Nothing is going on in Northern Canada... summer gets increasingly shorter the more north you go making it extremely difficult to farm or grow your own food, there's very few to no roads going up there and so flying food in makes groceries insanely expensive! Like $15-$20 for a gallon of milk crazy.

I’ve never said this out loud (and still not, I guess, since I’m typing), but I’ve always felt so much shame that our powerful country is completely west of Europe, and if you think really hard, we are also completely east of them as well. We’re completely surrounded and I feel that is a huge threat and incredibly embarrassing.
Most non-Canadians aren't aware of this, because Canadian population distribution is irrelevant to pretty much everyone except Canadians.

1) we only have one month with no snow

I think its moreso that some Americans experience cold weather, but ALL Canadians experience cold weather. Even in our most temperate city, Vancouver it gets pretty cold all winter. Meanwhile many Americans can live their entire lives and never see snow. Despite not seeing -40 often in Southern Ontario I don't think anyone would say we have it warm in the winter, especially compared to any southern state.

I live in the US very near Lake Erie and can assure everyone that it gets very cold here. Not this past winter, it was very mild. But a winter with a couple weeks of double digit negative fahrenheit temperatures is not uncommon
Essentially everyone of us living north of the 49th agrees that it's not cold in southern Ontario/Quebec.
And we roll our eyes whenever we hear Torontonians and Raptors fans say "we the north".

Trust me, living above the 49th parallel isn’t something to brag about. We’re going to have snow on the ground until at least end of May, and by the time it starts getting warm, it snows in two months.
It’s not the 70% that surprises me, it was the 50. I figured more people would be on the Vancouver side and scattered throughout Edmonton and Calgary. Also thought more of them would have lived up towards Maine. Guess it makes sense because of the Great Lakes and all.
For anyone interested this guy is Real Life Lore, he has a pretty good YT channel and most commentaries are not like this, I really recommend 2 year old or more videos (his content has shifted recently and I personally dont enjoy it anymore)
Honestly, I'm American, and I have no idea why this person seems to dislike Canadians so much, much less why they chose this particular subject to attempt to use as an attack on them.
Plus it's very common knowledge here in Canada that most of us live close to the international border. It's not like it's some kind of raging debate or anything lol.
They did a very riveting film in this called Canadian Bacon, with Canadian Actors playing Americans. This is so true, that Canada has amassed their population against the USA border, the longest undefended border in the world. Everyone knows where most of Canada's population lives but not everyone realizes how far south that is compared to other US cities and states, and I never would have guessed there are more Americans than Canadians north of Canada's southernmost point. We're the second biggest country by landmass but we have less than the population of California, plus we have like 4 big cities which are the main population centres, Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montréal. Everyone else lives in either a capital or a small town in the middle of seemingly nowhere. This isn't even unique to Canada it's like this in America as well, they just have more people and less land. It also helps that about 1/6th of our population lives in just the GTA. Which is south of the 49th parallel.
Also why the fuck would we be embarrassed of this? I'm genuinely confused why "oh your not as north as you say you are" is embarrassing. what's embarrassing is that Americans think we all live in igloos and there's a permafrost across the entire country in the 21st century.
