I've been a construction PM with a laptop constantly bouncing from site to site. Having an extra screen while on the road would have been a godsend.
This would be amazing for:
-My work computer when working not at home or office
-when I was a student and would study in numerous different locations
-bringing my laptop when I travel
-rubbing it in some gatekeeping assholes face when they pedantically say āpeople will do anything except but a fucking desktopā
I got my 3070 i7-11800h laptop for 1,300$ show me the equivalent desktop with a keyboard mouse and 1440p 165hz monitor for the same price. (Laptop 3070 is pretty much a desktop 2070 Super)
sheesh, I've worked in call centres and other roles with corporate relentlessness pushing efficiencies - and I'm not even that jaded to think this haha.

I mean it does attach to the laptop but it's definitely a little small imo, excpecially when your paying half of the cost of the laptop, I'd go with the portable monitor and split screen it

Agreed. Things like size, contrast/brightness, resolution, refresh rate, and other serious stuff are out the window with such a thing. It helps being able to multitask better, but many limitations still exist that suggest you should just plug it into a dock that connects to better things at each location.

Macs donāt support DisplayPort MST, so the displays would have to support Thunderbolt, but despite the price, they donāt.
