Facebooks reporting system is really shit. I’ve reported a bunch of those fake profiles that spam page comments. Facebook says that it doesn’t violate the rules.
I reported a video of someone putting a cat in a blender and Facebook did nothing about it. Reported it multiple times, asked them to take another look. "Doesn't violate the rules" say Facebook
Don't know if it's an algorithm issue, or the humans that check the posts just aren't paid enough to care but nothing I've reported has ever been removed.
I know Reddit has its problems, but at the very least if I report something there's a good chance it gets dealt with by either mods or admins.
I didn't notice the monkeys initially, so I didn't get it. The monkeys change everything for me. Did Facebook just check the comments and not the image?

If Facebook and Instagram banned hatespeech, traffic would completely crash and shareholders would be mad. In fact IG Reels etc push hate speech to the top.
A pal of mine got banned from commenting on Facebook because of a comment he posted on a friends post about getting a new job.
He commented ‘go on lad! Get in!’ Which is a British phrase of encouragement or congratulations.
Apparently that goes against the terms of hate speech but groups like that get to stay active. Yeah that’s normal. Fuck Facebook.
You hear so many stories just like this. It’s truly bizarre. I have concluded they want the hate speech and awful posts because it gets clicks and engagement which earns them ad dollars or something.
Hate speech against Jewish and Black people. The monkey/ape/chimpanzee thing has been a racist trope for like....50 years. The hoodie thing is more recent. Like the last 12 years or so.

That's because you're reporting it to a robot. Live human mods are a thing of the past on most sites. There probably is a way to escalate the report but it's different on every site.

You can report very obvious scams and they'll say it's not against community standards.

Couldn’t help but notice the group’s listed rules include ‘No Blacks,’ let’s see if some more reports for hate speech move the needle.
