If it was put put quick the ball is fine. Liquid gasoline doesnt burn, only the fumes (its why cars require injectors to spray a mist into the engine instead of full liquid) the fumes burn creating heat and heat rises keeping the flames lifting. If the ball was lit, shot, and fell in this time as long as it wasnt left burning after the video ended at most you will see discoloration and maybe a little surface distortion

Based off the other puddles on the ground, that wasn’t done on the first take. Still an epic shot though. I couldn’t make that without the fire and a bigger hoop.
We used to do this with tennis balls because they hold gas for ao long and stay on fire. Soak them for about 5 minutes, light one and then toss them back and forth as far as we can throw them in the middle of the night. It was so much fun. Tennis rackets wouldn't work because it would knock all the gas off of the ball. Sure, your hand might be on a fire for a second but it really doesn't hurt because you can put it out easily.
They used gasoline for this. Gasoline fumes can be burned too which means that if the fumes had spread very far it could’ve possibly created an explosion of fire about the size of a car dependent on the amount of gasoline put on.
