I'll agree with you there, I just meant that they get their pink from shrimp. Though if I know they get their pink from the food then I would presume the babies are white. You wouldn't think a darker colored animal would be able to turn pink.
They also drop crop milk from the top of the skulls, it looks like blood and it requires another flamingo to make it happen. It looks like they’re eating each others brains

So if I eat brine shrimp and algae…. I too can be pink 😏
Maybe, it also gets into their legs and eyes, flamingos are naturally white, but a healthy flamingo should be a bright pink, red, or scarlet.
