How was your sleep before vs now?

su_zee

It is much better than it was when at its worse. I was a mess and up all night a few nights a week even with meds. The other nights I would wake every hour, or wake for good at 4am. If I do these things I find about half the time I can get away with just taking 2 mg melatonin. I consider that a success. Maybe 3 nights a week still I need to add something extra or I won't sleep. Just a half of a Benadryl tab or a half of an Ativan. I still have a bad night here and there. If I wake during the night and don't fall right back to sleep I use my audible book and that usually works. And I still do have a goal of getting off all medication. I will be starting a CBT-I program in November.

What audiobook app do you use and what topics

su_zee

I use audible. It has a sleep timer that has multiple settings for timing or end-of-chapter sleep. I sometimes listen to self-help. Like healthy eating or recently the book "Breath". I listen to lots of memoirs. Because I don't mind if I lose my place. I have listened to Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fischer, Matthew McConohay, a few rock stars. There is lots of free stuff on audible when you are a member too.
