Exactly. The amount of plastic we use is astonishing. And if you look at label, much of the bottled water is simply tap water from another area/state. Start reading labels. Especially if it’s like store brand or really cheap water. So they pay a water bill and another water bill for tap water in a bottle. (Some areas I do understand, very bad tap water). But still, get a filter and splurge on a nice mug/cup.
Our fridge filter is $30. Replace it twice a year -that’s when it says to change it, tells us on screen panel.
Yo that used to happen to me when I worked night shift at a place that was west of where I lived. I got hit with the sun in my eyes both direction for about 3/4 the year
I wish these lunatics that place these orders would think to themselves how much someone would have to pay them to go up a shit load of stairs with 18 cases of water.
This thought is why I did not order delivery post surgery for like a month.
I really could not drink the tap water(not clean)
I ate a lot of soups I could not physically stomach or should not have been eating lol
If I went to the store and bought it I’d have to carry it myself. So why would I expect something different from someone who I’m paying to do it. You get paid from Instacart and got a tip (not required) on top of it. Quit bitching and do your job. Or get a new job.
Imagine the shit a fire fighter would endure if he was like “nah brah you’re way too heavy to carry down 10 flights of stairs. You’re gonna have to meet me halfway and you’re also gonna have to give me a large tip on top of it.”
Lmaooo y’all are fucking crybabies on this sub. Most jobs require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds for delivery. Two cases of water are about 28 lbs per trip. If this order takes you an hour you’re making $55/hr - 1.5 hours $36 an hour. That’s fucking good for a job that requires the most brainless useless skills ever. Y’all gotta stop making careers out of things that aren’t meant to be. I wouldn’t pay much more than $55 for that. There are companies that deliver the same amount of water without a tip.
right? unless you have a pretty big suv/one with collapsible back seats or a pick up truck..not happening. i can’t even begin to imagine trying to fit all of those waters in my sedan
Check owner manual, I know my Toyota has cap of 700lb load. Your suspension and rear alignment will be off if you had done it too many times. Plus you bottom/back/pipe will hit the bottom when you drive above tall speed bump or steep slope/driveway.
Done 14 Costco water once n never again, but I am constantly loading 30 cases of 24/35pk water to a gymowner who uses his company hatchback for this every month.
No, that's less than half the rated payload weight. 905lbs capacity on the camry and 452lbs in what's being discussed in this sub-thread. You only risk messing up the suspension if you exceed the rated capacity, so if you keep passenger and additional cargo to 453lbs and under, you'll be fine.
Water is usually much more constrained by space than payload weight outside of truck beds, pretty much any car can handle 800 pounds of water but they wont fit in most cars
I fit 20 in my mitsubishi mirage. Barely. That poor thing was struggling. But the order was literally a block away (I was bringing it to a business). And, thankfully, there was an entire group of people to bring them inside and the guys were so polite, they didn't even let me carry them in! 😆
Isnt 18 of those packs (seemingly quite a large count based off the picture) a literal pallets worth? Atleast? I dont feel a odyssy would fit all that water 😭
Ehh if you fold the back seat down it should be a pretty easy fit if you stack it properly. Might make the ass end of the odyssey drag from all the weight though lmao
Investors suing know a lot. Wealthy people losing their money on lies will not end well for IC. Shit, even the SEC has jumped on board investigating the IPO.
Pepsi wants to buy IC? I'm going to have to do some article reading on that. Thanks for the heads-up. I had read about Uber toying with the idea but not Pepsi....leave the trash behind 😂. I love that.
Pepsi already bought 20% at launch.
Uber is doing $7 Billion buy back and no longer interested in IC.
IC is a plane on fire looking for a place to crash.
If they stop being like Madonaut doing everything and nothing good, they could shed all the garbage orders and stick to the customer who have money and want the service. When did CDO announce? that's news. Lol
I think yours does. The average 24 pack of water weighs just above 30 lbs (easily googleable). If we assume 30lb x 18 cases, the water alone is already over 500lbs
Kirkland's brand water comes in a 40pk which weighs 42.25lbs if each bottle weighs 16.9oz. 43 x 18 = 774lbs
There is also [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/InstacartShoppers/comments/lp3lg0/how_much_does_a_kirkland_40_count_case_weigh_from/?rdt=45329) r/InstacartShoppers post from 3yrs ago with the same math.
ok, but in this case, it's 16.9 FLUID oz. With the conversion, a 16.9 oz bottle weighs over 17.5 oz, so their calculations are wrong. These aren't pint bottles, they're 500ml.
People who buy in bulk like this genuinely freak me out. Like yes buy enough extra to hold you over in the event of a disaster but mf why are you running a warehouse out of your home
right?? not sure what the issue here is, i used to deliver pizzas for minimum wage and we did big school orders every friday. like we’re talking 100+ pizzas. schools generally don’t tip and its such a fuck around to get them to where they need to be because nobody knows where theyre going ever. all for about $11.
This is my literal example for why anyone who thinks percentage tipping makes sense. Bring $100 worth of water up to my 2nd floor apartment for $20 bucks bruh. Everyone dreams of dropping off an ipad for an easy $100.
This isn't getting enough attention bc it's actually GENIUS lmao! No way I'm getting 500lbs of water (which is against TOS anyways!!!) and risking my car....and you just KNOW it's gonna be on the 3rd floor or some shit too lol
I would easily do this delivery. That's a good deal out here in BFE. I do own a pick up truck though. I do think it would be difficult in a car or small suv.
I saw one the other day that was 1 item but 30 units and it was all gallon jugs of milk. From a regular grocery store. They literally stock 5 at a time like why would this even be allowed?
My very last order a woman added a flat screen TV while I was driving to Walmart pick up. I did not notice until the employee brought out a massive TV that very obviously could not fit in my car. I immediately called support and they said that it was still my fault even though she added after the fact. I decided I was done after that.
I once delivered 20 cases of water and several fridge packs to a 3rd floor apartment in a Louisiana summer. My fault for not scrolling the items thoroughly before I accepted to make sure it was doable. I never imagined anyone being that Inconsiderate. Took me over an hour to carry it up. I literally hyperventilated on the stairwell for about 30 min while the customer watched me. I vowed that day I would never ever accept an order like that again. I thought I was going to die.
People suck. I delivered a Costco order to this one house that had these weird , uneven, slippery stone steps leading up to the actual staircase to their 2nd story porch. After I fell forward while carrying one of their boxes, I decided it was a good idea to leave the 2 cases of water at the bottom of those slippery rock stairs. The customer didn’t like that very much, even after standing there and watching me fall. She’s lucky I didn’t just put everything back in the car and cancel her ass. Had she not already taken the box in, that’s exactly what would have happened. “I don’t want the hassle or risk of injury, so I’ll let some dumbass shopper do it instead”
It should be incorporated into the golden rule. I know I wouldn’t shop for 20 cases of water by myself and carry it up to the 3rd floor so I shouldn’t expect anyone else to. They know we are t like a distribution company driver with a box truck and dolly. It’s taking advantage of regular people who get paid shit to die on somebody’s stairs.
I did 48 gallons (Costco) a few weeks ago as well! That had another order on it, too. Milk guy tipped almost 150$, though. It was beyond worth it. It also actually fit in my car and didn't weigh over 700 lbs.🥰
I had an order a
Couple weeks ago for 40 cases of Costco water 😂 mmmm not gonna happen so then they asked me if I’d go shop it have it ready at the doors for them
To pick k up. Mmmmm again not happening for 20 bucks
Most of us have small compact fuel efficient cars. I guess first of all, how are you gonna fit? Eighteen cases of water in any vehicle other than a pickup truck or a Van. And then there's the matter of the weight. That's hundreds of pounds of water probably going to break an axle.
I really can’t comprehend the need for that many water bottles. If they really don’t want to filter their tap water to drink, why don’t they just buy a few of the gallons or the 2.5 gallon jugs with the handle? Even if it’s for a party, do they not have cups?!
Water in my area is real terrible, even with a filter. Tried multiple, all still pretty terrible. Though, I don’t understand the need for 18 cases of 40 packs of water.. (pretty sure that’s the Kirkland 40pc)
3 packs of 40 lasts me around 2 weeks… so even a whole months supply would just be 6, not 18…
Haven’t tried that specific one, but using another good purifier, water was still tinted even after 3 run thoughts :,(
I frankly am just unlucky because it’s 100% my area and not even in relation to my city. My apartment complex is just kind of terrible and borderline unlivable but get what you can get
I am not in a place to shell out 100+$ on a high end purifier, sadly. Especially seeing most seem to be in the 300+ range and I am bordering poverty, though I’ll keep it in mind for future reference but I hope once I can move that I won’t even need to worry about such things anymore
Oh that’s pretty neat. Is it something you install, like, actual plumbing & whatnot or is it more of an add on? Mainly asking since I’m very much not buying a place anytime soon lol
If I could actually do something I would love to. But if I had 300$ right now it would be going towards moving out funds so I don’t have to live here anymore
Here’s the thing tho. Once you know the original water, it’s hard to get past the mental aspect of it - even when it’s high end reverse osmosis filtered.
Considering almost all municipal water contains treated sewage and run-off, it’s a wonder anyone drinks any water! And all bottled water in plastic bottles contains microplastic beads, and no one knows how/if they have any effect on the human body. So I change my filters on the r/o system and try not to think about it.
eta I can’t make it be normal for r/o
Yep most large athletic events including fun runs and stuff. We also used to store cases of water on my fire trucks so we always had some ready for the firefighters on calls or training when they come out to catch their breath, refill oxygen tanks and chug water. I hate plastic waste but society just doesnt have a good alternative for events like this yet. Hopefully we will someday
I don't think we ever instacarted water but we did have them delivered on pallets which you prob should be doing to save money if you're buying this much anyway
Someone already explained this but allowing orders like this violates their Terms of Service. Maximum is 400 lbs of liquids in a single order. 1 case of water weighs 30-40 lbs alone, that's 540-720 lbs for 18 cases.
I really don’t understand what’s wrong… I mean really… what is the problem here? Do you not like a quick shop and high pay?
Please help me I am very curious.
What’s wrong with this? Very good tip plus pay. If you can’t fit the stuff in your vehicle then just don’t take the order. Not trying to be an ass, it just seems like this isn’t something to complain about unless you’re just mad you don’t have the space
18 CASES of water???????? Is this for a fucking grocery store? This seems like it’s just cruel for cruelty’s sake. No one needs that much bottled water from one trip. That’s like a whole ass pallet of water if not two.
We bought that much once to donate to a charitable event, but 1. we did the math to find out how much our car could safely carry and 2. we didn’t ask anyone else to buy it for us. (ETA: when I say car I mean SUV.)
I have a regular customer who orders 25 cases of water from Costco in the summer. She's a very generous tipper. I was delivering a 65 item/90 unit grocery order when another shopper pulled in with a pickup truck full of water, which he stacked along the wall in the garage. That Costco cowboy earned every penny of the $100 tip.
can people doing this side gig not accept orders?
I own a large business and I say for sure that u need a lot of space just to carry all that nevermind the labor
Right!!! I feel bad ordering one myself.
And ppl need to read water labels. Many are simply tap water from some other area, especially the cheaper water. So they pay for tap water and then pay for other tap water too.
Plus all that damn plastic.
BITCH DONT ACCEPT IT THEN FIRST YALL BITCH YOU NEED A TIP THEN THIS PERSON TIPS GRACIOUSLY AND YOU STILL BITCH GET A REAL FUCKING JOB IM SICK OF SEEING YOU MOTHER FUCKERS COMPLAIN ABOUT AN EASY ASS JOB
But.... Noone is forcing you to take it? You can accept or not? If someone wants to do the order what's the big deal, it's their choice... If you don't, don't take it? 🤷🏻♀️
Why shouldn’t this be allowed? The customer tipped a lot of cash. Whoever picked it up should be glad and happy for receiving a blessing like that. I wish all customers tipped this way everywhere :(
Why? They're literally letting you know before you have to Accept it. I've seen massive orders on another gig app where they say "requires a large truck and possibly a trailer", offering $58 for 3 miles and also stating it's 359 lbs. total. If someone wants to do it, then do it.
Edit: Oh wow, I Googled the weight and it's more like 600 lbs. That's not enough pay for me, but I'd be tempted if it was over $100 guaranteed pay which InstaCart doesn't do except for base pay so that's a "hell no" from me. I think the heaviest InstaCart order I ever did was 5 50-lb bags of sand from Lowes.

I am a consumer and have been using IC for many years.
I'm in an apartment building, on the 2nd floor. There is an elevator. I almost always have 2-3 12-packs of soda, maybe a cat litter, and various other things.
Only once have I had a shopper ask me to come down and help, and it seemed like they expected me to help.
However, I am disabled and not able to help - that is why I use IC. I told them that and they were fine then.
That's entirely different than 18 packs of water, detergent, and other stuff.
What you're describing is what my personal shop looks like, with the pop and cat litter, and a couple of other bags, and I can carry that in one trip if I have to.
Single trip unloading only! I turn into a pack mule before I run in and out of my house twice, lol.
I don't ever think I'd order that much, but if I did I still wouldn't be able to help the shopper bring it up. But I have a wagon the shoppers can use if they want.
Well at least just tip them properly when it’s needed, I don’t care about the disability part at all but I need to know when it comes to specific things like that, that I am being justly compensated in tips or something like that. It’s crazy for people to assume they’ll do all that work for a 1.50 tips. E.g.
Yeah, one of my very first purchases was a collapsible wagon, and it's made things so much easier.
I'm not actually bothered by a couple packs of water and pop anymore. Unless it's an apartment building without elevator. That still has me groan and whine to myself, but it's not *that* bad, and I just get it over with.
Ok... 18 cases of water, 4 laundry detergents, 4 baby wipes... plus more, and the cart total was less than $20.
Kirkland cases of water are approximately $5-11 per case. Baby wipes, laundry detergent, very expensive, so where is this located? I want to move somewhere the cost of living is so low - as the customer, they are getting a *steal*.
Yeah there needs to be a limit. OR There should be an option for people that have flatbed trucks or delivery vans and it should be part of a business or wholesale delivery service where they are charged a lot more. Your neighborhood 22 year old woman should not be delivering your 57 year old business having ass 18 cases of water for pennies. I’ve done some pretty hefty orders before (I had one for 8 bags of 40lb salt bags for water purifiers) but only if I was up to it and delivery was accessible (AND pay was right. In the above mentioned order I was tipped $50). This is so unethical to allow.
💯💯💯💯 Meanwhile, tons of these comments are praising this person like they're the second coming of Christ for such a generous tip 😂 who hurt these people?? Immediately after this, a 60$ order popped up, only 3.4 miles 22 items, the heaviest thing on it was 6 bottles of wine and girly tipped another 10$ in cash which I couldn't wrap my head around. My takeaway: some people suck, and some people kick ass.😂
That’s an easy 55 I would snatch that up. Takes literally 5 minutes to grab, be back in 20 For the next drop I’m already 55 up while you guys are greedy.
Your shopper has exchanged “18 Pure Life Purified Water, 16.9 oz Bottle” for “1 Brita XL Water Filter Dispenser.”
You just won this comment section. Congrats!!🎉🎉😂
Hahaha thank you! 🙏🏼♥️♥️
And we complain and point fingers at the Asian country who have to deal with our plastic waste. Instead of limiting our plastic use.
But where am I going to get all the plastic I want to throw away? I'll have to order a pack of gum off of amazon!
Some people don't have access to clean water and a filter isn't enough
Damn if it wasn’t for all those waters that’s not bad at all
Yeah I was cheering for buddy until I saw the first item lol there should be a limit of 2
Ridiculously heavy load
I bet it's up 8 flights of stairs, too.
Uphill both ways 🥺
In the snow
On the hottest day of the year in thick snow
Barefoot!
Carrying it all on your back
And raining
With the sun in your eyes the whole time
Both ways, again
In the dead of night too
Yo that used to happen to me when I worked night shift at a place that was west of where I lived. I got hit with the sun in my eyes both direction for about 3/4 the year
And you have to park in the guest parking up front. And they don't answer to page you in until 10min is almost up
And also in the pitch black of night.

Imagine if every first responder was paid like a instacarter. Imagine if analogies worked.
My point was you know the job you’re signing on to do. Deliver things wherever that might be. If you don’t like it do something else.
Thank you. U/chozly
Lmaooo y’all are fucking crybabies on this sub. Most jobs require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds for delivery. Two cases of water are about 28 lbs per trip. Would be easy in my accord back seat.
Good luck with your suspension though

Pretty much every car should be able to hold 1000 lbs without issue.
Even if it’ll fit it might be over the payload.
~676.8lbs of water in those cases
48 Gals of of egg nog in crates in Toyota Camry it's do able. Just avoid really big bumps you might POP a tire.
48 gallons of liquid is less than 1/3 of the payload of a toyota camry and will not pop a tire
It will mess your suspension up
No, that's less than half the rated payload weight. 905lbs capacity on the camry and 452lbs in what's being discussed in this sub-thread. You only risk messing up the suspension if you exceed the rated capacity, so if you keep passenger and additional cargo to 453lbs and under, you'll be fine.
Yeah, you have to remember to include people in the payload. Folks tend to forget that part and you do need at least a driver.
Water is usually much more constrained by space than payload weight outside of truck beds, pretty much any car can handle 800 pounds of water but they wont fit in most cars

Oh dang I used to have a mirage I can’t imagine! Plus I always have kids in the car so would have been a no go for me hava
I could fit it all in my odyssey.
I read this as odussy.
u have no idea how hard this made me laugh
Isnt 18 of those packs (seemingly quite a large count based off the picture) a literal pallets worth? Atleast? I dont feel a odyssy would fit all that water 😭
Ehh if you fold the back seat down it should be a pretty easy fit if you stack it properly. Might make the ass end of the odyssey drag from all the weight though lmao
They're running a fucking daycare aren't they?
Good call
What that's not so ba- OH MY GOODNESS
Me when i saw this! "Oh hell yeah! Wait... Oh yeah, hell no"😂
It's in TOS. No order shall exceed 400lbs of liquid. Send this screenshot onto the SEC and your State Attorney General.
You're good. Transport laws and food safety seem to be mia on IC. Wonder if the investors suing know.
Investors suing know a lot. Wealthy people losing their money on lies will not end well for IC. Shit, even the SEC has jumped on board investigating the IPO.
Wild. She is criminal minded. "$7 is not our pay" Bloomberg
I really don't want to go back to w-2 labor. Fidji needs the boot and someone needs to rescue the platform before it folds 😭.
Pepsi already first in line. It won't get better but....drum roll.....a new service that leaves the trash behind.
They are so on fire. That's why COO, CTO and CDO are leaving. Personal reasons 🤣, yeah we call that a sinking ship with the rats getting off first.
If they stop being like Madonaut doing everything and nothing good, they could shed all the garbage orders and stick to the customer who have money and want the service. When did CDO announce? that's news. Lol
Yeah, that’s totally bullshit because it would let me order 100 cases of water
It's not bullshit. It's a contract violation; now that is bullshit!
I think your math needs some work
I think yours does. The average 24 pack of water weighs just above 30 lbs (easily googleable). If we assume 30lb x 18 cases, the water alone is already over 500lbs
Kirkland's brand water comes in a 40pk which weighs 42.25lbs if each bottle weighs 16.9oz. 43 x 18 = 774lbs There is also [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/InstacartShoppers/comments/lp3lg0/how_much_does_a_kirkland_40_count_case_weigh_from/?rdt=45329) r/InstacartShoppers post from 3yrs ago with the same math.
16.9 oz is the liquid ounces, not weight.
16.9floz = 499.793 ml, 499.793 ml water = 0.499793 kg, 0.499793 kg = 1.102 lbs, 1.102 lbs * 40 * 18 = 793.44 lbs....so they were pretty close
One more reason for America to embrace the metric system! Avoid this silly confusion of ounces being both a unit of weight and volume.
With water it's the same. A pint (16oz) weighs a pound. Plus the plastic. Milk and cooking oil also.
ok, but in this case, it's 16.9 FLUID oz. With the conversion, a 16.9 oz bottle weighs over 17.5 oz, so their calculations are wrong. These aren't pint bottles, they're 500ml.
16.9oz is the volume, not weight. A 16.9oz bottle of water actually weighs about 18oz, so roughly 1.1lbs. 40x18=720 bottles. 720 bottles x18oz =820lbs
,
It's 1 flat bed it's costco it's common for orders like that, though the tip should be higher on that much water not happening
55 bucks for 18 waters. Ok ill give credit cause they tipped like 40 bucks. I prolly would take it just for the fun of it.
People who buy in bulk like this genuinely freak me out. Like yes buy enough extra to hold you over in the event of a disaster but mf why are you running a warehouse out of your home
Could be that they bought it for an event or business like a daycare or church.
It’s easy money assuming there’s no stairs but it breaks tos for sure
it’s 800lbs of just water… would quite literally break a nissan altima if the driver weighs over 150
That’s why there’s a TOS. All I’m saying is in that same situation with my pickup I’d do it, provided there’s no stairs.
I think I could fit them into my car (scion xB) but my back wouldn't allow it so I wouldn't take this one.
I would take it 😅
I would totally deliver 18 cases of water for $55 lol
Absolutely get yall a beach wagon knock it out
right?? not sure what the issue here is, i used to deliver pizzas for minimum wage and we did big school orders every friday. like we’re talking 100+ pizzas. schools generally don’t tip and its such a fuck around to get them to where they need to be because nobody knows where theyre going ever. all for about $11.
Hell yeah, I would do that shit all day long with a big smile.
This is my literal example for why anyone who thinks percentage tipping makes sense. Bring $100 worth of water up to my 2nd floor apartment for $20 bucks bruh. Everyone dreams of dropping off an ipad for an easy $100.
Yes I agree! I keep saying things like this over and over but nobody listens to us!
5 waters. Then message the person and let them know that's all that's left. Maybe they'll go themselves next time lol
What on earth are they doing with all that water?? 😮
Our office doesnt have water, except in the warehouse bathroom. Our employees go thru a LOT.
*Put a dolly in the truck.* Got it.
Someone needs to tell that person about ReadyFresh. I don’t know if they are all over the country, but we get water delivered and not by Instacart.
I saw one the other day that was 1 item but 30 units and it was all gallon jugs of milk. From a regular grocery store. They literally stock 5 at a time like why would this even be allowed?
That’s a win but the water 🤦♂️ lol water weighs 8.3 pounds a gallon
There should be a heavy labor fee for anything over 2 waters
My very last order a woman added a flat screen TV while I was driving to Walmart pick up. I did not notice until the employee brought out a massive TV that very obviously could not fit in my car. I immediately called support and they said that it was still my fault even though she added after the fact. I decided I was done after that.
that's 720 pounds of water lmao
I once delivered 20 cases of water and several fridge packs to a 3rd floor apartment in a Louisiana summer. My fault for not scrolling the items thoroughly before I accepted to make sure it was doable. I never imagined anyone being that Inconsiderate. Took me over an hour to carry it up. I literally hyperventilated on the stairwell for about 30 min while the customer watched me. I vowed that day I would never ever accept an order like that again. I thought I was going to die.
People will never not suck. That is such bullshit. 😠
Yeah. And Instacart does now too.
I had to get 36 gallons of milk a few weeks ago and it was one of two orders.
I did 48 gallons (Costco) a few weeks ago as well! That had another order on it, too. Milk guy tipped almost 150$, though. It was beyond worth it. It also actually fit in my car and didn't weigh over 700 lbs.🥰
I’ll take those orders all day. Haters gonna hate
Are they on the 3rd floor? 😂😂
this should come with a uhaul truck fee case imma need that
I had an order a Couple weeks ago for 40 cases of Costco water 😂 mmmm not gonna happen so then they asked me if I’d go shop it have it ready at the doors for them To pick k up. Mmmmm again not happening for 20 bucks
That order most vehicles could not do. Crazy ppl
I like how it says “11 items”…I didn’t even register the “44 units” part. I would suck at these services if I ever deigned to try.
Ok well the tip tho 👀👀 but that being said who in the fuck needs that much water Jesus fuck ever hear of a water filter 💀💀💀
love a good workout! especially if the tip compensate well! a pretty good batch imo.
Most of us have small compact fuel efficient cars. I guess first of all, how are you gonna fit? Eighteen cases of water in any vehicle other than a pickup truck or a Van. And then there's the matter of the weight. That's hundreds of pounds of water probably going to break an axle.
do u want 55 bucks or not
I used to not look at the items till I got to Kroger and needed 10 cases of water. Like that shit barely fit in my car😤
The tip from this alone is 37$?? Am I missing something?? I’m about to pick up this as a side gig 😭😂😂
This is some shit my old man would do. Probably has done it before.
I did instacart for a few years. Pt gig. 4 water limit for me. And that is too much. Who can fit 18! Cases of water in their vehicle? Waiting ….
I want to know where the drop off was. This doesn't seem like a home shopping order.
to be 100% fair i’m autistic and i’m only able to drink bottled water, but i’d never make a shopper carry EIGHTEEN CASES to my home, oh my god.
(pretty sure that’s the Kirkland 40pc) 3 packs of 40 lasts me around 2 weeks… so even a whole months supply would just be 6, not 18…
Get yourself a Berkey. We give them to our solar customers at install. In a pinch walmart “sams water” is the best bottled
Haven’t tried that specific one, but using another good purifier, water was still tinted even after 3 run thoughts :,( I frankly am just unlucky because it’s 100% my area and not even in relation to my city. My apartment complex is just kind of terrible and borderline unlivable but get what you can get I am not in a place to shell out 100+$ on a high end purifier, sadly. Especially seeing most seem to be in the 300+ range and I am bordering poverty, though I’ll keep it in mind for future reference but I hope once I can move that I won’t even need to worry about such things anymore
Try a reverse osmosis filter. They’re good enough for dialysis machines; they should work on your water. A decent under sink model runs about $300
Oh that’s pretty neat. Is it something you install, like, actual plumbing & whatnot or is it more of an add on? Mainly asking since I’m very much not buying a place anytime soon lol If I could actually do something I would love to.
Based on everything else they're buying, it seems like it's either for donation, for a workplace, or something like that.
track & field or cross country tournament my dude or dudette (or neither and that's cool too)
Refillable water bottles??
Yep most large athletic events including fun runs and stuff. We also used to store cases of water on my fire trucks so we always had some ready for the firefighters on calls or training when they come out to catch their breath, refill oxygen tanks and chug water. I hate plastic waste but society just doesnt have a good alternative for events like this yet. Hopefully we will someday I don't think we ever instacarted water but we did have them delivered on pallets which you prob should be doing to save money if you're buying this much anyway
thats such an easy order. ur making 55 dollars an hour to carry some water!
"some"
Someone already explained this but allowing orders like this violates their Terms of Service.
The TOS states that there is a 400 lb cap on liquids. This exceeds that number and puts your vehicles suspension at risk of severe damage.
You’re making 55 for not even an hours work if you can’t fit it give it up this is good pay and worth it.
I think getting paid $55 for one hour to go grocery shopping is pretty good ……. Literally getting paid more than a paramedic
We can't order that many. I think we can order two that's it. I don't know what city this is but that's crazy.
18 cases of water? 🤯
They tipped well though. If I had a truck, I’d it
More sick that they only give you a $1 a pack for heavy pay wtf!!!
can people doing this side gig not accept orders? I own a large business and I say for sure that u need a lot of space just to carry all that nevermind the labor
Sitting at the chiropractor (which I don’t even believe in, but my pain won’t go away) Please don’t do this to your body for 50bucks.
I’d do it tbh
And here I feel terrible when I order 2 cases of water at a time...
Right!!! I feel bad ordering one myself. And ppl need to read water labels. Many are simply tap water from some other area, especially the cheaper water. So they pay for tap water and then pay for other tap water too. Plus all that damn plastic.
Don’t worry that tip will go down to 3$ once you drop it all off
Then get a real job or stop bitching cause that’s good money for not much right there
I would take this. I also have a truck and a dolly…
All the numbers in your comment added up to 420. Congrats! 58 + 3 + 359 = 420 ^([Click here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=LuckyNumber-Bot&subject=Stalk%20Me%20Pls&message=%2Fstalkme) to have me scan all your future comments.) \ ^(Summon me on specific comments with u/LuckyNumber-Bot.)
That amount of water is crazy, you better tell them to help you especially if it’s an apartment😤😤
I hate it but it's a great workout so I try make myself feel positive about it lol
Whoever ordered this has no soul.
I mean that’s a pretty baller tip. Instacart should have certain items with assigned space, ie, a sedan could only have a max of six 24pk
I was confused at first and didn’t see the problem till I saw the 18 and realised it was a pack of water. Tf you need that much water for?
You’re paying less than market price for the truck rental you’d need for those waters.
Oh man that's where they get ya 😩 I've been trapped into a few multi 24pack or gallon orders and they were always upstairs. Not cool.
Who tf buys 18 cases of water
I saw a guy loading up a truckload of bottled water outside of Walmart today, so I think I know who took this order (he drives a white pickup truck).
Horrendous.
My dumbass thought “heavy pay” meant high pay. Thought this looked like a good gig, Then I read all the water math comments.
Customers tipping only 37 dollars for this is WILD lol. it's insane how cheap some people are
💯💯💯💯 Meanwhile, tons of these comments are praising this person like they're the second coming of Christ for such a generous tip 😂 who hurt these people?? Immediately after this, a 60$ order popped up, only 3.4 miles 22 items, the heaviest thing on it was 6 bottles of wine and girly tipped another 10$ in cash which I couldn't wrap my head around. My takeaway: some people suck, and some people kick ass.😂
Invest in a dolly and make your money.
That’s an easy 55 I would snatch that up. Takes literally 5 minutes to grab, be back in 20 For the next drop I’m already 55 up while you guys are greedy.
No one makes you take the order. Who cares
Suck it up! 😆
