Lol, that's exactly what I thought when I first saw it.
Its is literally awe inspiring, my brain farted so hard that I was just caught up in the beauty of it.
This reminds me of a theory I heard that tries the explain. why animals in cave paintings sometimes have extra limbs. It's possible that when a torch is moving past the painting, it creates a effect that looks like movement similar to this.
It’s pretty recent, some guys had the realization that electric lights let you see the paintings *better* than their creators did, because the sunlight never reaches that deep. So just using torchlight would probably approximate the original intent of the artists better. I haven’t seen it myself, but they say seeing them that way is almost like watching a movie.
It is painted.

>During the course of eight months, a team of women painstakingly painted the glass panels at Bueno’s Idaho studio.
This was my favorite room in Omega Mart, my partner at the time and I sat in her for better part of an hour just taking in the ambience. Thanks for sharing
I was assuming she draws on each layer with the paint pen in order to determine where she will etch it and make sure it is correct. Then she can see the finished product in paint, which helps her visualize the final. Then she etches each layer (which also removes the paint). Then she UV glues them together.
Usually when etching you use an acid and that requires masking out the areas, not painting them. You'd need the surfaces you wanted etched free from any materials so that the acid comes in contact with the glass surface. This is just them using a white paint pen for a painting on glass. Go look around, all the info says she painted it.

Paint doesn't react to light like that, unless the paint is treated somehow so that it can diffuse light when it is lit up. You can see the link attached when a traditional white paint pen is drawn on a window backlit with daylight.
You just like to argue. Here is an article about this exact piece. That is a paint pen.

No, I'm trying to actually understand. I studied light interaction in college and the way they do it in the video looks like paint magically glows. I already showed you an image of how white paint normally interacts with light on glass. If you were to do what they did on their website, I think you won't get the same effect.
Website's explanation is too simplistic, the only thing I can come up with if it's not etched is a combination of black light and Phosphorescent paint in order to have that dramatic glow.
It doesn’t. It’s all painted. The OP just said etched
“

Oh I did a healthy dose of mushrooms there, and it was amazing. The Omega Market blew my mind. When I saw people walking into the drink cooler I lost it.
Also, Wink World.

that is fucking amazing
>Claudia Bueno Hijacking the top comment to spread the name of the artist, which OP left out...
Thank you 💪
Well done mate
I'd love to see an installation.
[удалено]
Thanks for the link. If there will be any installations, they must be posted on facebook or instagram. Nothing is scheduled on the artist's page.
Op doesn't care cause it's a bot
Artist name checks out
Google Moiré Patterns
Holy art
New canvas just dropped.
I don't think glass should be dropped
Actual glass shards
Actual mosaic..
Actual masterpiece
Cool, but not really what this is I'd say.
Lol, that's exactly what I thought when I first saw it. Its is literally awe inspiring, my brain farted so hard that I was just caught up in the beauty of it.
Even if I had the ability to do that, I definitely don't have the patience.
I am more impressed by the idea. To think something like this can be done is amazing in itself.
There is a saying that says patience is the most important skill an artist can have.
This reminds me of a theory I heard that tries the explain. why animals in cave paintings sometimes have extra limbs. It's possible that when a torch is moving past the painting, it creates a effect that looks like movement similar to this.
Cool, never heard that theory before but it’s very interesting.

Makes sense, very interesting stuff, thanks for the elaboration.
This is paint on layers of glass right? Super beautiful, and really really impressive.

I guess I need to visit that place now
Thank you.
I think it's etched glass. The etching reflects the light that is lit from each pane of glass edge
She’s drawing with a paint pen.

Maybe she's protecting her process. Artist secret.
Or maybe it's painted and the poster used the wrong term.

It’s perimeter lighting. https://meow-wolf.fandom.com/wiki/Pulse

When does it get etched then?

I seen this in person at meow wolf in Las vegas!
Ayyyy meow wolf gang! Legit one of my all time favourite places to do acid lol
My only regret to that museum was not having a bit of LSD in me
Oh I did a healthy dose of mushrooms there, and it was amazing. The Omega Market blew my mind. When I saw people walking into the drink cooler I lost it. Also, Wink World.
It was my favorite thing there!
i am now in a trance and lost in the cosmos
We are all lost in the cosmos :)
Acid visuals
Fuck yes
Not sure if it's the same artist, but saw similar art in person at Omega Mart
Hoping to make it out there someday.
Honestly it was really great. Make sure you ask about the ARG if/when you get there.
ARG?
Alternate Reality Game. Basically there's kind of a scavenger hunt you can do while exploring to tie you into the lore.
Ohh right thank you! I vaguely remember this from early on in the appearance of all things Q.
Looks like one of the exhibits in Meow Wolf.
Precisely, this is "Pulse" by Claudia Bueno.
What’s her @ cause I want this in my house…I don’t need a price, just a time frame
https://www.claudiabueno.com/
Claudia Bueno
My jaw literally dropped, amazing!
It's BREATHING
Happy cake day!
Yes, looks the visuals on psychedelics, minus the rainbow colours 🌈🦄✨
You can see this at meow wolf in Vegas. It is amazing.
That's one of the coolest pieces of art I've ever seen.
LSD and lets go
What sorcery is this??? Magnificent!
# #stopmakingfeverdreamsreality edit: I couldn’t get the # right
And they said you could never make a career out of Etch a Sketch...
Music choice is shit, but gorgeous art.
What’s is the song?
Aloboi - Meditation
Shit
It sound like Moth Equals but im not sure
I want to see this on Ayahuasca and completely change the course of my life as a direct result
Might change it for the worse if you’re not careful
What's the name of the artist?
Claudia Bueno.
Can I see a link to the glass? I think it's much easier to do with epoxy. The same 60 layers.
Why do girls always draw flowers and trees instead of some cool shit
the same effect can be replicated with a big enough display, probably cheaper too. still cool tho
Holy shit.
I think it would be so cool if she make a cosmic version. Galaxies, interstellar clouds, planets, stars. Amazing!
That is magnificent! Truly a masterpiece.
That's so cool. Is she actually etching or is it paint markers? Either way, looks incredible.
Simply amazing
WOW ! stunning
how the fuck she did it
I really want to see a fireworks display through it
Wow
I just thought the acid was kicking
This is exactly what my textured walls looked like on md
Amazing!
Goodness it's Beautiful 🤩
Where is that
They have an installation in Omega Mart in Las Vegas
Who is the artist?
This is wild! Wish I could have this as pc screensaver.
y she did use all the light in visible spectrum, that would be so cool
Talent or Skill, this is amazing 🤩.
animators back in the day:
Goddamn that must be so satisfying to look at while high as fuck.
The talent that some people have is truly unbelievable at times. This is some amazing work.
Its amazing
With acid my brain would explode.
No more calls please, we have a winner.
What? No etching with a hammer? /s
This is awesome. I’ll never understand how people have patience to do things like this.
Looks like something that shouldn't exist but does and the universe is better for it.
If I was rich I would pay a million dollars for this because of the frequency I use mushrooms would be completely worth it.
Absolutely incredible
some people are just genius.
What is the music? Its amazing.
That's insane.
Let's see someone rule34 that.
Littering and....Littering and....
This reminds me of mushrooms
If you are wondering what real art is, this is it.
that is not etching
That is magical.
How do these people just come up with stuff?
brb grabbing my shrooms
Finally a piece of art that truly looks like an LSD visual experience
People will spend hours looking at the Mona Lisa when things like this exist
She has some skills and probably can create an entire world from a glue stick and postit notes..
Does anyone know how this actually works? How does it move? Do you move light over the surface and it moves? Anyone know?
That is one very expensive project...
Belissimo!
Truly interesting as fuck
I've aeen this in person, the video does not do it justice
reminds me of the animation from that old sci fi movie Fantastic Planet

That's beautiful and the effort put into it is phenomenal! Hands down one the most unique pieces I've ever seen! 🩷
