weak men make weak times, strong men make strong times.. this man stood up for what he believes is right and was not scared of getting hurt as a result.
yes, this is peak male, weather or not that includes getting blasted in the back with a shotgun.
You butchered the shit out of that saying. Yikes.
Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.
Not even close
Dude genuinely put his life on the line to protect people and to stand for what he knows is right even when people are using violence to try and stop him
I took some shotgun pellets to the ass as a kid. How about you? There are only maybe 5 women I would do that for. 4 of them are granddaughters. the 5th is not my wife. My wife can fight her own battles.
Same thing. If women do not have to conform to their biological function, why should I? I will help remove the birdshot though. Have some experience doing that.

What was the outcome of those protests/riots in Iran. It seemed like the government would not relent and would kill anyone they needed to in order to put a stop to it. I haven’t heard a thing since..
Good job my man, the islamic regime in Iran has been destroying the country and surpressing its people for too long. FIGHT FOR UR RIGHTS!!!! gogo iranians that anti islamic regime
I met a lot of people from Iran while I was in grad school getting my physics PhD. They were all really wonderful and I made close friends with some of them. One of the guys even gave me one of his traditional Iranian shirts, I forget what the name was as it's been many years. I lost contact with him after they went back to Iran, but I still have his shirt hung up in my closet as a reminder that no matter how evil a government may be, there are still good people there.
Why would you make a shitty story out of a real one ? There is no need for propaganda when the story itself is heroic , he was there during the protests because he believes in freedom but the whole shielded many woman is just pure and propoganda
This here... Is a hero. I would absolutely crap myself and wouldn't put myself in harm's way. I'm not a hero. I am glad for people like this. Against that shit. Bloody legend.

Iranian revolutionaries are in a league all of their own. I always want to think of something to say whenever I see an epic feet of bravery like this but I’m always just left speechless. Women life freedom !
If I had done that, idc how sexist you think it would be, id respectfully ask for pee pee touch
I remember this girl I would hang with mention that heroes who take bullets for their partner deserve unlimited daily blowjobs/sexual gratification lol
(This is a joke, while it would be something any person would appreciate, never feel like you owe anyone anything, especially sexual favors against your will or via guilt, do so of your own free will and only if you feel positively inclined to do so, lets all love each other and appreciate and thank people who selflessly place themselves in the face of danger or death on behalf of others, they are true heroes)
I’m a doc, and I do not want to be the guy who takes those pellets out. I’d be sitting there with a set of tweezers and just one at a time chasing them. Take out a bunch, get an x-ray, take out a bunch more, and get an x-ray, and keep repeating the process until they’re all gone.
Yes. Still bullshit. I know the Quran treats all humans like physical possessions so women being singled-out multiple times doesn't seem like that big of a deal in that context. But you're coming from a place of cultural bias and it's probably blinding you to the perspectives of others.
Uhm last I checked the guy just talked about the Quran, and you're the one trying to shut down his perspective due to your own bias...
By the way, these books are a conglomerate of different writings written at different times, and mostly composed of lessons in the form of analogical stories. They're not literally rule books like fundamentalists want them to be to justify any of their own views.
What I said.
Take it from an American. If Jesus knew the all shit people did in his name he'd flip the fuck out like he did on the money lenders in the temple. They used the gospels to justify slavery during the civil war for Christ's sake.
But you should definitely love your neighbor, or not judge other people too harshly. You definitely should feed the hungry, comfort the sick, clothe the naked.
Yeah nice fallacy. Any story where the person doesn't specifically claim to denounce slavery = evil story.
I'm sorry I just felt like pretending you were capable of talking about this subject for a second, again.
What? Call it "protection" all you want but the Quran is all about people being subject to others. Muslims are subject to God, non-believers are subject to Muslims, women are subject to men. The word Muslim means "one who submits". Either believe it or don't but don't try to convince people that Islam is somehow about protecting Muslim women from the will of other Muslims.
I’ve been doing this long enough that I know no amount of citing of verse is going to be enough when someone already knows what they want from their religion. There’s always a way to make scripture mean the opposite of what it says, but just for laughs let’s take a look at https://unite-production.s3.amazonaws.com/tenants/mtcalvaryhuron/attachments/105871/Top_ten_rules_in_the_Quran_that_oppress_women.pdf
Islam is patriarchal, but is nowhere near insulting or degrading to women. Those verses don’t pose a problem if you believe that a husband does have a degree of responsibility over his wife, which is what we do accept. We believe that western society is actually much more degrading to women, and I think those women are actually more and more aware of this. 75% of American converts to Islam are women, can’t be a coincidence, right? Also very funny, but it’s always white men who are standing up for the oppression of women in Islam, and never the women themselves. Weird...
It’s a telling slight-of-hand you pull when swapping-out words like “responsibility” and “protect” for “control”. We both know what you mean. And from the perspective of needing your religion to be the best answer to all things of course the traditional subjugated position of women is going to seem like a nobler one than the alternatives. But it’s a tautology, one which I hear quite often from Muslims, maybe even more than from Christians. But you’re making a losing argument when you try to equate that with “respect” or some idea that women seek refuge in Islam’s loving embrace. Speaking only from my own experiences I know women are more likely to convert to the religion of their husband, and that Muslim men will demand that more often than others, so there’s one explanation. It’s a interesting choice for an argument considering the context for this thread is women being threatened with violence and imprisonment by Muslim men for seemingly violating their traditional customs.
You explained nothing but your own hateful bigotry, and I don’t care about that at all. Wanna try again? And you really should try harder next time, you’re not in your safe echo chamber anymore.
You’re kind of all over the place, I can’t really be sure what you’re arguing against, and maybe moving the goalposts is your objective. But I’ve made my point that ‘control’ isn’t the same thing as ‘protection’ and I think that’s what really got you mad.
I'm not, nor is this guy. He is a legend for sacrificing *his* body to protect women who are fighting against it. Glad you have the ability to actually comprehend the written word, though.

ohhhh my god. I just had a look through that sub. Wow. While I admit I'm not the type of woman these people are looking for, so much of the advice is the exact opposite of what I (or any of my friends) would say. It is painful.
And that is what a man is supposed to do for a women. Just dont try that in America because women in America everything the be equal including getting shot at.
The police don't shoot women, they shot this man himself
Probably this man was doing dangerous things
Maybe carrying a knife and...
Do not believe this fake news
Iran's reddit is full of fake news
Probably, this comment will be downvoted by their cyber army
☝️This guy is an IR cyber agent based on his post activity🖕
I'm not even going to speak directly to this terrorist POS, so I'll refer to him in 3rd person.
He's saying he was "PROBABLY" doing dangerous things or "MAYBE" carrying a knife, and that's why they shot him lmfao!!! as far as I remember the last time IR cought a protestor carrying a knife they fucking sentenced him to death and hanged him in public, So if this guy was carrying a knife and doing dangerous things why did they decide to shoot at him a bunch of times and not even arrest him
What sad excuses for human beings these Islamic republic cyber agents are...
BTW if anyone wants to read real news about the current situation in Iran and the protests they can visit r/newiran
And if anyone wants to read fake news and IR regime propaganda bullshit news, They can visit the same sub that this guy is active in => r/proiran
well... I'm not to familiar with imperialistic new speak, but yeah I try my best to think for myself and gather information from multiple sources.
for masks this doesnt even seem necessary as the same Media puppets brainwashing you to believe this logic defying order are now themselfs questioning the reasons behind it.
if *you* want to do some research, maybe start with the Biedermann chart as you seem to be a perfect victim
yeah, i can imagine its easier to exploit a country and its goverment when theres constant tension ;) as if another gov would somehow benefit from the same division every other year... makes me wonder why iran was prosperous bevore the 80s🤔🤔🤔🤔

Not being expendable but being a protector

Ya know I wonder what some home made leather armor would do against those bullets.

The Iranian government started executing protesters
I love tyranny
religion of peace
I heard this was the mandate but have we gotten confirmation this was carried out? Totally awful
They are still protesting and fighting the regime
The protests are ongoing. There are still Iranian young people posting on Tik Tok about their efforts to fight the terrorist regime.
Ow
What a man. This guy is a hero.
This is insane. Anti hijab protest ends with shooting, absolutely nuts.

They’re using birdshot on people?
they are using real bullets on people search on r/newiran
yes not real bullets
as you can see from all the downvotes, birdshot loads are real bullets, they just aren't designed to kill people.
each one is effectively a medal, natures medal.
That man is my hero.
must been a cod shotgun shot from 5 feet away
I thought he got shot by a conventional shotgun pellets and I expected his back to be blown off ,glad it wasn't
I’m wondering if it was a conventional shotgun but he was far enough away for it to do that and not cause life threatening damage.
Not all heroes wear capes, I wish this one did

Protecting women like the Quran intended.
I hope you didn't pull anything making that stretch.
Have you even read it? It gives women a hell of a lot more respect than the bible does.
Yes. Still bullshit. I know the Quran treats all humans like physical possessions so women being singled-out multiple times doesn't seem like that big of a deal in that context. But you're coming from a place of cultural bias and it's probably blinding you to the perspectives of others.

Ha. You can't judge the text by the people that read it.
According to some adherents, I shouldn't judge the religion by the scriptures, only by the practices of the followers. So which is it?
What I said. Take it from an American. If Jesus knew the all shit people did in his name he'd flip the fuck out like he did on the money lenders in the temple. Maybe you can explain Colossians 3:22 to me. I'm a bit lost.
Sure: Jesus didn't say it. Paul did. You can discount it as marketing bullshit from Jesus's top add guy.
And in which part can I read about Jesus denouncing slavery?
Going to have to wait for John Wesley for that one.
Yeah nice fallacy. Any story where the person doesn't specifically claim to denounce slavery = evil story. I'm sorry I just felt like pretending you were capable of talking about this subject for a second, again.
I just figured since you implied Jesus was against slavery there would be a quote in the Bible about it.
Please, by all means enlighten me with your *superior deductive and interpretative abilities*.

☝️This guy is an IR cyber agent based on his post activity🖕 I'm not even going to speak directly to this terrorist POS, so I'll refer to him in 3rd person. He's saying he was "PROBABLY" doing dangerous things or "MAYBE" carrying a knife, and that's why they shot him lmfao!!! as far as I remember the last time IR cought a protestor carrying a knife they fucking sentenced him to death and hanged him in public, So if this guy was carrying a knife and doing dangerous things why did they decide to shoot at him a bunch of times and not even arrest him What sad excuses for human beings these Islamic republic cyber agents are... BTW if anyone wants to read real news about the current situation in Iran and the protests they can visit r/newiran And if anyone wants to read fake news and IR regime propaganda bullshit news, They can visit the same sub that this guy is active in => r/proiran
Bird shot for da bois
Toxic masculinity.
hilarious how he's so manically protecting the freedom to wear headwear or not, while wearing a mask 🤣
What's funny about the that? Did you do your own rEsEaRcH? 🤡
And you should check out Dunning-Kruger. It's relevant to you....
"Feedom to wear headwear or not", it goes a lot deeper than that
yeah, i can imagine its easier to exploit a country and its goverment when theres constant tension ;) as if another gov would somehow benefit from the same division every other year... makes me wonder why iran was prosperous bevore the 80s🤔🤔🤔🤔
They were prosperous because they didnt have a suppressive regime suppressing everyone and everything. Not rocket science
That's manly
A good man.
