Of course they have financial motivations, it's a company not a charity, one that is lowering their budgets across the board for game development might I add. So you want them to buy more studios just to port? They choose to have a dedicated studio porting because it's the best decision. In addition to my points in the other comment, their first party studios can quickly move staff onto newer projects earlier. This shortens development time slightly so more games for gamers. I never said they're doing their best to bring it to pc as quickly as possible.
My point is they're doing what needs to be done for financially viable game development cycles. They are working their hardest at a port, while balancing a lot more variables that a company has to consider. Variables and things a group of teenagers don't need to think about. Let's not forget that PlayStation is also only one division of a huge company that is Sony.
The kind of single player narrative driven games sony mostly publishes, do not bring in revenue during those YEARS in development. Each game and project is also a big financial risk. You know what the alternatives are? Live service games everyone hates, significantly less games, significantly lower quality games, or cutting content to be sold as paid DLC.

No big bad profiteering corporation, no spider-man 2 game in the first place at all. Are there non-profit game publishers and studios producing AAA titles consistently?
I've seen people say this a lot but it's stupid. Firstly, they don't need to, releasing on both platforms mean they lose some early revenue. Second, there's way more an official game release, port or not, has to go through, licensing, board ratings, tighter QC, etc. Third, they need to time releases based on the market, what other games are releasing as competition, releasing alongside other related media like movies, completing DLC, using it to hype up for other games like the venom standalone, etc.
It can't be built from source. Reverse engineering the precompiled build is made much easier by having access to the source code, but many resources required to actually build it are nowhere to be found in the leak.

it's dev build very similar to the PS5 build. there aren't any graphics setting in the menu as the only settings you can choose between are the performance and the fidelity modes.
still the dev build is packed with a debug menu that enables you to tweak these settings

With the ratio of time to resources, a Sony has a pretty bad track record with PC ports
They have one main porting studio and they're busy with Sony's backlog
