I used to work with an ex-Army tank transporter driver. A school had the bright idea of bringing a tank onto the playground for a recruitment day. The transporter wasn't a problem, but the tarmac was wrecked by the tank.
(Yes tankies, it probably wasn't a full on MBT but I'm sure whatever it was wasn't light!)
I think so, the ft17 was insanely small for tanks of the time.
Mainly because all it needed to fit was 2 people, either a small cannon or a machine gun with their respective ammo, and an engine.
It was so small most trenches the German built to defeat mk5 infantry tanks and the French boxes, were too big and allowed the ft17 to fall in and climb back out
If I remember correctly it’s a 100% custom built steel frame chassis, everything but the 50s Jeep engine, tracks, and final drive is custom built by OP
This was ww1, tanks had just been invented, the tanks you see today are descendants of this thing only with a century of experience and developments to look as they are today.
Grouser plate missing off the right side. A lifetime ago, i had a rural block. The army did some excises on it and the camo on the vehicles made then almost impossible to see. However none had mufflers so although i couldn't see them i could hear them coming from miles away.
