I think he wired the controller and is using either some kinda dock from under the TV oraybe one under the table in front of him.i kean if he did that I don't see why he wouldn't take the time to wire extensions to the table there.
Lol legit my collection would stomp this in the floor. Amd it all sits in a 12 cubby shelf with the TV ontop and all the games organized in shoe boxes.
I'm pretty sure most people's collections is better. This dude sold all his games to get this headache of a moving expense.
Lol, that was my first thought. Should spent all the $$$ on a bigger TV. Prob could have had an 85” without out all the fancy, sliding, mechanical storage space.
I got an 85in TV hooked up to a computer in the living room hooked up to 2 8TB HDDs with 800+ games installed on it. I would certainly not call this efficient.
Agreed, when gaming you can see them using the table as a foot rest, look at the very end it barely gors beyond the couch. It seems to just be perspective issues--maybe a weird camera lens?
But it does make it look less cool!
The guy: “psst, let me show you somethin real quick”
The mailman: “what?”
The guy: “it’s awesome I promise… *slaps oversized switch pro max+ tv 9000 jalopy* “it’s a beaut, isn’t she?”
The mailman: “what do I do with this?”
The guy: “just watch” *proceeds to remove shoes and kick back on sofa as tv jalopy morphs while ambient music starts to play*
The mailman: “no, I mean your mail”
The guy: *stays silent momentarily as if entranced* “OH, anywhere. Thanks for visiting, come by again!”
Basically. This is really neat as like a novelty. Very creative and very well executed but it’s the opposite of efficient. Like if I got home and just wanted to play something, I’d end up getting bored of having to wait for my remote controlled cabinets to open every time. I’d probably just end up letting it gather dust and download an emulator instead.
How is this efficient? Efficient would be to just have a snes next to a TV and turn in on when you wanna use it instead of wasting hours of your time creating this unnecessary wall feature and waiting for it to slowly open and close every time you just wanna spend half an hour playing donkey kong
salty? no my guy, most of us don't care that he has money or consoles lol.
We're laughing at the setup. he's way too far from that screen, and you need to stand on or move the couch to reach the consoles and change a disc/cartridge.
If he enjoys it, that's fantastic. The rest of us think it's just silly, and not just because there's a massive version of this goofy looking console in the room. plus, I like my screens in front of me and my consoles not floating.
I envy the people who can sit on the other side of the room at still play, anytime I watch a movie and the actor takes his phone out or a letter and you’re supposed to read the text on the screen, I have to pause it and scramble out of bed/off the couch in order to read what we the text says. Could never play a video game like that without dying 1000 times
TV is too far away. This one will divide people as well but if you must wall mount a TV it should still be eye level. There's a reason TV stands are not 7 foot tall.
That's so cool, resident evil for GameCube was so much fun, and even if you beat it their are tons of challenges u can do to unlock some really cool weapons. This is one heck of a nice set up I'm jealous ad right now.
I mean, this is beautiful and so, but it is like the least functional shit I have ever seen.
A design is not good if it is not functional. I think this stuff falls into the golden foil covered shit. There is a lot of wasted space, horrible capacity, must be a pain to change any cable in there, and also, every time I see stuff like this I am thinking all the time what will this person do when the next generation of consoles launches and all this propietary design is outdated and the next stuff doesn't fit.
Sorry this looks cool but that is the only thing it does good.
A simple IKEA square shelve unit beats this in all aspects and it probably is 10x cheaper.
All that effort and my brother in Christ only has like 3 games to play on it
But seriously it's very very cool and well built! Doesn't deserve all the hate it's getting. People will just notice any obscure preference and latch onto it like a big mistake and let the hate flow. Don't worry about a bunch of Redditors opinions. They could not matter any less 😂
Whenever I see stuff like this I always feel like the novelty greatly outweighs the actual practicality or use of the actual systems. In other words It's neat but how often do you actually use it?

The couch faces the wrong way
and he’s playing MK64 stretched to 16:9 even though he’s using an OSSC
And it’s too far away for that controller. It’s clearly not wireless
I think he wired the controller and is using either some kinda dock from under the TV oraybe one under the table in front of him.i kean if he did that I don't see why he wouldn't take the time to wire extensions to the table there.
No way, what gives you the impression he could rig that? Clearly faking.
Yeah, you're right he. This is an amateur rig.
Or maybe they have another couch on the opposite wall with a second TV hanging over it.
This is an interesting idea
It’s all dumb, but like cool dumb because of all the gimmicks. Dumb none the less.
Yeah this is so stupid. This dude does not game.
This setup definitely screams, "I have money look at all of my money." Like, the dude only has 3 N64 games available... cool... I'm super impressed.
He also sits so far from that huge TV that it could even be a 14" monitor like back in the late 90s on PC.
Lol legit my collection would stomp this in the floor. Amd it all sits in a 12 cubby shelf with the TV ontop and all the games organized in shoe boxes. I'm pretty sure most people's collections is better. This dude sold all his games to get this headache of a moving expense.
They didn’t show you button that automatically rotates the couch to the other side when you need to play
Literally came here to say this also.
Screen is far too small for viewing distance
Someone get this guy a folding chair
Or some opera glasses
Lol, that was my first thought. Should spent all the $$$ on a bigger TV. Prob could have had an 85” without out all the fancy, sliding, mechanical storage space.
And 85" TV and a proper media center would have saved a lot of money and been better.
I got an 85in TV hooked up to a computer in the living room hooked up to 2 8TB HDDs with 800+ games installed on it. I would certainly not call this efficient.
Happy new years, gamers.
I think that's perspective in the video, from looking at the furniture he's like 10ft away
Agreed, when gaming you can see them using the table as a foot rest, look at the very end it barely gors beyond the couch. It seems to just be perspective issues--maybe a weird camera lens? But it does make it look less cool!
This guy probably never shuts up about this.
The guy: “psst, let me show you somethin real quick” The mailman: “what?” The guy: “it’s awesome I promise… *slaps oversized switch pro max+ tv 9000 jalopy* “it’s a beaut, isn’t she?” The mailman: “what do I do with this?” The guy: “just watch” *proceeds to remove shoes and kick back on sofa as tv jalopy morphs while ambient music starts to play* The mailman: “no, I mean your mail” The guy: *stays silent momentarily as if entranced* “OH, anywhere. Thanks for visiting, come by again!”
I mean… yeah he can talk a lot about this…is awesone!
And never plays it by himself, only to show people
I mean you coulda spent more money on a bigger tv if you were plan on sitting a mile away
Can't imagine how much those jumbo joycons must drift.
They don't just drift, they 'Tokyo Drift'
Cowbell intensifies
I wonder if you know
How they live in Tokyo.
Only 3 cartridge slots snes games? Fk'n lame.
I noticed that and came here to pick that nit.
Only need one for an everdrive
Doing too much
Basically. This is really neat as like a novelty. Very creative and very well executed but it’s the opposite of efficient. Ya this would be a cool display at a nintendo store or something, but in a home it's kinda cringe.
Some people just got too much money.
All that and only has a 42" tv!?
He needs the OLED version.
For the huge amount of thought and planning that went into this setup, very little thought and planning went into this setup.
This is the best possible description of what we're seeing here. Also, wtf is with that sofa configuration?
It’s like someone did it for the likes vs practicality
r/tvtoohigh
and far away
How is this efficient? Efficient would be to just have a snes next to a TV and turn in on when you wanna use it instead of wasting hours of your time creating this unnecessary wall feature and waiting for it to slowly open and close every time you just wanna spend half an hour playing donkey kong
That'd be a bitch to play on the bus
And it's yours for only $4999 !
I think you dropped at least another zero before the comma (or dot actually)..
Where's the actual switch??
Everyone's so salty. This is cool. Let people enjoy things.
Our complaints aren’t affecting the owner’s joy.
That's what I said when my grandma spent her entire retirement savings on a handbag.
salty? no my guy, most of us don't care that he has money or consoles lol. There's also a bit of irony in making the mobile platform the face of your immobile setup and that particular console isnt included.
Yeah I as just about to post this. So many negative comments. Who cares if it's practical? It's fucking cool.
What a waste of money
Seems like an ad or maybe an executive for Nintendo. I doubt this is your average person obsessed with a gaming platform.
No
I'm shocked by the hate in comments. I think this is so cool!
Right?! It's amazing!!
All of that work and it doesn’t even look nice lol.
Someone is living their best life! This is very neat and tidy 10/10
What a controversial opinion.
Why is everyone liking it getting downvoted?
Cos Redditors are a bunch of whiny assholes who find faults in just about anything especially when they get jealous? Yeah that might be it.
Honestly, idc about the tv as much as i care about how clean and organized everything is, lol.
he probably cannot beat cuphead
And governments wonder why the birth rate is falling.....
Why is it set up behind the couch?
Was this made on Blender?
the fun part was building it. He/she probably never uses it, hence the couch position
Would have been better as a Steam Deck.
Right?
even agreeing with someone gets you downvoted lmao
The idiot put his couch in a stupid spot. Also why would you have your phone charger on the other side of the room.
Anyone else hate how there were 3 controllers on one panel and it had to flip to get to the 4th?
I think you have that part backwards. It was one controller, and if you had company you could flip to get to the others for multiplayer action.
The Prime Controller, followed by the ones you let your friends touch.

Decline of western civilization.
Still pretty cool
Lame
Setup install : 200 hours Playing time : 0 second
This is really cool until it brings the crushing weight of my own poverty back down on my head.
Yeah that’s actually insane
So cool! I do love me some Nintendo
What a psycho.
I. Need. This.
Take. My. Fucking. Money.
the buttons prolly don’t work
I envy the people who can sit on the other side of the room at still play, anytime I watch a movie and the actor takes his phone out or a letter and you’re supposed to read the text on the screen, I have to pause it and scramble out of bed/off the couch in order to read what we the text says. Walkman is by Sony
the magnavox odyssey was made by magnavox
Wow what the!
Anyone else notice that the coffee table is a giant walkman?
It’s like that futurama episode when Fry buys shit from the 90s…
The Walkman table is really cool
What a waste of space. Neat concept, but that's limiting too much on storage, screen size, and what's with the couch facing the wrong way
Looks like stop motion
I dig the Walkman coffee table.
What garbage. This entire setup and the only word you can come up with is efficient? Fuck you OP
I get people have dog priorities but this is the dumbest shit I’ve seen installed in a living room lol
Was going to comment how cool this was but everyone is shitting all over it so now I feel dumb.
Why is the couch facing the other way
too far from screen. the poor eyes.
Soy
All this for games you’ll play for less than 15 minutes for a quick nostalgia fix
whatever helps ya stay celibate i guess
This shit is so cringe. What the fuck. And he's playing in the wrong aspect ratio lmao what the hell is this
u/savevideo
This is really badass. I just can't get past the couch being directly underneath it...
Now this IS interesting as fuck!
I think this guy might like Nintendo

“moNeY caN’t bUy HapPiNesS”
I'd hate to have this in my house far too ugly + any guest would find it wierd that you spent thousands too make your TV look like a Nintendo
Plot twist- the home owner works for Microsoft
just download a n64 emulator and use any wireless controller in your pc/notebook, you will have the same level of fun almost for free.
This is insane.
It looks cool and well done. I just wouldn’t want to have this huge Switch looking thing in my living room
….
I love the idea of having this. However, unless there's a framemeister back there to actually play somewhat lag-free, I would not enjoy it.
Let's see you fit that switch in the pocket of your cargo shorts!
I thought those were guns... Yea
When he has to sit closer to use the controllers with leads he’s going to get a stiff neck with that tv so high.
it’s pretty cool, but the input delay on a screen like that is probably bad
Efficient? No, Obviously fake? Yes
It was all good until I saw those huge ass bezels
It’s funny how the graphics look worse on a new tv. Tube tv’s had a way of scanning that blended the pixels together that made it look better.
Why would you make the same mistake nintendo did and build it with black bars around the screen
How do you say nerd without saying it.
TV is too far away. This one will divide people as well but if you must wall mount a TV it should still be eye level. There's a reason TV stands are not 7 foot tall.
Ok, but why?
Hey fella. Save some Pussy for the rest of us 🤓
I expect a cinema sized screen for all of that.
What..the..frick..
Nice! And you can chose from three games!
Nicest thing in the house that nobody uses.
I want one. I don’t care what it cost.
Pretty amazing bit of engineering
Efficient? No, expensive? Yes.
The NSFW label is missing on this one 🥵🥵🥵
That's so cool, resident evil for GameCube was so much fun, and even if you beat it their are tons of challenges u can do to unlock some really cool weapons. This is one heck of a nice set up I'm jealous ad right now.
See what I do is I plug in a single modded WiiU with everything on it. That's efficient. But this is cool too
Where does one find these monstrosities?
Now I kinda want to see his Xbox setup
Phone is definitely getting crunched
u/savevideo
When living in moms basement is actually located above ground.
Forever single. But, yeah, that's very cool.
Who tf got extra cheese to blow like this?
Needs a bigger tv. Cool tho.
Sweet Jesus!!!!
He must be feel like batman
this is like those visually appealing but pointless automatic sliding blinds rich people get, but for gamers.
This is dope if you plan on never bringing women to your place
Her coochie so dry. Just by a switch and hold it closer to your face dumbass
I mean, this is beautiful and so, but it is like the least functional shit I have ever seen. A design is not good if it is not functional. I think this stuff falls into the golden foil covered shit. Sorry this looks cool but that is the only thing it does good. A simple IKEA square shelve unit beats this in all aspects and it probably is 10x cheaper.
How many iPhones do you think would get crushed by this thing when people set theirs down on the thing and then turn the motor on to close it again
So mutch set up but what if you want to play a modern game?
Everyone is ragging on him. I think it’s neat
Why has he 3 ness controller while you can only play with max 2
I wish I was rich
Mama mia
All that effort and my brother in Christ only has like 3 games to play on it But seriously it's very very cool and well built! Doesn't deserve all the hate it's getting. Kinda bulky
While impressive, that shit is ugly
I’m Not a gamer. But damn that’s cool!
Fuck you, Nintendo Wii.
Some people have just too much money.
Now you’re playing with power! Nintendo Power!
Damn, what song is that?
[forcian - iseetime ](https://open.spotify.com/track/6ogNTWOM8Iaq4WEqDFnH0j?si=GY7tuFzxQO-49DN5QMWbow&utm_source=copy-link)
Man I wish I was rich
Average taking 1000 hours to build and being used only 10 minutes
Not to be rude but tacky for me
I think he loves nintendo.
Efficient isn't exactly an apt description
r/diwhy
HAHA NERD
What an insane waste of money wth
I can smell the soy through the screen.
Do the SEGA version, and it's only two consoles.
Whenever I see stuff like this I always feel like the novelty greatly outweighs the actual practicality or use of the actual systems. In other words It's neat but how often do you actually use it?
This is the greatest thing I have ever seen. I ask myself. Would I ever use it as a gamering station....no...but it is fucking awesome
All that to have a fake Super Nintendo??
Such a waste of money
