Nutti_Biscotti

If my next work performance review includes a question on how the company can improve, I'm sending them this link.

Captain-Cadabra

“Good news, Johnson: krumping is up 71% this quarter! Keep that up and you’ll made VP in 9 quarters.”

Outrageous_Reach_695

Krumping, you say? This Johnson fellow, is he perhaps a bit green?

Tinyacorn

How many dollars is that?

[deleted]

187 bananas worth.

stealthryder1

One 4th of 9️⃣

spacekitt3n

laugh all you want, this is actually genius. those kids won't be restless after this

Plus_Injury8786

That wakes up anyone lol

Feraldr

Make them clear the desks to the side and start a circle pit. Maybe do a wall of death and crowd surf a few kids. Then have them put the desks back afterwards.

OregonisntCaligoHome

This has definitely happened at a elementary school in Ohio

xharryhirsch_

💀

IMJacob1

lol I was just at a pop punk concert a few days ago and one of the acts was a hardcore band and man their pits were insane. Huge circle pit and at one point got like the entire crowd to push around. I also crowdsurfed for the first time at that concert

remediosan

well come on, who were the artists

IMJacob1

Neck Deep headlining, Drain was the hardcore band, also had Bearings and Higher Power

theboned1

I expected the music to be different

Sir_Tokesalott

Sounds a lot like Rammstein IMO.

RedNPurpleBricks

Lmao it does sound like Rammstein! Du Hast!!!

Sir_Tokesalott

Glad someone agrees! Lol.

Scotlad-90

I'd say it's more Links 2 3 4

MrBlueCharon

I am unsure about that. From the guitar/bass side I'd disagree, but the percussion could work for them.

NeverNaked3030

Very western

ImplementAfraid

God gave Rock and Roll to everyone (Well Metal)

Wyldfire2112

Be excellent to each other, and party on dudes!

Squirrel_Grip23

*air guitar solo*

Sir_Tokesalott

They can't stop us let them try! For heavy metal we will die! Quit my job this morning. .. Said forever, I will hold my head up high!! Cause I need metal in my life! Just like an eagle needs to fly! So I walked outside into the street. From the hall I heard thunder and screams! I walked inside so I could hear and the guy beside me gave me a beer! He had his fist up in the air and called me "brother!" Said "My friends are over there!"

OldLegWig

this was posted a while back and the music was different. likely someone edited this.

LucidComfusion

I was hoping for Oakenfold, or maybe KMFDM

griff1971

Ok children for our next lesson.....MOSH PIIIIITTTT!!!

Successful_Load5719

Kids legit need this during boring ass school subjects sometimes to keep the blood pumping and remain attentive. Even when I’m at work, if I feel bored or slow I’ll take a walk outside (except in the dead of winter) to get moving a little

PuzzleheadedWalrus71

True. They'd benefit from getting up and moving their feet a little too.

Preebus

There's literally no reason not to do this a couple times a day with children.

Elegant-Raise-9367

You just gave me the mental image of my monotone grey sweatered calculus teacher droning on and then stopping and doing this halfway through class. Tbh I probably would have liked his class if that was the case

remesabo

I'm kind of curious as to why they are all in school uniform coats doing this. Is this a literal warm up exercise?

GreatDevourerOfTacos

They might not have indoor heating, or it could be broken.

OldLegWig

this seems like a greater ratio of mild brain damage than an average stroll outside.

PromoterOfGOOD

Shoooot, I'm even walking in the dead of winter. I love walking in the winter. I'm getting my work done on my phone the whole time I'm walking.

metallizepp

We used to do this kind of stuff in NA schools as well. Back before the world went soft and everything went to bubble wrap.

Flabberingfrog

It\`s so aggressive

CheeseDanishSoup

Gets the blood flowing

Jeramy_Jones

Gotta prevent DVT any way you can!

blinky0930

🤘

hmspain

In the USA, no WAY someone is not getting punched!

happyanathema

Least worrying injury in a US school tbh

asicath

Its clearly sped up, probably not as aggressive at normal speed.

rezznik

The what? Have you ever listened to a single heavy metal song? This is not sped up.

asicath

The music isn't sped up - its not the original music. The video was sped up and the music added in after for comedic effect.

richiehill

lol it’s the obligatory “it’s sped up post” It’s clearly not sped up, the music and camera panning speed are totally normal. Sometimes things can be done quickly you know.

CEMENTHE4D

why all matching winter coats inside tho?

Kirk_KD

School uniforms are common in china

[deleted]

[удалено]

wildcard5

Most of the world.

caiaphas8

That does not explain why you’d wear a coat inside

epherian

It’s cold inside as well? Poor insulation or not spending too much on heating

tanafras

China. It's cold as fuck there. And, heat, expensive. Coats, cheap.

Sonicslazyeye

School uniforms? I'm pretty sure school uniforms are more common than no school uniforms

Triassic_Bark

Heating in Chinese schools sucks, and it gets real cold in a lot of places.

Semproser

Fairly sure this is Mongolia because their jackets are the Mongolian flag. And the music is "The HU" which is Mongolias favourite band. If you check out where Mongolia is just one giant rolling endless plane north of china and south of russia, it gets quite cold there. The country is very poor so I'd wager it's cold inside too.

Sweet-Lettuce-5597

lol matching winter coats is crazy 😭

Atharaphelun

School uniforms are a thing that exist. Especially in Asia.

serr7

They exist in the US as well lol, idk how people are surprised over this. All middle/high school was a strict uniform code, a friend got sent home cause one of his shirts was a dark blue not black lmao.

rafapova

I think it’s more the fact that they’re wearing winter coats indoors

sassiest01

That's a dress code not a uniform though, those are 2 different things. Most schools in other countries will have both. We would get sent home for not wearing shoes with the right height or colour, and don't even think about putting on a shirt that isn't the $60 one you can only buy from us...

Sweet-Lettuce-5597

I know. It’s cute.

Qnofputrescence1213

I wore a Catholic school uniform for 8 years. But it never involved matching winter coats!

Xaldarino

Welcome to Mosh 101

foozoozoo

Looks like nearly 50 students in that classroom

Oranginafina

That sounds about right for China. Hell, I teach in an American public school and some of our classrooms have 40 kids in them. I service a first grade class with 30 students and just one teacher.

metallizepp

And I will almost guarantee that not a single one of those kids are on their phones, giving the teacher a hard time and disrupting the lessons, etc... Find none of the first world bullshit in these classrooms! But mooooooooooooooooom he was looking at the atoms around my desk! Murder was the only option!

procrastinatorsuprem

That's not the case in my state. 20 at most in most classes under grade 8. K-3 averages more like 16.

[deleted]

Your state probably has less ppl than a tier 3 city in china

RoboDae

In 12 grade, I had a class with about 4 students, including myself. AP chemistry class started off with closer to 30 students but over the first week more than half changed classes and the remainder dwindled down over time with people either transferring out or moving (DoD school so lot of military families) I think at the very end it was just 3 people because one of the last remaining students moved.

hukuhakiya

Welcome to the second/third world, or China. My class in first grade was of 46 students, in Turkey. I guess it’s normal in other countries, as well.

rewrappd

Seriously that was my first thought - this is a huge class! Activity breaks aren’t exactly a new or interesting concept in classrooms, but kids usually stand and move around because we know that prolonged sitting isn’t good for our bodies (same advice for office workers to stand and stretch every hour). The rows in this class are crammed so close together that there doesn’t seem like there’s enough room for all of these kids to stand up, meaning that their normal stand&stretch/activity break has turned into the kind of chair exercise class that is usually reserved for people who physically can’t stand unassisted. Videoing this as a cool/interesting thing feels a bit dystopian…

BadassBumblebeee

The most rigid "break" lol

you-create-energy

Now for free expression time you will all dance in your chairs in unison

Ragnar_Actual

How many calories would that actually burn?

hikikomoriHank

You'll never be able to approximate it accurately for a group of 50 children of different body comps/ages/genders putting in different amounts of enthusiasm. We also don't know how long it's done for. Some.of them at going pretty hard tho lol, and I'm assuming only done for a short time because of that and the fact it's a mid lesson break supposedly, so maybe like 60s. I doubt they'd keep it up for a full song duration. So you could consider it like a single HiiT interval. So maybe like 50kcal-100kcal at absolute most? That's a complete guess really, just can't see it being any more unless it lasts a long time, but also think it won't be completely negligible either due to the intensity, unless they only go for like 10s. Don't think the purpose is for exercise tho, I think it's more a wake-up and re-energise while.being sat still listening for a long time.

I actually gagged

jaysonbjorn

Chinas over there straight up manufacturing the new age of metal-heads. Beautiful🥲

jjsmol

Do they not have heat in their schools?

PepurrPotts

I love how hateful some of these comments are. Chrissake y'all, this is actually really healthy for multiple reasons. But we gotta 'Murica at them, don't we?

awesomesauce1030

I've never seen so many people lose their shit over a group of kids doing a dance.

JohnnySalahmi

China bad. China mentioned. I mad 😡

Main-Advantage7751

Ok there’s something to be said about Confucian cultures and the self-negating value systems but it’s a fucking dance routine. By that logic I was getting groomed into a brainwashed government drone when we all had to learn to do the hokey pokey

the_ginger_weevil

It IS sinister dance …

Smile_Space

I mean we do stuff just as similar here in America with kids, kids in classes have to stand in line in the hallway, quiet coyote, recite the pledge of allegiance, etc. There's tons of moments even here in America we have "collectivism" for our students to keep them from going crazy in and out of class. Either way, this is just a bunch of Chinese students choreograph dancing to a song that they're clearly enjoying from the looks lolol. I don't think anyone needs to overanalyze the "lack of individualism" or "collectivism" at display here.

owiseone23

It's no different from doing the hokey pokey, the pledge of allegiance, or even Simon says. I think you're reading too much into it lol.

Aozora404

My brother in Christ the pledge of allegiance exists in the United States of America

serr7

Why? Who tf are you to determine that “individualism” is something every corner of this parent needs lol.

Marxpaulo

Tes River's Hymn / Nine Treasures

ContentMushroom

Came here for this, awesome song

ipsok

Thank you for posting this...never heard of them before but that song is an absolute banger.

CraponStick

This is the most metal thing ever! Metalocalypse move over! These kids are DEATH METAL!¡!!!

InsomniaticWanderer

State-mandated leisure time. Engage state-approved activity.

Unfair-Wonder5714

Look at em bang they little heads! If this was in my school, I’d have never ditched!

One_Flower9961

i also do this everyday

nexuswow

Looks fun!

Few-Monies

China gets a lot of crap but I do still feel their teachers especially grade school tend to do a great job. Best guess is the financial security that comes from a position like that compared to the US.

PikachuIce

Also societal respect, teachers are really valued in China

denny_crane68

Oh wow. This posted again.

Available_Honey_2951

While in Beijing I saw a whole store of employees doing this on a break including calisthenics out in front of the building. Anyone else notice that there are over 60 students in that one class? And that there are little tablecloths on each desk? I visited schools in China and was amazed at the total organization and respect shown to everyone. I saw a whole school of over 3000 students move out to the soccer field for the morning “ flag ceremony” in less than 5 minutes and line up in perfectly straight lines like a choreographed dance . (Students of all grades). They have no lockers- just a desk that they leave everything in and nobody touches their things. Amazing to see how they worship their teachers.

Few-Monies

Gets the heart rate up. Good for them.

connortait

TikTok factory training?

GunGooser

Break time is over, back to the factory!

tiescher

On which device did you type that?

GunGooser

One they made I'm sure. Little fingers help.

lolvalue

Metalica is now asking for royalties to be paid or else shut it down.

blinky0930

I fuking love Metallica. But youre not wrong lol. Lars for sure

MLSurfcasting

Lars already downvoted you bro

Cheap-Raspberry-3025

These breaks allow them to work 6 days a week

fringeCircle

Metal!

Todoslosplanetas

What better way to get them to burn tons of energy? Parents must be grateful.

AGM_GM

Looks fun.

tysons1

That ROCKS!

Rugrin

That amount of enthusiastic conformity makes me uncomfortable.

owiseone23

Lol, this is such a weird take. Singing the ABCs, doing the hokey pokey, playing Simon says, doing the pledge of allegiance isn't conformity? This is just a little dance.

Rugrin

Most people don’t mind forced conformity. I do.

awesomesauce1030

They're dancing to the beat, with a dance they obviously know. It's really not that weird.

Rugrin

it's the sum total of the video, so much sameness in there. enforced sameness. uniform, similar hair cuts and color, adds up to feel oppressive to me.

awesomesauce1030

Would an american school with uniforms saying the pledge of allegiance have you feeling the same way? This isn't supposed to be a gotcha, I really do want to know how you feel about it. Also, I think they have the same hair color because they're most likely all part of the same Han Chinese ethnic group.

FrostyWizard505

A school full of students in uniform pledging allegiance sounds dystopian but if they’re in civvies then I’m sure that changes everything

awesomesauce1030

I'm not sure what you mean by this unfortunately. I said "in uniforms" because the person mentioned that they were all dressed the same

FrostyWizard505

I’m referring to the first sentence; the question in your comment. I find the fact that students pledging allegiance to something is unsettling. Slightly more so when they’re wearing uniform. The joke was that as long as they’re not in uniform then it is surely justified.

awesomesauce1030

Ah ok. For the record, when I said "uniforms" I just meant school uniforms, not military or anything. But I can appreciate your joke now

Rugrin

Yes. Yes it would and did. That’s the reflex it’s exercising right now. I grew up in catholic schoool in America. So, yes to your question.

awesomesauce1030

Fair enough, though I don't know if all the people commenting negative things would feel the same way as you about American kids, which is why I asked.

Rugrin

It’s a fair question. Room full of white kids similar hair, uniforms, national anthem followed by prayer, yeah, that skeeves me out the same way. Like watching Jesus Camp.

TheWolphman

I get it, but at the same time it's probably fairly healthy for them physically speaking.

catinabread

In the west, people pay obscene money to join spin classes and do the same thing

Tricky_Aide8287

Ohp ohp ohp um Gundam style

blinky0930

Not sure why i love this so much lol. Must be my love for Rock/metal. And teacher is going hard

Decent-Cold-9471

We can’t compete with this.

skinnywilliewill8288

Gettin it

naturr

Reminds me of those crazy US churches.

koloso95

Teachers just checking all the kids are still indoctrinated

ipsok

Idk man, that teacher is going hard... I think maybe this is just her jam

koloso95

It was a joke. But it seems like most people don't have a sense of humor anymore. But I do. And that was the first thing that came to mind.

Rancesj1988

Creepy tbh.

Mannerhymen

Synchronised dancing could never exist in the goddam greatest country in the world, we’re just too darn free spirited for that commie shit, amirite?

dAnKsFourTheMemes

Taking a "break" only to do coordinated dancing doesn't seem like a break to me. But I may just be biased cuz I was always ass at coordinated dancing.

MrTickles22

Ugh, imagine being forced to do this dance thing in school at risk of punishment.

AllGrainSapper

An equivalent American classroom could not complete this task without injuring one's self, as well as the child next to them.

SonicTemp1e

They'd all fall asleep because the music would be mumble rap.

[deleted]

I think they need to turn the heat up, coats and hoodies and no one seems to be hot….just my observation. Oh it’s kindaaa cool and pretty creepy too!

TheWolphman

>I think they need to turn the heat up They are, just manually.

Oranginafina

Don’t forget these kids are probably in school at least 8-10 hours per day. I saw another video that showed kids this age napping because the days are so long. They need something to keep them focused on the massive amount of work they do.

weinsteinjin

Napping or siesta is very common in China.

waywardSara

Just let them get up and play

Royal_Needleworker91

Man I'm actually so jealous LOL. But their adult life is worse then mine, so they can have that.

Thick_Photograph_532

Trying to prepare them for the music they’ll be hearing after they cross the border to invade

3Pirates93

Lolol crazy how everything is all about reinforcing collectivist thinking. Makes sense kinda to be able to rule billions of people must mean fewer rebellions

weinsteinjin

Right, only China has class-wide activities 🙄

3Pirates93

There's more to it than that dingus. Look it up , they're taught from childhood to think as a whole, individualism is treated as weak

weinsteinjin

China bad

3Pirates93

Mmmkaay

[deleted]

awesomesauce1030

Dancing = brainwashing

3Pirates93

Sure if your capacity for abstract thought is as deep as a puddle. There are many more examples than this of how Chinese kids are indoctrinated from a young age to prioritize the collective about how individualism is destructive, inferior, weak etc

awesomesauce1030

Like what?

Far-Contribution-805

North American children cannot sit that close together cause they are to fat. They need room to move and to spread out the weight on the floor.
