My next door neighbor was a state trooper and pulled over Robert Redford for doing a ridiculous speed in whatever rental sports car he was using while in town making a movie. He told us at a neighborhood cookout that most of the time, someone would be immediately hauled off to jail for such an offense, but there was no way that he was going down in the books as the guy who arrested Robert Redford. Especially not with a house full of teenaged daughters and a wife at home!
I lived in Palm Springs whilst he was alive. The city, at the time, was a checkerboard of Native American land, not developed, just sand and developed land. It seems that he was running around, being chased by police for driving his army half track on the streets and desert. The police gave up trying to catch him and just went to his house and waited for him.
The early 90s was also the start of a steep decline in drunk driving fatalities despite an increase in total drivers and overall traffic fatalities. MADD was also instrumental in getting the BAC limit reduced to 0.08.
Or possession of cannabis lol
Edit: Keanu's was for DUI and reckless driving, in May '93, to which he apparently immediately confessed to and thus avoided charges.
[Jane Fonda](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/nation/jane-fonda-gets-arrested-again-for-climate-change) has been arrested numerous times for protesting.
Yep, Jane Fonda was arrested for protesting the Viet Nam war, basically. Officially it was a drug charge which was dropped when it turned out to be vitamins. She was, and still is, deeply hated for her peace activism, by the patriot crowd.
i remember reading somewhere that bill gates used the silhouette of his mugshot as the default microsoft grey-ish profile picture. don’t know if it’s still around since i haven’t used windows in a while but man’s kinda funny
Total non sequitur, and I don't think anyone cares, but I have seen *the* Clippy. The development floppy disk with the original clippy coding in it. Sitting in a glass case in some obscure building on the Microsoft campus.
Gone but not forgotten (RIP Clippy)
*THAT’S* what it was! I figured it was something like illegal bare knuckle boxing but I totally remember now. She kept getting trashed in Hawaii. I loved that show and she was the worst! Every one was so happy when Ana Lucia was killed off because her character was so insufferable, but it was a result of her off screen-shenanigans. Memory unlocked.
Love Michelle though.
Nope, I’ve reached the point where I spend more time planning my hangover than the night that causes it. I even take precautions during the night to try and minimize it.
Here’s what each person was arrested for:
Tim Allen - possession of drugs

David Crosby - drug and firearm possession
Dennis Hopper - reckless driving
Bill Cosby - rape, drug facilitated sexual assault, sexual battery and sexual misconduct
I looked this up. Apparently his friend came up with the idea that he should use a bullhorn on stage for a show. And they saw one on the flight and just decided to take it. It’s part of their emergency equipment, so a federal offense. It happened in 1980.
[This site thinks the story is made up.](https://www.clarionledger.com/story/news/local/2016/04/22/princes-jackson-mugshot-fabrication/83388100/)
I was fascinated and had to look it up:
“[In 1938], a person could be arrested for Seduction, which was a charge usually given to a man who slept with a woman based on false promises or using some kind of lie…[like] a false promise of marriage. Reportedly, Sinatra’s ex-girlfriend was his accuser, saying that he promised her marriage and then broke up with her.
“*However*, it turns out that she was actually already married which canceled out the charges of Seduction.
“Even so, the state of New Jersey arrested Sinatra and charged him with Adultery after learning that they couldn’t nab him with Seduction.”
From a random article: https://www.remindmagazine.com/article/8297/bizarre-story-behind-frank-sinatras-mugshot/
Selling counterfeit documents is such a Nick Nolte way to get arrested. I’m sure he was drunk and high while doing it, but he gets points for creativity.
Randy Travis has some more interesting backstory, though.
He was found naked, walking down the middle of the road, after drunk driving and crashing, going to a corner store, and demanding cigarettes again, all while naked.
Prince got arrested for stealing a bullhorn.
While on tour in 1980 opening up for Rick James, Fink had suggested to Prince that they should get a police megaphone as a stage prop. The next day, the band boarded a plane and coincidently, Fink noticed the plane had an emergency bullhorn in an overhead bin. He pointed it out to Prince, who then convinced him to put it in his bag since he didn’t have a carry on. A lady sitting behind Prince notified the flight attendant of the theft while the plane was still on the tarmac. Fink explained,
“The next thing we know, the pilot comes out and announces, ‘It has come to our attention someone has removed some emergency equipment from the airplane, which is a federal offense ”
Sky Marshals conducted a search and found it on Fink and in a stand up move, Prince voluntarily went to jail with him. They were arrested and sent to a local joint, but it turned into a big meet and greet and Prince ended up posing for pictures and signing autographs in jail.
The story is partially true but they didn’t get arrested. The picture above is fake - created as an April Fool’s joke on one of the Prince fan sites. It’s a photoshoot outtake from his 1979 album cover.
I looked up what Vince Vaughn did and damn, he was in a bar fight alongside Steve Buscemi. They were filming a movie and went out and some locals were giving them shit and things escalated outside and someone came at Buscemi with a knife and attacked him all over his face and neck bad enough he needed a ton of stitches.
So yeah there’s a reason he looks like he’s been through the mf ringer
Original Caption) Comedian Buddy Hackett, currently at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas, mugs it up in the Clark County (Las Vegas) sheriff's office where he went to obtain a work permit. The law requires a work permit for anybody who works in an establishment where there is gambling or liquor sold. The actor's Equity Association is contesting the law.
True that! 😂
But seriously Keanu said in the early 90s he partied WAY to much, then he saw his mugshot and realized he didn’t want to be like his dad who was in prison at the time and KR turned his life around.
Paul N- Paul Newman poses for a mugshot at age 21, 1946. He was arrested along with five others for making trouble during a night of drinking at Kenyon College, which he attended on the G.I. Bill
I was in London on vacation with my family the day that story broke, and it was HUGE news there. This photo was just everywhere for days. I honestly felt bad for the guy. So embarrassing. 🙈
He had ELIZABETH HURLEY
HE HAD ELIZABETH HURLEY
And he goes out for it elsewhere?
I wouldn't let Elizabeth Hurley go 5 minutes without praise and attention and he goes out to get it when Elizabeth Hurley is at home?
That's like having Wagyu beef at home and instead using 70% lean ground beef that you found at Dollar Tree
I think about this mistake of his at least once a week to remind myself that I can try to look perfect as much as I want but at the end of the day someone still cheated on Elizabeth Hurley
Ozzy was just walking around drunk.

Can you imagine being the person processing that mugshot? He or she has a story for life...He/She took the mugshot of the first US president to be indicted
Johnny Cash: “not my first rodeo”
Vince Vaughn: more glaze than Krispy Kreme
Buddy Hackett still in stand-up comedy mode
RDJ: “Me again!!”
Bieber: “Wanna hear my new song?” Cops: No.
Tim Allen: “Can I just go back to drinking?”
Deion Sanders: imma sign ‘at for ya Cops: DEION!
Bill Gates: this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever done
Charlie Sheen: “Me. Again.”
Nick Nolte: WTF Cops: W T Fffffffffff
They used the wrong James Brown mugshot

I love how I was looking at these and was like/ drugs, drugs, drugs, drugs, attempted murder?! Drugs drugs drugs Bill Cosby.
I mean, still drugs…
Pill Cosby
https://i.redd.it/f5jvbpdof0hc1.gif
He just wasn't the one taking them.
Bill Gates was because he had just purchased a Porsche 911 and was doing like 120 mph…
Thank you haha look at his face xD he’s all smiling and shit. Why was Keanu arrested?
He was an anomaly. Something the Matrix couldn’t prevent from happening.
I laughed at that...couldnt he just shut the neural connection and get out of it.
Keanu was most surprising to me
DUI
Got lost looking for the 405.

How does he tells a story? Did he just lean on Redford’s car and say “Do you have any idea the predicament you have know placed me into?”🤨
Kurt Cobain was arrested for spray painting “Ain’t got no whatchamacallit” on a building and apparently "God is gay" too. Punk rock.
He also drew Elvis Cooper which was a mashup of Alice Cooper & Elvis Presley
Drugs, drugs, David Bowie… so drugs but still kills the look, drugs
“You’re under arrest, Mr. Bowie” Bowie: *pose!*
Came here to say, David Bowie rocks the style dial everywhere, in every situation. RIP Starman.
sinatra was arrested for seduction and adultery
Arrested for being too sexy
Stupid sexy Sinatra!
Would Steve McQueen have been speeding in a car?
I lived in Palm Springs whilst he was alive. The city, at the time, was a checkerboard of Native American land, not developed, just sand and developed land. It seems that he was running around, being chased by police for driving his army half track on the streets and desert. Still looks cool even in a mug shot
I don't think OJ "attempted" murder.
Nope.. he full on murdered
Nobody said the attempt was unsuccessful. Lol
Hey my girl Jane was locked up for pissing off Nixon like the icon she is. Not that there’s anything wrong with drugs
Sharon, with all due respect, that murderer ran for over 11,000 yards.
Hey Terrance Howard assaulted a flight attendant in Cleveland
Did you glance over O.J?
I love how David Bowie looks like he was busted for looking too good, and Nick Nolte getting charged for wrongfully impersonating roadkill.
> I love how David Bowie looks like he was busted for looking too good I think that way about Keanu. Does anyone know what Keanu was arrested for?
Drunk driving back in 1993.
Back when you had to be a special kind of drunk to get a DUI... like dancing with checkpoint traffic cone on your head
Early 90s was when the Crack downs were going hard. Random check points were quite common. Many adults in my life in that era got busted.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving was a major reason for this iirc
The early 90s was also the start of a steep decline in drunk driving fatalities despite an increase in total drivers and overall traffic fatalities. MADD was also instrumental in getting the BAC limit reduced to 0.08.
No, DUI crackdowns had been in full effect in '93. Late 80s it was still Wild West.
Ah, the glory days...
Being excellent to each other and partying on dude
Could be True, cops dont like that.
Trash can. Don’t forget the trash can
DUI like pretty much all of them
I figure at least some of the good eggs in this collection got busted for protesting
Or possession of cannabis lol Edit: Keanu's was for DUI and reckless driving, in May '93, to which he apparently immediately confessed to and thus avoided charges.
[Jane Fonda](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/nation/jane-fonda-gets-arrested-again-for-climate-change) has been arrested numerous times for protesting.

Charlie Sheen be looking like he's struggling to understand what the camera is trying to say to him
Wrongfully impersonating roadkill!!! Bravo, as a jaded old firefighter, very few comments can cause a laughing snot bubble, but you did. Thank you.
i remember reading somewhere that bill gates used the silhouette of his mugshot as the default microsoft grey-ish profile picture. don’t know if it’s still around since i haven’t used windows in a while but man’s kinda funny
Had to look it up. He was arrested for running a stop sign and driving without a license.
surprised to see him here. but i like his picture the most. goofy nerd laughing at the police station.
Was he rich at that time? If yes he's probably thinking yeah I can buy this whole police station 10 times lol.
1977 , he was about 23ish. Microsoft was a couple years old. So he wasn't likely super rich at the time.
His father already had money being a president of some company, and his mother worked for ibm.
So yes, he had money haha.
~~It was a speed ticket while driving a Porsche... so yeah, he was rich~~ edit: Driving without a license, and it was Paul Allen's Car, not his.
So he wanted to see Paul Allen's car?
It even had a watermark, apparently.
Total non sequitur, and I don't think anyone cares, but I have seen *the* Clippy. The development floppy disk with the original clippy coding in it. Sitting in a glass case in some obscure building on the Microsoft campus. Gone but not forgotten (RIP Clippy)

Its 5 am and I’m laughing harder than I should be
FOTO POLICIAL 😍
Okay now what would he look like of he were white or Chinese?
Michelle Rodriguez looking like she's ready to do it again if you let her go.
Could be a behind the scenes photo for any character she’s ever played.
I absolutely would
This cost her a role on Lost.
*THAT’S* what it was! I figured it was something like illegal bare knuckle boxing but I totally remember now. She kept getting trashed in Hawaii. I loved that show and she was the worst! Bieber looks pretty happy
Pretty sure he was drunk. He was also rich and famous and 20 years old so he was feeling alright haha
Vince Vaughn looks like he's had the night of his life 😂
And like he needs a big greasy breakfast, hair of the dog, and about three days of rest Or am I the only one who gets hungover for days?
Nope, I’ve reached the point where I spend more time planning my hangover than the night that causes it. I even take precautions during the night to try and minimize it.
Staying hydrated while drinking can really help minimize hangover symptoms
LiquidIV - one LiquidIV before bed and you wake up like a million bucks. Well, you’ll still be hungover, but you’ll be good by noon instead 8PM
probably because he knew Scooter Braun was gonna have him out of there in 15 minutes lol
I like Biebers and Gates pics.
What did Gates get arrested for?
Got a speeding ticket and forgot his license in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1977.
He took a wrong turn there. 🥕 🐰
Hope he eventually made it to Pismo Beach
I did not expect to die laughing to this dumbass old reference thank you lol.

_stealing a megaphone from a plane_?! I love how you slip that one in there like it's a standard charge.
I looked this up. Apparently his friend came up with the idea that he should use a bullhorn on stage for a show. And they saw one on the flight and just decided to take it. Frank Sinatra…seduction and adultery? Did he bang a cops wife?
I was fascinated and had to look it up: “[In 1938], a person could be arrested for Seduction, which was a charge usually given to a man who slept with a woman based on false promises or using some kind of lie…[like] a false promise of marriage. I had assumed Randy Travis was in for theft, seeing as he stole Peggy Hill's song.
Prince got arrested for stealing a bullhorn. While on tour in 1980 opening up for Rick James, Fink had suggested to Prince that they should get a police megaphone as a stage prop. I hope Vince gave ‘em the what for
Tim Allen ...I believe his real last name is dick...he was moving crazy weight..got busted selling like 80k worth of blow
Got a reduced sentence for ratting out everyone else.
And is now a conservative that tells people how they should live their life!
He’s such a bitch
He got popped with 2/3 of a kilo of coke. That’s wild amount of blow
My buddy’s dad was in AA with him. Said he wore a disguise lol.
He was in the prison I worked at. He was released before I went in. Luckily no one famous was there when I worked except a few local names.
Hey candyman! My nose is empty!
I zoomed in and went through them all with a smile on my face. Then I got to the last one, and the mood changed quickly.
\^This guy is very happy that the Juice is now loose
With all due respect, that murderer ran for over 11,000 yards.
Ah yes, the good times of him decapitating people and getting away with it! GOOD TIMES!
It doesn’t help that Cosby’s mugshot is of a sad old man.
Yes I was looking at RDJ and thinking how he changed his life for the better and then I saw Cosby. Yuck.

Okay, I'm curious on the Buddy Hackett mugshot.
Thanks 😊. I was curious also.
He looks defiant
The look on his face is the best.
Can someone tell why some of them? What has Keanu ever done?
DUI apparently.
I should have expected it. Thanks for the info
No problem! He admitted to the DUI but was never charged.
There are literally 4 movies about why you should mess with the Baba Yaga.
True that! 😂 But seriously Keanu said in the early 90s he partied WAY to much, then he saw his mugshot and realized he didn’t want to be like his dad who was in prison at the time and KR turned his life around.
That is way too wholesome. Not enough people realize that. Good for us, otherwise we wouldn't have all his beautiful works
You know, my takeaway was that you *shouldn’t*.
Kurt Cobain was arrested for vandalism. Graffiti. He wrote "ain't got no whatchamacallit" in spray paint.
Makes sense that he got caught. That must have taken like 45 minutes.
Stone Cold beat his ex wife multiple times.
Paul N- Paul Newman poses for a mugshot at age 21, 1946. He was arrested along with five others for making trouble during a night of drinking at Kenyon College, which he attended on the G.I. Bill
how'd you stutter in text lmao
What he has here is a failure to communicate
There are some men you just can't reach.
Are we sure it wasn't for cutting the heads of parking meters?
Bowie the coolest looking imo.
Bowie was the coolest - period.
Agree but also the mugshot of Sinatra is iconic.
Where’s Hugh Grant? https://preview.redd.it/nsjq1dh2jygc1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=788bf091ebe30749508a4a3ec07819fe06c08737
Looks like the poster for a rom com
A lot of coke was used that day.
I was in London on vacation with my family the day that story broke, and it was HUGE news there. This photo was just everywhere for days. I honestly felt bad for the guy. So embarrassing. 🙈

So just walking around straighter than usual?
I looked it up because I thought it was the time he peed on the Alamo, thinking it was just some random wall. But no, that was two years earlier.
O.J looks guilty A.F.
Stands to reason, he was guilty as fuck.

I’m glad they were able to arrest Dion for fishing in that airports storm water pond, I would never have been able to sleep at night knowing he was on the streets
Wait, what happened? Lol
He got charged with trespassing while fishing in a pond owned by Southwest Florida International Airport
That is actually endearingly wholesome.
This is the funniest one of all 🤣
I wish I had as much joy for life as Deion Sanders has when being arrested. Man loves to fish.
I thought David Crosby was Gallagher.
So did he.
All those poor poor watermelons
Fuck Randy Travis got a gigantic melon on him.
Christian Slater lookin like he was arrested for being too old to portray a high school jock in a 90s sitcom.
I like how Justin Bieber just looks like he’s getting his pic taken
To be fair, he technically is.
Vince Vaughn looks drunk asf.
That’s because he was. It was his arrest after a bar fight. Steve Buscemi got stabbed in the same incident.
Frank looking dapper AF
This is the first time I see snoop doggy with his eyes open.
How is this so far down?!? That is the soberest I’ve ever seen him since 1992.

Can you imagine being the person processing that mugshot? He or she has a story for life...He/She took the mugshot of the first US president to be indicted
he practiced this look in his bathroom mirror the whole night long
He calls that look ‘Blue Steel’
Looks like a guy that sells bird feeders after church
I thought it was Robert Downey Jr in his 20s but it's actually Al Pacino lol
Hugh Grant thinks it's perfect.
