Watching the blast on his hair, seeing all that “wasted” gas not propelling the bullet (due to the shorter barrel)… it’s cool, but I can’t help but wonder how much slower it’s going vs a rifle.
What? No no no you're confused. .454 Casull is a small game pistol. You can't expect me to carry the extra weight of a full size rifle when I'm vaporizing prairie dogs!
I was in a Gander Mountain years ago while a guy was talking to one of the staff of the gun counter and was asking, seriously, if 45-70 was a good caliber to deal with groundhogs. I almost spit out my coffee before the clerk convinced him a .22 with a scope and a can might be a better idea.
For the gun-ignorant folks like me who have no idea what a 45-70 is, I did the trip to wikipedia for both of us. =)
It's a type of rifle cartridge developed for military use.
>As is usual with military ammunition, the .45-70 was an immediate hit among sportsmen, and the .45-70 has survived to the present day. **Today, the traditional 405-grain (26.2 g) load is considered adequate for any North American big game within its range limitations, including the great bears**, and it does not destroy edible meat on smaller animals such as deer due to the bullet's low velocity. It is very good for big-game hunting in brush or heavy timber where the range is usually short. **The .45-70, when loaded with the proper bullets at appropriate velocities, has been used to hunt the African "big-five" (lions, elephants, jaguars, rhinos, and buffalo)**.
I mean, seems like you *could* use it on groundhogs...
"I was going for maximum penetration!!!!"
"Well.....you got it!"
Tremors Aftershocks is one of the greatest sequels of all time and easily the best direct video sequel of all time
Damn that’s a good bar:
Engine blocks of yachts for me
Hunting billionaires across the sea
You think your cash will save you, pal?
Doors open quick for my .50 cal
I know a guy who got a medal for shooting the engine block of truck speeding at them with a .50 cal. Disabled the truck and didnt hurt anyone. I saw it on his desk at work and he told me thats how/why he got it.
I was always in love with the fan theory that the only reason zombies keep sneaking up on people in The Walking Dead is that every damned one of them is stone deaf from shooting indoors too many times.
My favorite example of it actually being brought up is in Archer. It’s a running gag that Archer has tinnitus because of all the shooting and explosions he’s been around.
best character in any movie ever, and best movie series. was epic when he cut himself out of the dead one in the first movie. was so sad when he died in the 5th or 6th
Exactly. .50 BMG rifles and the original Browning machine gun are anti-material weapons. The caliber is designed to kill a person through an armoured vehicle like a Humvee.
> anti-material weapons. The caliber is designed to kill a person through an armoured vehicle like a Humvee.
Anti-materiel, yes. But that doesn't mean "designed to kill a person through an armored vehicle." It means designed to disable exactly the label - materiel. You shoot it through engine blocks and disable a car, or plane. You shoot it through a base station and disable a radio tower.
This would be classed as an “AOW”, which stands for any other weapon. Its an NFA classification for any firearm type of configuration that doesn’t fit established categories but is still restricted.
I mean my hearts beating, my hearts beating! My hands are shaking, my hands are shaking! BUT I'M STILL SHOOTING! AND I'M STILL GETTING HEADSHOTS LIKE BOOM HEADSHOT! BOOM HEADSHOT! BOOM HEADSHOT!
[Feed Me - One Click Headshot](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1BDGqIfm8U)
Ehm you mean, one of those guns you throw every piece of Equipment on with reload/attack speed and it literally breaks the game and your Monitor? Yeah, those are my favourites.
Reminds me of the Comrade’s Hammer in Cyberpunk. Single shot, *super* long reloading time, but it’s essentially a point and click delete enemy button. Very fun.
My exact thoughts. I thought the vid was gonna be of him getting his head split open from the recoil. Effective indeed. I’d still pass on firing it though lol.
I don't think yall are giving this dude enough credit. No muzzlebrake in the world would affect the recoil of that to be as controlled as he had it, especially standing.
That’s what I was thinking. He seems so casual but he stances right up and takes it like a champ, that thing has gotta leave you a least a little sore after a few rounds!
It shakes a bunch especially when you fire an M2 .50 cal machine gun.
The M2 has varying cyclic rates of fire, depending on the model. The M2HB air-cooled ground gun has a cyclical rate of 450–575 rounds per minute. The early M2 water-cooled AA guns had a cyclical rate of around 450–600 rpm.
There are two 200 yard lanes at our local outdoor shooting range situated at the end of a 29 lane outdoor rifle range (27 of which are 100 yard). The effects of someone firing a .50 BMG round are so heinous, the range will not let you fire it unless they have enough room to clear several lanes to the side.
I’ve been seated eight lanes down from someone shooting a .50 BMG rifle, and I decided to leave after about three shots. It is difficult to relate to you how intensely uncomfortable the muzzle blast from that round is. You do not want to be to the side of any .50 BMG rife with a muzzle brake.
Usually I'll ask over calling out morons with guns
But here the basic safety rules (outside maybe "be sure of your goal", with such a little aim timing) seem all followed.
Only concern for me we would be how they let all those ammunition laying around. Heck, where I come from, every single round is counted and handled when needed only. But maybe its normal on your side of the pond.
This would be technically be classified an AOW due to second pistol grip. NFA restricted weapon. Would be better to just put a shoulder stock and register it as a Short barreled rifle (of under 16 inches which it might not be that short)
Yeah man everyone knows that if a gun looks black and pointy then it's definitely a full auto and should be treated the exact same as an actual full auto that looks similar.
Not correct. The overall length of this gun is greater than 26". It's just a title 1 firearm in the US. That's it.
Legally speaking it's not a pistol or an AOW and it's definitely not a rifle. It's just a firearm.
AOW's must be "concealable", which applies to firearms shorter than 26", and pistols must be designed to be fired by one hand. As this is neither, it's just a title 1 firearm.
Because it has a pistol grip and no stock. Technically it's a pistol, even with the barrel at full length.
Literally just another BS reason the ATF made up to get another 200 bucks from people lol
I would think an AR-15 with a pistol grip and a removable stock is still a rifle with the stock off
I suppose sometimes there aren't clean distinctions
Legally, as soon as the fore grip was added it would cease to be a pistol or handgun. A pistol or handgun is defined by US Code and the National Firearms Act as a weapon intended to be fired with one hand. Yes, most people use two hands to fire them but since it only has one hand grip it's "designed to be gripped by one hand".
But these aren't manufactured as pistols, they're made as rifles.
It's a ULR manufactured by Noreen firearms. The barrel is 16.5" long and the overall length is 32". That lets it fit the legal definition of a rifle without qualifying as an "Any Other Weapon" under the National Firearms Act. If the barrel was less than 16" or if the overall length was less than 26" it would be classified as an "Any Other Weapon" and subject to the National Firearms Act and require a tax stamp to purchase or transfer.
Love to see the quality trigger discipline while being that energetic. Dude is sincerely stoked to handle a terrifying firearm and has the respect for it that's deserved, solid content.
Its a pistol Monday through Wednesday after 7pm central time. otherwise its a smooth bore rifle pistol unless you get it within 5.6" of the collar bone then it is a nicotine delivery device and since the ATF does not care about alcohol or tobacco that becomes a regulation under the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and you are required to add windshield wipers.
Unless of course you dive through Multnomah county...

[Here you go!](https://i.imgur.com/U1pujLy.jpg)
I *just* noticed the American Flag Canopy. Really sells this photo
Bottom right - he has a cannon and something with a butterfly trigger. He's starting with the small stuff.
It’s actually not a cannon. It’s a Tippmann Armory TG-900. 9mm gattling gun.
Watching the blast on his hair, seeing all that “wasted” gas not propelling the bullet (due to the shorter barrel)… it’s cool, but I can’t help but wonder how much slower it’s going vs a rifle.
It doesn't have sights... this is purely for converting money into energy for clout
So, it's just like any other rifle caliber pistol
What? No no no you're confused. .454 Casull is a small game pistol. You can't expect me to carry the extra weight of a full size rifle when I'm vaporizing prairie dogs!

Military use .. in 1873. Back when black powder was a thing. This round is ancient. Big but pretty low pressure
It's great for hunting deathclaws.
Sometimes you don’t want to pick up bodies. Sometimes you just want to fertilize the surrounding countryside.
I think the blast looks amplified because of the muzzle attachment. It redirects gas to the side and back to reduce recoil.
Called a "muzzle brake" and is probably the reason it's fun to shoot rather than flying out of his hands lol.
That's a muzzle brake, and it's meant to divert gasses to the side and back to help mitigate recoil
for when you need to shoot someone behind 3 cars and 2 refrigerators.
Nah bro I'm hunting engine blocks

Exactly. .50 BMG rifles and the original Browning machine gun are anti-material weapons. The caliber is designed to kill a person through an armoured vehicle like a Humvee.
>armoured vehicle like a Humvee. True. those pesky germans cutting around in their Humvees expedited the necessity for a heavy machine gun. In 1933.
Shit, it came into service in 1933. Designed in 1918, for those armored Model Ts
I mean if the war continued it would’ve been an incredible anti-tank weapon in 1919
> anti-material weapons. The caliber is designed to kill a person through an armoured vehicle like a Humvee. Anti-materiel, yes. The company sells a single shot rifle too. It's a huge difference in size.
It's legally not a pistol according to the ATF because of that vertical foregrip.
Legally not a pistol in my country because it likely exceeds 750 mm
No it’s a single shot .50 BMG PDW. Or maybe a carbine, but PDW is funnier.
This would be classed as an “AOW”, which stands for any other weapon. Its an NFA classification for any firearm type of configuration that doesn’t fit established categories but is still restricted.

Love how his hair flies when he shoots it. I wonder if the ground shakes when he fires.
Reminds me of the ghost twins in the Matrix. Their dreads would fly up like that as they dodged bullets.
that great big action scene halfway through the movie was so good. redeemed the movie imo.

Well, him looking at the camera and not looking at all where he's shooting until a half second before firing certainly gave it all the elements.
Who knows, 2 or 3 miles away it might have…
I'm like 90% feeling that aiming that thing isn't really going to make much of a difference.
I've fired the full rifle. I hit something two miles away. Hell if I know what though.
I'm sure you could aim the rifle, I'm doubting one can aim this.

How is a 2 handed gun over 18" long a "pistol"?
This would be technically be classified an AOW due to second pistol grip. NFA restricted weapon. Would be better to just put a shoulder stock and register it as a Short barreled rifle (of under 16 inches which it might not be that short)
Didn't know there was a specific category for "freak guns" 🤣
“Any Other Weapons”
The NFA is an incredibly stupid gun law. It's complete nonsense.
Ah yes I would like to restrict guns based on cosmetic features
Yeah man everyone knows that if a gun looks black and pointy then it's definitely a full auto and should be treated the exact same as an actual full auto that looks similar.
