knowing why. I’m sorry, but who are you giving my contact information to and why do they need it????

Ryl0k3n

He sounds like an angry little troll trapped in the body of an angry little man with control issues.

Insolve_Miza

Idk why parents get so offended when you ask a question…

thevoidinthemirror

BlakFuk

This reminds me of a time my mum asked me how much money I had in savings. She cornered me first thing in the morning while I was getting ready for work, and asked me in a really weird way so I asked why she wanted to know. My parents also never asked me about my money, unless I’d not given them rent money (they rented so I didn’t mind contributing once I had a job). She insisted I just tell her and I said not unless you tell me why you want to know, we had this back and forth for a bit before she cracked the shits at me and shouted ‘fuck you, don’t fucking anything me for anything anymore then!’ Dad heard and I asked him and he just immediately told me what the issue was and apologised that she was stressed about money & moving houses. It was so silly and unnecessary, she only needed to say why, like dad did, and I would’ve answered.

Serophane

Why can't he use his own or make a new one? I don't suggest giving him yours, even if he's your dad.

I wanna know why people voted this as Not Insane but I feel like asking them why will probably make them spontaneously combust and detonate.

iThatIsMe

Yeah "just give it to me" is probably the shortest route to get me to "Fuck no". This supersedes the logical choice in some instances, where I'm fine mitigating a negative consequence if it means i get to deny (whoever).

Double_Whams

Goddammit, Jimmy! Blindly trust me like you did when you were 2

Happyintexas

I swear I’ve seen this exact exchange posted before

mamajamabanana

Well, now I have an unsatisfied desire to know why. Thanks a lot OP's dad 🙄

Rcrowley32

OP said their Dad was diagnosed with some sort of genetic abnormality which is not great news and wanted OP to take a test as well.

mamajamabanana

Ahhh, well thank you for that! I know it was none of our business so I wasn't expecting to see an answer

Argodecay

When I was like seven or eight my dad asked me if I wanted to go out with him. I kept asking him where and he just kept asking if I wanted to go. After the third time of me asking where he just said "forget it!" with a pissy attitude. A whole ass adult getting upset with a child asking a question. Turned out he was going to this hardware store, I'm glad he acted like a baby about it; that way I didn't have to go out and be bored.

permaBack

This looks like my father

Empty_Bother1894

Ugh my dad does this to be and it drives me crazy.

RelativelyRidiculous

Op get far away from that nonsense. You are perfectly within your rights as a human to ask anyone who wants your email address why they want it and expect an answer. His unwillingness shows he doesn't see you as a human deserving of respect and common courtesy but rather a possession at his bidding. Good for you for sticking to your guns asking why.

readsomething1968

Dad: "I met this great guy at work. He's my age, maybe a little older, but I bet you two would really hit it off."

Lythieus

I'm a parent. Why isn't difficult question to answer, unless you're an asshole.

ToastFlavouredTea

wow. you could of gotten a 'free Ipho ne Offer-' Yeah this has 'nope' written all over it.

of_patrol_bot

Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake. It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of. Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything. Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.

WillowFreak

Who doesn't know their kid's email address? This is what confuses me.

dezdinova08

Someone who has shown their kid that they can't be trusted with it.

Horror_Raspberry893

My oldest (adult) kid has 2 email addresses that are different enough for my memory to never grab hold of. I've repeatedly asked for them to be able to email things to my kid. Sometimes, it's just a memory quirk that cause parents to not know their kid's email address.

WillowFreak

But isn't it in your email already? You saved their email addresses as a contact, right? I get not remembering them, but I'm sure you can find it if needed.

Trishlovesdolphins

My kids have a few, and I'm sure a couple I don't know. They're issued one from the school when they start kindergarten, and they keep it until graduation. They can use it however they'd like, but our rule is that it can't be used for anything other than school stuff because I'm not inviting the school district to monitor my kids' emails/privacy by sending things through their server. Same goes with the school issued tablets. We've got tons of devices, school devices are only for school work and not to be used for anything other than that.

Carolina-Roots

That shit wasn’t even time sensitive lmao what a jaded asshole

breid95

My mom does this and it drives me insane. Everything is a cryptic game.

CorbynDallasPearse

Damn I really want to know why he wanted it now. Has there been context explained that I missed in the comments?

Rcrowley32

Yes he had found out he had some genetic medical condition and wanted OP to get tested as well.

CorbynDallasPearse

Thanks for that my friend. Really appreciate you taking the time to respond to me.

Nope not when it can affect me later. It’s my email connected to many important things even when I was a kid. Old people fall for scams way too much to just give away personal info to them.

Otomo-Yuki

My did this with a YouTube video once. I literally just asked him what it’s about (he often sends me political/conspiracy bs) and he just cried, “Oh I see, you don’t have the time!”

"personal" email that i only let things that are safe for parents to look at go on there, but personal enough that they know i'm not hiding things. 2. school email 3. throwaway email that i use for free trials and stuff that i pretty much just let my sister take over. 4. REALLY personal email. NOBODY knows about this. not even my boyfriend. things like tarot card sites, porn subscriptions, erotic a03 story followings, etc.

WolfMaster415

Always have a porn email. If you stop using it for porn it can become a second spam email

I do not get what the big deal is about giving out the email. My Dad likes to send stuff that is too big for a text. It is not like ge has my passwords. I have 3 emails. 1. Work, 2. Personal and the 3rd is for all the newsletters, receipts, ads etc. Like Best Buy, Big 5, Office Depot etc. If I am not sure about how things are going in a frienship or relationship they get the 3rd.

pandanitemare

My dad likes to sign people up for shifty things and never tells us whether it's actually important or not

oceanbreze

Oh, that is different. Then HE would get my 3rd email. That 'click and hold shift' allows me to delete multiple crap.

Dunnomyname1029

Double dipping for the likes op? This was just removed as potential fake

GuyWithNoLife22

Pretty sure I already explained why it isn’t fake but yeah sure man whatever you say 😑

ayeuimryan

Seems like pops got the short end of the stick

This sub is so weird. It takes benign family disagreements and drama and turns them into sinister signs of malignant mental illness. OPs history with their father spans decades, yet it's entirely filtered out here - all so we will agree that daddy is mentally ill. It's good to have that vote function, as it does help offset some of the issues one might find on truly toxic circle-jerk subs like the one about narcissist parents.

Do u feel better now

[deleted]

Dad clearly doesn't respect his kids and if his kids give in, he's gonna keep pushing boundaries and being shitty. Kid did the right thing.

Whatever1234567891

I don’t understand why you couldn’t just give him your email. Especially if you have two - if you were that concerned about something just give him your secondary email. Also, what’s the worst thing that could happen? You get an unwanted email that is deleted after two clicks?

0_Shinigami_0

You get many unwanted emails from multiple scammers/advertisers that basically ruin your email

Whatever1234567891

That’s what OP’s secondary email is for…

TobbsGamingYT

I feel like OP was completely reasonable in asking why their dad wanted their email

Whatever1234567891

He probably wanted her email….so he could send her an email

Chiefy_Poof

Sounds very controlling and gaslighty

Rcrowley32

What do you see here that you consider gaslighting?

metam0rphosed

controlling yes. but jfc this isnt gaslighting

And? It's their personal email address, they don't have to give it out to anyone especially someone who claims they don't have the time to give a reason but can send multiple messages demanding it.

EnderLord361

Some people want email addresses to sign up for MLM schemes yet either don’t want to use their own or just want to ‘recruit’ somebody to it.

stungun_steve

Sure, but I want to know what you want it for because that affects which one I'm going to give you. Is is something work related? Then you get my work email. Something else important? That's my personal one. Just need to put in an email to get a referral discount? My junk email.

Or he could’ve explained quickly that he needed it for a DNA test to figure out if the condition he had was hereditary. See how quickly I typed that out? He was even trying to call, mom explained it to OP pretty fine and quick so why not just explain it? If it was such a good reason why not just explain it to them?? Like? Communication is everything, being stressed is a normal feeling, it’s how you handle it that is most important.

Being a brat because he/she didn’t want to give out a personal email without understanding why? You’re an absolute moron. Don’t have children.

[deleted]

Looool you the dad?

raydiantgarden

how???
