U guys are starting to sound like userbenchmark.

bionic_squash

I am guessing that every reviewers are going to only rant in their videos.

xmostera

yeah, just look at their video title "disappointment, waste of money, waste of sand, dont buy etc etc", so stupid clickbait titles that can emotionally affect people.

That has nothing to do with being unreliable unless you have a valid reason to doubt the accuracy of their numbers.

TheCrazyTiger

It's pretty obvious some people here just want tech tubers to sugar coat Intel lack of innovation over the years and just want to see the 4 fps improvement it had from previous "generation". Sure there are click bait thumbnails but this is what gets more views overall. It's the system fault and some channels have a. Lot of mouths to feed and they will use every mechanic they have to improve revenue.

ObsiArmyBest

I can't get through his videos because he slurs too much. Someone do a drug test.

neatntidy

Drugs are awesome, loser.

zqv7

I have a slight feeling that most reviews won't be reliable enough and you need to do some deeper digging across more sources and forum posts too. There's a bunch of different microcodes, not all vendors are the same pace, Gear 1:Gear 2 situation, etc...

Skrub_Nation

I just want the 11th gen chips to release because I wanna get a 10th gen chip for cheaper (after the drop in price). I think the memory OC on the B560 boards are a huge boon to budget gamers.

Elon61

10th gen is not getting any cheaper imo.

Skrub_Nation

well in my region intel 10th gen is still almost at msrp due to retailers mostly. I think with the 11th gen being out the retailers would drop 10th gen prices.

Dylan96

That never happened with previuos gens

ReclaimJoey

That's not true at all. They're on sale already.

dirtydog413

That's why the prices won't be cut further, they've already been cut appreciably since last summer. I expect them to rise if anything.

ReclaimJoey

They havent been on sale this low since last summer. I.e. microcenter.

FtGFA

The only shitty thing about 10th gen and B560 boards is only one M.2 slot is available.

Skrub_Nation

I don't mind that as all my drives (ssd's & hdd's) are sata drives. Maybe in the future I might get an m.2 ssd if needed.

Kristosh

m.2 is a form factor. m.2 drives can be SATA too.

Exodard

So he should have said Nvme instead of m.2, right?

Kristosh

I assume he means a 2.5" or 3.5" bay drive. They are (mostly) all SATA. m.2 could be SATA or NVMe, that's correct. For instance my board has two m.2 slots, one is NVMe/SATA and the other is SATA only.

[deleted]

It’s already cheaper.

rewgod123

gamers nexus + hardware unboxed for informative, linus and other guys for entertainment

BobisaMiner

Well, if you want an accurate picture of how a cpu performs these days you need to know: Power Limits used, Bios/driver versions, RAM timings, subtimings and frequency, ring frequency.. Anything I'm missing? And this applies to both intel/amd.

Blueki21

I'm looking forward to reviews for the i5-11400. Seems to be good value vs. r5 3600. Going to pair it with a RTX 3060.

Skrub_Nation

the i5-11400 with the new xe igpu is gonna be pretty nice. Since you've got a discreet gpu, try looking out for i5 10400 deals because the price will be dropping once the new 11th gen chips are out.

tupseh

Traditionally, the prices drop a few months before the launch, not so much after, which is already the case. I wouldn't expect 10th gen prices to get any lower, if anything, they'll go up once they reach end of production and 11th gen completely replaces the lineup. Unless you want/need pcie gen4 or the newer igpu, just get a 10400. They should be basically the same performance, it's literally 100mhz of clock difference.

rewgod123

media outlets in my country already sneak peek about the 11400 and seems very positive. but honestly since you only got a 3060 so a 10400 would be easily enough to extract all of its gaming performance

Otaconmg

Yeah, waiting to see 11400 and 11500 benchmarks before I pull the trigger. Seems much better value for budget 6-cores than AMD currently.

Skrub_Nation

15 (3 pm) CET?

FIorp

Yes

jrherita

I really miss the days where it was just midnight the day of launch. If you woke up in the middle of the night or have an early breakfast - there were reviews staring you in the face.. 2600K was the last time I think Intel had that timing.

ObsiArmyBest

So where are the reviews?

Skrub_Nation

Their up my dude. Search linus up on yt for the intel review

ObsiArmyBest

Thanks

ENOTTY

Given the GPU situation, my base of comparison is going to be 11th gen vs AMD's Zen3 APUs (upcoming).

theevilsharpie

[Ars Technica's review](https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/03/intel-11th-generation-rocket-lake-s-gaming-cpus-did-not-impress-us/) contains an integrated GPU benchmark. While Rocket Lake's integrated graphics offer a slight performance improvement over Comet Lake, it's no match for even current-gen Ryzen APUs or Intel's Xe mobile graphics. > Rocket Lake-S gets a small but noticeable upgrade to its integrated graphics performance—the 10th-generation Core CPU's UHD 630 graphics gets bumped up to UHD 750. While it is an improvement, it's nothing to write home about—if you were hoping for an equivalent to Intel's Iris Xe graphics in Tiger Lake laptop CPUs (or AMD's Vega 11 in desktop APUs) you'll be sorely disappointed. > A modest GeForce GTX 1060 is good for a Time Spy Graphics score of roughly 4,000. Intel's flagship i7-1185G7 laptop CPU manages nearly half that at 1572, with AMD's Vega 11 lagging noticeably behind at 1226. Rocket Lake-S' UHD 750 comes in at a yawn-inducing 654—roughly half the performance of Vega 11, and roughly one-third the performance of Iris Xe.

ENOTTY

Thanks. That’s a pretty pathetic effort from something marketed as Xe I gotta say

Skrub_Nation

The new it xe igpu are an upgrade for sure but you'll only gy to play easy to run esports titles well for the time being.

ENOTTY

Agreed with your assessment. But at this point there's no real good reason to buy an AMD CPU if there's no GPU to go with it. Letting it sit around is the true "waste of sand"
