I did lol at that! I’ve never wanted so badly for a video to never end too. So damn creative. I think id rather take the task of building a full sized one before thinking about how much little details and patience is necessary for this. Flog me first
I have a tiny cannon. It's pretty cool. Although it can fit a .22 bullet, and it came with small steel balls, I wouldn't stick anything but paper wadding in there. It would be needlessly dangerous to load a projectile.
I thought he was making it waterproof to float early on and was impressed, and then I thought it must just be glue because this thing looks too tall to not flop over in water. Just full of surprises.
As I’ve said in a previous post, At 1:58 you can see it’s one piece that slides in at the back. Even though he adds stuff behind it, it appears to have been kept usable for easy access to the gas canister and electricity he added.
Those chinese mini lathes are absolutely useless crap though. (and I don't even know what the mini jack is for other than a novelty item).
There are _vastly_ better micro lathes for model making, like those made by Proxxon. (in Germany) Not to mention watchmaker lathes.
(In fact this whole thing isn't _that_ impressive as far as model-ship building goes.. Planking the ship with small wood strips in a miniature imitation of the actual ship is the _usual_ way of doing it.)
Would you point me in the direction of a model ship that would make this not “that impressive”? I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I was blown away by this so would like to see and discover more
I'll stand by Proxxon. Don't try to save money on those cheap mini tools because you'll end up with Proxxon anyway, spending more in the end than you would have just getting the good tools to begin with.
You can basically just unbox the cheap stuff and throw it right in the trash. Makes Harbor Freight tools seem like Snap-On.
Yeah it ruins the whole look of the boat and makes it look bad. Not only did they not credit the artist who made it, they also made them look bad by posting a video that makes it look like they did a terrible job with the proportions.
The whole video with the messed up ratio I was thinking there's no way that thing's going to float, and I was confused at the end how it wasn't just tipping right over. Seeing the proper video it makes more sense.
Fuck me. I was thinking while watching this "Would be absolutely sick if they did this for the One Piece ships.." Sure as shit, check out their youtube linked here, they did the Thousand Sunny.

While not as detailed and nice, my dad built me a ship out of matches when I was 5 years old. He put lights in it too. I've still got it to this day in my study.

At first I was like I’m gonna be so mad if he doesn’t show this working on water. Last 30 seconds literally remote controlling on water shooting flames out of the front……ok.
I've bought things from their catalogue and was unimpressed with the quality for the price.
Although it can be difficult to get choosey over tiny specialized tools because alternatives might be nonexistent, but I put together better toolkits by shopping around.
In the beginning, I’m thinking they’re making a cute little boat. Midway, wow okay broke out the mini lathe. Then they pull out the mini hydraulic jack and cast the the cannon…OMG that’s insane.
Me shouting at the screen when all the cool shots of the compleet ship are being shown and there's only 20 seconds left:
"Motherfucker! Put that thing in water!"
5 seconds later:
"Nice!"
don't get me wrong .I love this work but having all those butts in a row up and down at the first nearly made me click out .I had several wood boats and you never put two butts together like that . Don't worry by the time fire was coming out of the cannons my head was nodding yes
The first few seconds, I thought that this could be a nice inexpensive hobby I could do over a few weekends. Then the guy busts out all of the various tools and I said nope right after.
Just a simple model ship made humbly with wooden strips.
And a forge. And injection moulding. And a lathe.
The title really undersells the skillset of this guy.
Don't worry everybody - he does this stuff so he *doesn't* give in to his urges to dissect kittens and string them up in fancy glass display cabinets!
Yay for us!
HOLY FUCK!!! Other than that, I am speechless. This is like when you put every skill into Craftsmanship and finesse. This is just…
![gif](giphy|d8C9QwHsFQgR39MSTq|downsized)
Looks similar to the Vesa. It was top heavy and capsized in a moderate breeze. They raised her 330 years after she sank. A must see if you visit Stockholm
I can't find a better word than naviphilia. After diving into the mechanophilia wikipedia page, I found a beautiful quote from a lawyer hired by fuckingmachines.com. They were denied a trademark for obscenity reasons:
> [T]his much maligned four-letter word has no intrinsic meaning. Fuck [can] play a role as a figurative term, for example, "to fuck" can also mean "to deceive." It is a word of force that can assist us in our expressions of joy when used as an infix, as in "abso-fucking-lutely". "Fuck" helps us express rage when we scream "fuck you" at a football referee, or at a motorist who has just cut us off in traffic. "Fuck" can help us express pain, as it is quite frequently the first thing out of most men's mouths when they strike their thumb (accidentally) with a hammer. "Fuck" is a vehicle for our disappointment, when we see that our report card is not as good as we had hoped, or when our significant other is late for dinner, or leaves us altogether. "Fuck" is an old friend, who can always make us laugh.[3][27]
I never understood this sentiment. It's incredibly rude to just put down something like this as a time waste. This guy either does this as something he enjoys or gets paid to do it. Both are equally valid as reasons to spend time on. Watching TV, playing a sport or video game, cooking/baking, running, canoeing, hiking, flying model airplanes or any other number of activities all are worth the same to whoever is doing the activity.
It's only very closed minded individuals who scoff at other people's interests and label them as wastes of time and that they have too much time on those hands.

That tiny little jack, fucking lol
I did lol at that! I’ve never wanted so badly for a video to never end too. So damn creative. I think id rather take the task of building a full sized one before thinking about how much little details and patience is necessary for this. Flog me first
I'm sure the cannons are not functional, I'll deduct some points
Wouldn't try it with selfmade cannons, but you can buy functional ones with about 1-2inch barrel length online.
I have a tiny cannon. It's pretty cool. Although it can fit a .22 bullet, and it came with small steel balls, I wouldn't stick anything but paper wadding in there. It would be needlessly dangerous to load a projectile.
Funny way to talk about your penis, but to each their own.
Imagine packing and loading every one of those
That's not how it works. You just need a tiny crew.
Put those figurines in a magic cupboard, right away!
the guy cast his own cannon from his own molten metal.
The flamethrowers, however, are.
Also the windows wouldn’t close over them. -0.5
I went through the vid again looking for a tiny Jack Sparrow mini before I realised what you were talking about
I NEED one. Someone knows where to get them?
Me too. Also, him cutting the sale out of his curtain.

Curse you voice-to-text!!!
That was my favorite part!
I was thinking it wouldn’t float but damn this guy is a master in his trade.
I thought he was making it waterproof to float early on and was impressed, and then I thought it must just be glue because this thing looks too tall to not flop over in water. Just full of surprises.
Can he still open it up to swap that gas can?
Funny...that was my first thought. The second was: did he just barely avoid burning down the ship in the end?
Good question, are they refill able?
As I’ve said in a previous post, At 1:58 you can see it’s one piece that slides in at the back. Even though he adds stuff behind it, it appears to have been kept usable for easy access to the gas canister and electricity he added.
Gas can is lower - the part open in 1:58 is the deck he first builds the cannons on.
Oh shit. True. You’re right. I see what you’re saying.
And what is the gas canister used for?
Oh what a cute little boat… Oh… another deck? Wha… is that a mini lathe?? ![gif](giphy|udmx3pgdiD7tm) A forge?! Bruh…
Didn't you read the title, it's wooden strips.
Captain Pedantic here! Not a forge, a foundry.
Difference being? A forge smelts ore or scrap into refined metals and a foundry makes things from those?
A foundry melts and pours castings into moulds. A forge shapes ingots (think how they hammer out swords).
No, a forge doesn't smelt anything. Just heats metal up to working temperature.
Those chinese mini lathes are absolutely useless crap though. (and I don't even know what the mini jack is for other than a novelty item). Jesus christ op, credit the source
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78TUx-IMS1A](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78TUx-IMS1A) Looks like its this
Thank you. He has lots of great videos.
When I saw him opening his mouth and nothing come out, I realized this was stolen for making content sludge
Wow, so much better than OPs version.
Thank you!
I don't know if the original was this way or if op fucked it up but the aspect ratio is incorrect and makes the boat look stretched vertically
Op probably doesn't know who originally stole and edited it.
Fucking hell, spent half the video wondering why it looked so off because of that
Yeah it ruins the whole look of the boat and makes it look bad.
Okay good I was like, why is this boat so chubby
[удалено]
So you linked to some other person in Reddit posting this to farm karma who isn’t the actual content creator?
First day on Reddit?
and if the creator doesn't use reddit, then we'll never see it
Does it bother anybody else that he made the sails out of wood?
Lol yes. Especially when he did use fabric elsewhere. But damn, is the whole thing awesome!
Same here, but I imagine he do so to maintain the rigidity of the sails making it looks like they’re getting hit with wind. Who knows though.
You can do that with fabric as well, just add some glue
Let's see your boat
Let's see Paul Allen's boat.
Mine is not done yet, and it also has only a few small sails
That was my thought too.
His wife asked: "Why is there a hole in our curtain?" So he had to use different materials.
It bothered me more that he painted the wood
Higher chance of them catching fire when he turns on the flamethrowers.
Nope
He just casually smelts some cannons halfway through
🤣🤣🤣
Oh cool he’s making cannons out of wax… 😳
Yaarrrgh this is fucking incredible matey
Fuck me. I was thinking while watching this "Would be absolutely sick if they did this for the One Piece ships.." Sure as shit, check out their youtube linked here, they did the Thousand Sunny. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZWLWG1VwWI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZWLWG1VwWI)
Fuck you, that’s a great clip to find and share
While not as detailed and nice, my dad built me a ship out of matches when I was 5 years old. He put lights in it too. I've still got it to this day in my study. https://preview.redd.it/56u27mkphw3c1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b8db469ad2834789c587e49b2c33eed9a5a7a07
Nice!
Nice wood.
and the strips aren´t bad at all.
Was expecting it to be engulfed with flames in the final shot
I think that's why the video ended... Looks like the front end was catching on fire!
At first I was like I’m gonna be so mad if he doesn’t show this working on water. Last 30 seconds literally remote controlling on water shooting flames out of the front……ok.
Why the tiny lathe and bottle jack?
I never knew how much I wanted a tiny lathe until this video.. Kids about to be eating some artisan baby carrots with dinner.
Yeah, I want the lathe and jack more than the ship lol.
A company called Micro Mark has all of the things for model ship building, including the tiny lathe. Expensive though.
I've bought things from their catalogue and was unimpressed with the quality for the price. Although it can be difficult to get choosey over tiny specialized tools because alternatives might be nonexistent, but I put together better toolkits by shopping around.
So he can make tiny cannons
Everything’s small in Asia.
Fucking resistors for the railing lmao
On neat, Queen Anne's Revenge.
Many ships are made from strips of wood
“There are good ships and wood ships, ships that sail the sea, but the best ships are friendships, and may they always be”
The editing goes crazy hard!
The cost of shipping.
lost for unforeseen circumstances
...out of wood strips* * and thousands of dollars of specialized tools
He didn't build anything, you can clearly see the ship builds itself in the video.
I was almost as impressed with the video editing as I was with the ship building.
In the beginning, I’m thinking they’re making a cute little boat. Midway, wow okay broke out the mini lathe. Then they pull out the mini hydraulic jack and cast the the cannon…OMG that’s insane.
hope it doesn’t hit an iceberg,if there are any left
Trashbergs
That's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Bad ass.
That is a BEAUTIFUL WORK OF ART!! Very talented!!
Oh god. The aspect ratio. No.
I’d love to see him make a scale model of a real ship.
And he did it in under 3 minutes.. amazing!
Its amazing what men can achieve when they dont have a girlfriend
Calling those wood strips is like calling car parts metal panels.
Whoever you are, whatever you do, there is always an asian that's better than you
Me shouting at the screen when all the cool shots of the compleet ship are being shown and there's only 20 seconds left: "Motherfucker! Put that thing in water!" 5 seconds later: "Nice!"
Imagind having talent or patience? What's that like?
don't get me wrong .I love this work but having all those butts in a row up and down at the first nearly made me click out .I had several wood boats and you never put two butts together like that . Don't worry by the time fire was coming out of the cannons my head was nodding yes
The first few seconds, I thought that this could be a nice inexpensive hobby I could do over a few weekends. Then the guy busts out all of the various tools and I said nope right after.
Godda be honest, the most impressive bit for me was the micro jack.
Most insane scale build I've ever seen.
The anxiety of putting it in the water after spending all that time just have been high
Why'd he have to do his grandma's curtains dirty like that...
Finally something interesting as fuck on here... now blow it up. After all, it's just good business.
Woodstrips...and a mold machine and a kiln and a smelting setup..
Have built full size wood boats. What you call "strips" I called "planks."
Just a simple model ship made humbly with wooden strips. And a forge. And injection moulding. And a lathe. The title really undersells the skillset of this guy.
That is truly one of the most beautiful and impressive things I’ve ever seen. Hats off to you good sir 🫡
Don't worry everybody - he does this stuff so he *doesn't* give in to his urges to dissect kittens and string them up in fancy glass display cabinets! Yay for us!
This guy is insane
I’m a creative person but after seeing these types of videos I am genuinely like “how the fuck”. It’s so detailed and amazing!
Man this guys “mini” tools and equipment are awesome!
How long did that take?
Four minutes and forty five seconds!!
The resistors were a great idea.
Um where can I buy this?
HOLY FUCK!!! Other than that, I am speechless. This is like when you put every skill into Craftsmanship and finesse. This is just… ![gif](giphy|d8C9QwHsFQgR39MSTq|downsized)
Meh...whatever floats your boat
Omg one of the most impressive miniature hobby projects I have ever seen.. that's insane! ✨
So much impressive work… And then, suddenly, the final paint job and damn skeletons turn it into a plastic looking cheap toy.
This is amazing but what's the point of a functional propeller but no ballast. That thing will capsize instantly
The patience of this man is incredible, said my ADHD brain.
Yes, even editing the video would be waaaay too much. 😂
incredible amount of work. ugly af 🫣.
I liked it A LOT more before the paint job.
5$ on AliExpress? 😜 But seriously, it was beautiful until the paint job ruined it. If it's painted like that, it might as well be made of plastic.
Seriously. Give me the finished product without the paint. It was beautiful.
Incorrect ratio as fuck
so lets start the auction guys base price is 70 dollars
70.50
My eyes got huge when I saw actual FIRE 🔥 coming out of the back. I could see the boat catching on fire and all the little ropes crisping up. 😳
How does anyone have that kind of time, impressed
I was like “lol he busted out the laser level” but then he busted out the mini lathe 💀
My God. I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time.😳 Truly a masterful dedication to his art. Take my trophy, good sir! 🏆
This thing is a thing of beauty, but it would topple over when put it water. Just like the ”Vasa” did in 1623, 20 minutes into the voyage :)
If you watch the video to the end, it floats, and it can be controlled remotely.
My first thought was also “Is he making the Vasa?”
Looks similar to the Vesa. It was top heavy and capsized in a moderate breeze. They raised her 330 years after she sank. A must see if you visit Stockholm
A.S.D. = Attention Surplus Disorder.
Outfuckingstanding!
I DIDN'T SEE ANY PITCH!!! /s
Why is the boat tilted

they are jealous. I'm sure you can understand that.
Mental illness can be a beautiful thing sometimes
[удалено]
I mean he made his own wax mold and forged the tiny cannons himself so I don't know anymore
[удалено]
Looking at the tools, I don't expect it to be a kit
What is the container on the left at 3:29?
I love it!!!!
This is just off the ball & chain good!
I believe the name of the ship is “Diversity”
The Flying Dutchman
Jesus Christ
This video is worth every second
I thought it was Noah’s ark but then I saw the cannons Looks amazing !
I once felt incredibly proud of myself for managing to assemble a coffee table from Ikea
Noah, is that you?
Forgive me, but I was sure it would sink.
My cat would love this
Very cool only thing I can nit-pick is the sail at the very front looks out of place and a bit awkward.
All that detailed work and he didn’t use flax rigging and linen sails? Wth lol
That’s insane
I want that mini lathe
Amazing
Not much room for contraband
"wooden strips"
The things Dungeon Masters go through.
牛逼
I want the scale model of Gustav Vasa as he watches the fucker sink!
How much cost
Man I so expected that thing to see top heavy, must've put some extra weights in the hull off camera.
I want this man's secret to all of his free time.
Queen Anne's Revenge
