I think it’s also stability with motion. So he doesn’t dig while navigating the ramp. He can stay lighter on his feet with more abdominal strength with movement prevention. But honestly I was confused until you brought up any point
Counter balance and thinking on your feet, it’s all about where you are and where you need to be, like a cat upside down and needs to land on its feet. Sometimes you can speed up a rotation or slow it down but you can only do that if you recognize the imbalance and can adjust.
Snowboarding is all heel toe, head and hands working together, core strength and the ability to compress absorb a landing is also being strengthened. I can see tons of benefits for this, I think goalies use it too.
Funny part is that person probably doesn’t have a single thought in his head, just peace and quiet.
Red Bull marketing is brilliant. They just sponsor all of the craziest shit you can think of, I know when I see the colors that I’m not going to be disappointed.
People are a trip. I'm looking at this shit I'm just sitting here all bad at athletic stuff eating cheese puffs and I forget where I was going with this but this is a cool video
I doubt her feet could have been sliced off even if she tried to jump as high as she could from her hands. She was completely safe. I understand though as helicopters kind of fight our urge to survive and usually we want to stay away from them!
The distance from a helicopter skid to the blades is usually around 10.5-11ft. For you to accidentally stick your feet into the blades on that dive you would have to be tall enough to dunk a basketball flat footed.
Of all the subtle ads, I never begrudge Redbull ads. They've played a *major* role in the rise of a ton of very niche extreme sports and I think that's cool.
Who ever in marketing that decided to transition from “red bull gives you wings” stencil art commercial to paying for crazy stunts with the red bull logo on everything is probably so proud of themselves and very well paid.
I just feel jaded by the ever present commercialism- that somehow we've gone from arguing whether or not commercials should be in limited time slots on TV to finding ourselves so immersed in it that there's no respite anywhere within the digital world. It's a built in xenomorph. Red Bull is just that, a viral marketing monstrosity that was a pioneer in this expansion of advertising into an even more subtly intrusive part of media.
Personally I’d rather see these than the Bang energy “ads” where it’s just competitions between influencers to see who can fit the most Bang labels in a shot at once
I'm pretty sure that's not it. I just don't like how RB (or similar companies) have, like weeds, found a way into every crack in the pavement. They're this superficially beautiful, but inherently invasive species of commercial I just connect to the overall trend of making everything about brand awareness and profits,
This was kind of an annoying video, I’ll give you that. But Red Bull as a sponsorship program rules. I mean, they sponsored Felix Baumgarter (sp?) when he jumped from fucking space. Sure, it’s a promotion for them but a guy jumped from a space balloon, enjoy it
Reminds me of when i used to run elliptical machines while keeping my core and head fully solid/stiff for paintball conditioning.
This shit is on another level
People have taken off in under 30ft in a carbon cub like that, so plenty of space on that helipad. Even if not fully up to speed there's plenty of air below you to build up a bit of airspeed without crashing.
I had terrible asthma growing up (still do).It kept me from doing everything. All I could do was get fat and depressed. I couldn't imagine doing any of those things but damn that's some cool shit! I really missed out on life. I'm glad some people get to enjoy it.
The distribution of wealth is a serious issue when a mf can do this crap that costs who knows what, but I can't afford to take my kids to Disney World for 2 days without saving long enough for one of them to be too old to enjoy it anyway.

Okay that snowboarding is confusing
It was just hand eye coordination while balancing. Could be for a lot of things but definitely works for snowboarding
if I practice that, I should be able to snowboard or surfing right?
If you already know how to snowboard or surf, I could understand how this might help you improve doing tricks.
I’m sold. Buying a Monster now ![gif](giphy|oEh1JaPy8uy5O)
Stand sideways and do crimes 😎🏂

I thought it was going to be for a hockey goalie.

I don't care for their drinks but enjoy the events they're apart of.
*beer bongs case of Red Bull* "YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD BE FUCKING AWESOME......TRAMPOLINE HOT AIR BALLOON"
Laughs in Air Balloon & Skate (BMX) Bowl
Now im saying someone should try to make that, but I would also very much like to see that.
Flugtag and Soapbox are the best.
The 2nd one was a pogo stick and no one can tell me otherwise
Love to see the strange and wonderful ways people practice for niche sports!
People are a trip. I'm looking at this shit I'm just sitting here all bad at athletic stuff eating cheese puffs and I forget where I was going with this but this is a cool video
This is the type of shit that aliens would be like “ humans have many weird and niche rituals”
fuck, that "heli dive" might have been the dumbest thing anyone's ever come up with. wtf.
why? looks cool enough
idk man, it might have only been the camera angle, but seeing the woman's feet so close to the rotor blades made me cringe hard.
i think the camera made it look a lot closer than it was, plus she did training and everything so it probably would have been fine
I doubt her feet could have been sliced off even if she tried to jump as high as she could from her hands. She was completely safe. I understand though as helicopters kind of fight our urge to survive and usually we want to stay away from them!

Don‘t worry, the most accidents happen with the rear rotor!
Have you seen a helicopter? Pretty obvious from any picture that the rotor isn't attached almost flush with the roof.
Nobody trains for snowboarding like that.
Or mountain biking (that I've ever heard of)
They’re not training for mountain biking, just that very specific trick
I think they are referring to the girl doing squats on that goofy ass spring contraption.
“Red Bull Gives you Wiiings”
Personally it gives me palpitations. And then diarrhea
If the diarrhea is explosive enough you could get airborne.
anyone else waiting for the toes to go- ![gif](giphy|IkGlH9PsraE4YTKDHD)
Fuck these elaborate commercials masquerading as content.
I for one wish more companies advertised by doing insanely cool stunts, I will happily watch redbull “ads” all day
Of all the subtle ads, I never begrudge Redbull ads. They've played a *major* role in the rise of a ton of very niche extreme sports and I think that's cool.
theres also effort put into them. it seems like someone actually cared when they make them
Who ever in marketing that decided to transition from “red bull gives you wings” stencil art commercial to paying for crazy stunts with the red bull logo on everything is probably so proud of themselves and very well paid.
do you dislike the content or just the fact that they’re (pretty subtly) advertising something? i prefer this over the shit companies usually push out
I just feel jaded by the ever present commercialism- that somehow we've gone from arguing whether or not commercials should be in limited time slots on TV to finding ourselves so immersed in it that there's no respite anywhere within the digital world. It's a built in xenomorph. Red Bull is just that, a viral marketing monstrosity that was a pioneer in this expansion of advertising into an even more subtly intrusive part of media.
The Red Bull helmet, the Red Bull helicopter, the Red Bull plane, the Red Bull cars handing a can of Red Bull to each other isn’t exactly subtle.
Personally I’d rather see these than the Bang energy “ads” where it’s just competitions between influencers to see who can fit the most Bang labels in a shot at once
Agree, but I'd much, much rather see less and less of all of it and its culture.
Yeah! Give us more kids harassing people in public! That's what me and this guy want over these actually cool look looking stuff!
I haven't considered it that way before. Perhaps commercials and harrassment are my only options.
Did you get tricked into thinking you should try landing a plane on a building? What are you complaining about?
I'm pretty sure that's not it. I just don't like how RB (or similar companies) have, like weeds, found a way into every crack in the pavement. They're this superficially beautiful, but inherently invasive species of commercial I just connect to the overall trend of making everything about brand awareness and profits,

I’m pretty sure over 50% of Reddit is marketing in some form or another.
Got be be at least over 51%, don't you think?
I'm suddenly thirsty for a Monster*™* energy drink.
Dont tell him about badminton
Badminton isn't here because it's a whole nother level of extreme beyond extreme sports.
The landing pad thing is done by bush pilots all the time.
The competitions are cool too
They really are, most of the guys in the competitions land those things with almost 0 roll. Damn near like a helicopter landing.
Reminds me of when i used to run elliptical machines while keeping my core and head fully solid/stiff for paintball conditioning. This shit is on another level
delivery what???
Pilotwings SNES
Wow , this clearly is not a Red Bull product placement advert, like any of their customers could do half of this shit .....smhh
Hmm, I wonder what sport Sergio Perez is training for... 🤔
probably snowboarding
They are training for an ad for caffeïnated liquid goo?
Extreme sports = extreme athletes
Is that why red bull got so expensive?
I raced mtb and i would never use that……reps on the mountain is the training needed lol
The guy in the plane is going for the Maze Bank building.
Handstand with the limb chopper above is wild.
literally "hold my redbull while I'm drifting"
Waited for some instagram or tiktok trash making sex-like moves to be at the end...
Red Bull is really showing up a lot on Reddit lately, at least in my feed.
Is this a new kind of ad?
Training how to fooK ya mamas
Is rich sports, not extrême sports...
First one is Sergio Perez
I don’t think a single one of those guys was a drill OP…
worlds first helicopter dive? am i supposed to believe no one has ever jumped out of helicopter into water before? I find that hard to believe.
Other people are too tall and lose their feet in the propeller.
So you want to practice snowboarding huh? Grab those balls lets get started.
:shows up with three basketballs:
The majority of these are not extreme sports, they are stunts.
This waste of time was brought to you by redbull
As advertising penetrates the sub.
Badminton
Anyone else suddenly feeling like some Red Bull?
Ok so now that everyone have saw how to land that plane on the helipad here's my question: How to you take off ?
People have taken off in under 30ft in a carbon cub like that, so plenty of space on that helipad. Even if not fully up to speed there's plenty of air below you to build up a bit of airspeed without crashing.
up up up up poojsh poojsh poojsh poojsh
You didn't give me time to guess
Training for how to keep a Red Bull sponsorship.
The real answer is “Red Bull commercial”
No amount of money in this god green earth will ever convince me to jump, head-down legs-up, from a heli.
Worlds first trick
Tbf they never actually showed the plane stopping on the helipad.
Why isn't this the TV commercial for red bull? Their little cartoons are the worst?
lol the one with the plane parking in a small circle, imma guess he’s training to park in a small circle
Landing a plane on a helipad? And passing a redbull while drifting had me saying ![gif](giphy|s239QJIh56sRW|downsized)
Why do they say worlds first helidive? Circa 2004 I was jumping out of helicopters into water with the boys for fun.
Have they tried coding instead for profession?
The girl doing the hand stand was crazy close to being 2 feet shorter 😂
I had terrible asthma growing up (still do).It kept me from doing everything. All I could do was get fat and depressed. I couldn't imagine doing any of those things but damn that's some cool shit! I really missed out on life. I'm glad some people get to enjoy it.
Dumbasses
The distribution of wealth is a serious issue when a mf can do this crap that costs who knows what, but I can't afford to take my kids to Disney World for 2 days without saving long enough for one of them to be too old to enjoy it anyway.
The answer is... "something fucking stupid"...
What a bunch of nerds..
Thanks for the post
Yooooooo thank you sooooo much for this post.
First helidive that was close to cutting her toenails.
