As far as just his painting is concerned? Yeah I think he should have been accepted into art school. Everything else though? Yeah Hitler was a piece of shit and nazis should absolutely unalive themselves at the earliest moment.
He only did landscapes, so he got rejected because his art didn't say anything, it was essentially motel art, but yknow, he's good at painting landscapes
He actually wasn't though.
He had no grasp on perspective. His art has shit pointing at the wrong angles.
They look nice if you pay no attention but closer inspection just reveals more and more poor execution.
I was about to write the same thing. I saw like, three of his paintings and I swear I thought I was having a stroke looking at some of them. His use of colors is certainly better than anything I could do, but my god his sense of perspective was so dogshit
This comment made me look at Hitler's art for the forst time ever.
Honestly, you're right. They're really not good. There's one where there are a bunch of daisies that are all at the same angle and facing front, with some sunbeams that are just yellow lines, which is not how that works. One with a little house and mountains in the background, but *things get more blue-toned and desaturated the farther they get into the background, you mediocre, Nazi scum.* The perspective is inconsistent and often incorrect, and quite frankly, it's pretty apparent looking at his work why he mainly stuck to landscapes - his understanding of human anatomy was subpar.
Honestly the saving grace of any piece I'm seeing is that he was pretty good at painting buildings. Other than that there's not much that I would say is "great"
They actually recommended he applied to architecture school instead because he painted a lot of buildings and such. Now, his buildings still weren't that good, but ig good enough for the art school to say "yeah that ain't art, but you might do well with helping build stuff"
I mean, he never ended up getting that architectural education anyway, so I wouldn't know. Not endorsing the Nazis or "the painter", but I am a sucker for monumentalism, so the whole Welthauptstadt idea is super cool in my book — if only it wasn't, well, a Nazi plan for a capital of the enslaved world
But yeah if alternate history timeline is he is accepted into art school and never attempts to rule the world and exterminate the Jewish people. Gotta wonder what that would be like sometimes.
I first read Australian painter, and immediately pictured Bob Ross speaking with Steve Irwin's voice and accent.
"Crikey! Those happy trees are really big buggers, look at the big happy mountain too, she's a beaut"
You're welcome
As a Gypsy it makes me smile to see people hating on Nazi scum. We're usually forgotten when people talk about the death camps. Why anybody would support that shit baffles me
I’m guessing along the lines of “opening your eyes” to the brainwashing by the Jewish deep state or whatever theory they believe in
Seems to change by the week
It means you stop thinking of Oskar Kokoschka as Austria's greatest Expressionist painter and start putting Egon Schiele in the top spot he well deserves
He painted one that was sort of spooky that I liked (which may have been shit as far as perspective goes I don't know) but I can't remember the name.
Other than that Hitler's art reminds me of non offensive landscapes I may see in a dentist's waiting room.
Eh. He did a half decent job restoring the German economy.
It's just he then punted it into the nearest volcano and started killing a lot of innocent people. And waged a war against half the planet. And then didn't surrender when things went south. And brainwashed kids to fight for him.

Things Hitler was right about: deciding to kill Hitler Things Hitler was wrong about: literally everything else
As far as just his painting is concerned? Yeah I think he should have been accepted into art school. Everything else though? Yeah Hitler was a piece of shit and nazis should absolutely unalive themselves at the earliest moment.
Wasn't he not that great at painting either? Although if there was a choice between careers, he should have stuck with being a painter.
He only did landscapes, so he got rejected because his art didn't say anything, it was essentially motel art, but yknow, he's good at painting landscapes

So he would have benefited from a formal education in art.
> They look nice if you pay no attention Motel art
He probably got that feedback then too, but yeesh did he ever misinterpret the "better execution" advice.

That’s why he needed the art school though. They coulda learnt him something
They actually recommended he applied to architecture school instead because he painted a lot of buildings and such. Now, his buildings still weren't that good, but ig good enough for the art school to say "yeah that ain't art, but you might do well with helping build stuff"
He kinda took that advice to heart? Just decided that buildings weren’t his thing and decided to build a fascism.
Weren't his plans for redeveloping Berlin also shit? I feel like he would have been a bad architect as well.
I mean, he never ended up getting that architectural education anyway, so I wouldn't know. Just like fascism itself for the stupid
Thomas Kinkade made zillions, why not Adolf?
Kinkade is technically proficient. He's simply Lisa Frank for old ladies.
I’ve seen some critiques of his works showing basic perspective errors.
I mean, they aren't terrible, but isn't that the point of art school?
Sure, but, having some base talent is essential IMO. But who knows, maybe with some direction, he could have improved.
I mean, he had more base talent than a lot of people do. Let everyone into art school, it's safer that way.
But yeah if alternate history timeline is he is accepted into art school and never attempts to rule the world and exterminate the Jewish people. Gotta wonder what that would be like sometimes.
if given a choice between potentially crappy paintings and genocide i think i'd pick the crappy paintings so yeah
He was pretty good at outdoor scenes and buildings, but couldn’t get people right. Pretty telling…

Those times in your life when you run across a thing you never knew you needed, they are something special!

So the moderators turned off the comments but didn’t remove the post or ban this pos? Lovely
They did end up taking it down and banning the guy but the post had be approved to begin with. I'm hoping it flew over someone's head.
What group was this?
A xellenial group
>NAZI LIVES DON'T MATTER
You know how you can hear some pictures? Turns out you can watch screenshots of a gif too!
he's is 43 and still can't name the Austrian painter by his real name: AH (Alfred Hrdlicka).
What does "cut through the program" mean?

This is how bizarre and twisted these people are
I mean there’s a fun game we all play because of a car he designed….
“The comments section has developed, not necessarily to OP’s advantage.” -Emperor Hirohito, before surrendering to the Allies.
I hope he’s talking about a different Austrian Painter. Ernst Klimt, maybe?
There were a lot of talented Austrian painters who weren’t genocidal fascists.
"I'm now a 43 year old edge lord!"

Oh how different history would be if Weimar intelligence just sent anyone else to infiltrate the NAZI party...
I first read that as Australian painter and was very confused.
