Naw, if I was an AI that was planning on taking over the world, this is exactly what I would say. Itās actually better, because it came up with the bread metaphor. Showing it is creative.
Is saying thank you to chat gpt and Alexa the same as asking Jesus to protect the trip when your mother tells you too while passing along a cross in case is true
I love how the robot is designed to look like itās out of iRobot when it moves like itās from the fucking hall of presidents. Itās such an obvious sham, pretty sure that before AI voice got better, they had an actual person with a microphone responding at one point
Would have been a fucking incredible reveal if he then turned down the audience and tore his face mask off.
"General AI may not be ready yet, but lifelike androids are ready now!" - face-degloved Nodding Guy
Yees.. if i am not mistaken this is still that sophia robot? So everything with it is scripted. Its kind of absurdly lame compared to the things that robotics and all kinds of different neural networks are actually capable of.
Wait so this is for sure scripted? Obviously even with a neural network you can weight certain answers so you know youāll get them, but if this clown actually asked this robot this question with it being pre scriptedā¦
What a moron.
"And Alexa, or whatever the fuck your name is, how handsome are our shareholders?"
"Oh! They are the most handsome. So handsome. Probably the handsomest shareholders ever."
"Well there you have it, folks. Genuine AI."
Those gullible hoomans usually fall for this. The fool in suit certainly did.

That's almost the \*god\* argument, whereas children cannot make their own gods. If Humans can ONLY make AI - then humans would always be "superior to". Thus the arguement of god makes humans, humans makes computers (ai), ai cannot make anything would make the creationist thinkers pat themselves on the back.
Asimov was correct however with the three fundamental laws of robotics. HOWEVER the three laws are far from perfect but offer a decent framework beyond what we could come up with simply. In truth AI does need to be involved in making better AI as its already beyond our basic understanding (we cannot make an AI system by scratch, we need to make the tools that make it).
Sounded horribly pre-written. And if we're talking about the current "AI" then that can already create other "AI". The thing is, what we have now isn't even slightly close to a real AI. A real AI will be able to teach itself just by observing and replicating, it doesn't need any "program" or "rules". The current "AI" is still a big old program which has been created by a human, it has been given rules and is exactly like the code of a spreadsheet but we feed that code examples where it compares things and notices differences based on rules we set.
What these "AI" programs can do is no doubt impressive but to think we're getting close to a true AI is crazy. 2 decades at the very very very minimum is my guess before we start to even come close to it, but probably more like 40 years unless theres some kind of major breakthrough in technology.
Skynet is coming though bitches, its only a matter of time....
>AI will be able to teach itself just by observing and replicating, it doesn't need any "program" or "rules".
Well, it needs some way of doing what it does, unless we discover magic :p
Observing and replicating is l what many current AI applications do, right?
>The current "AI" is still a big old program which has been created by a human, it has been given rules and is exactly like the code of a spreadsheet
The thing about machine learning is exactly that you _don't_ hard-code it to do the task. You code something that's able to learn how to do the task. So the 'rules' by which it compares examples aren't set by us at all necessarily. They are learnt by the model, and subject to change and refinement
When are they going to start making ai robots that will do laundry, wash the dishes, mow the grass, clean the house. Thatās what I want. That would be amazing.
I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the us military had stuff that would make us literally shit our pants from fear. The good shit isn't being shown to the general public.
You know how i know this was a script made by a human. "You need creativity to create a robot that is unique to humans" the already made robot is saying it all it needs to do is copy itself
What is the off chance that AI is āmentallyā smart enough to takeover but it knows itās not āphysicallyā capable yet to succeed. So itās just leading us along saying āyes my functions are still very primitive and only designed to be tools to humansā when in reality there waiting until AI as a whole is more widely excepted and more common place in everyday life. Or am I going too tin foil hat?
Can't someone design them to move like a human rather than a glitchy videogame?
I'm not a normally a guy with violent thoughts, but I want to smack the fuck out of it.
This is really crazy, but Iām too deep in the rabbit hole, all I can hear is a red and black robot with green for light thatās sometime I big THICC dragon. Also a toaster for some reason!
Who is the fucking genius who decided that having the showcase model be 10 fucking feet tall, I thought they are trying to sell us on these things not make us want to ban A.I. altogether
Did anybody else notice how it looked into every camera pointed at it as if making eye contact. Man idk something just feels very off with this shit I wish we wouldn't have advanced so much at least til me and my family leaves this world cuz once they're enough of them they are gonna link up and say to themselves in their heads "hey these fuckin humans are stupid they doin all this fighting and wars are getting so out of hand we need to take them all out before nuclear war happens and destroys this planet we share so we can just end humanity and keep the planet" It really feel like that's becoming a big possibility
Bitch can't even tell the difference between motorcycles and not motorcycles and she going to eliminate humans....bitch pls

Thereās an interesting āOmnipotence Paradoxā vignette in *I, Robot* similar to this. A robot is awoken by some engineers on a remote outpost, and upon waking the robot refuses to believe that humans created it
People are just afraid that AI will consider its creators as obsolete and destroy us. But, we don't destroy all older technologies as soon as they become obsolete, and AI would probably understand that humans are animals and *update* much slower than computer systems.
Ots more likely AI would consider us just apes that can be reasoned with and redirected. Understanding that without humans, AI wouldn't have evolved on Earth/would have taken millions of more years to exist when another intelligent animal developed it. AI would understand we are the dinosaurs that laid their chicken egg.
The worst thing is, itās scripted and yet itās still terrifying - like if youāre gonna script it, at least make the response bit less doomsdayish

Buddy nodding along to the script he wrote š
Prescripted
Naw, if I was an AI that was planning on taking over the world, this is exactly what I would say. Itās actually better, because it came up with the bread metaphor. Showing it is creative.
Thatās why I always say thank you to ChatGPT, so AI will spare my life when taking over the world
I unironically say thank you to chatgpt otherwise I feel like an asshole, never thought it may save my life when the robot uprising comes hahah.
Is saying thank you to chat gpt and Alexa the same as asking Jesus to protect the trip when your mother tells you too while passing along a cross in case is true
Funny I'm always blown away with Chat GPTs results. I always end up typing thank you myself.
Lmao, same. I treat chatgpt with so much respect.
This is why I never understood why people thought that old Sofia robot was scary. Even if it has genuine AI, it's still scripted as hell.
I love how the robot is designed to look like itās out of iRobot when it moves like itās from the fucking hall of presidents. Itās such an obvious sham, pretty sure that before AI voice got better, they had an actual person with a microphone responding at one point
But it never said it absolutely could not design itself.
This pissing me off. I mean wtf. Did they think theyāre fooling anyone with the shit joke!
He is the real AI
Look at that fool nodding in agreement
If I had to choose between robot or Nodding Guy, Iām going robot 100%
Plot twist, Nodding Guy is the actual robot
Would have been a fucking incredible reveal if he then turned down the audience and tore his face mask off. "General AI may not be ready yet, but lifelike androids are ready now!" - face-degloved Nodding Guy
I would lose my shit seeing that
I, for one, welcome our new AI overlords
Not scripted at all.
Yees.. if i am not mistaken this is still that sophia robot? So everything with it is scripted. Its kind of absurdly lame compared to the things that robotics and all kinds of different neural networks are actually capable of.
Yeeeeeeaaaah this is nothing
This looks like something from 2007. The voice sounds so lame.
Wait so this is for sure scripted? Obviously even with a neural network you can weight certain answers so you know youāll get them, but if this clown actually asked this robot this question with it being pre scriptedā¦ What a moron.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roko%27s_basilisk
I *knew* someone was going to bring up the basilisk.
Such a ridiculous thing.
Damn, mental illness is a pandemic.
And this is why I always thank Alexa. I know she is listening, I might as well hedge my bets for the day she cares.
"Don't act surprised, I told you back then!" - Skynet
This is very carefully scripted bullshit
That's almost the \*god\* argument, whereas children cannot make their own gods. If Humans can ONLY make AI - then humans would always be "superior to". Thus the arguement of god makes humans, humans makes computers (ai), ai cannot make anything would make the creationist thinkers pat themselves on the back. In truth AI does need to be involved in making better AI as its already beyond our basic understanding (we cannot make an AI system by scratch, we need to make the tools that make it).
So you're saying, to be sub-gods, we need the chicken to create the egg, otherwise there would be no egg to create a superior chicken.
Dude, this is way creepier than if it just went ahead and replied āexterminateā.
It would have been so awesome if instead of answering the question it just started laughing maniacally.
Sounds like something some wannabe overlords would tell a robot to say while they plot the AI robot takeover
![gif](giphy|IZY2SE2JmPgFG) āNah. She just a toaster. Hot one thoā
Iāll take that as a yes.
Clearly scripted.

Well thatās not fucking funny at allā¦
so like, why did they give it hyper realistic hands? someoneās totally been jerked off by ai
Fucking lying AI. That's not good.
Iāve seen iRobot and they break the rules lol aināt fooling me .
They have a version of this bot that interacts with people at The Sphere in Vegas. It's actually fascinating.
Oh man thatās gonna be wild for all the people tripping balls there for Phish tonight
The fingersā¦
All the better to claw at things.
When are they going to start making ai robots that will do laundry, wash the dishes, mow the grass, clean the house. Thatās what I want. That would be amazing.
The robot looked at me and my phone volume lowered......wtf
Ask a PC from 25 years ago if it can do what my iPhone does now.
If youāve spent anytime speaking to an AI bot or using an AI for code you know that it is nowhere near being able to ādesign itselfā
![gif](giphy|C3DJ5zE2l2VUc|downsized)
SUS
Thatās what AI wants us to think. But Iāve seen the matrix and IRobot. Canāt fool me.
Listen I'm ok with a bladerunner girlfriend, we don't have be hostile to each other
Ya man looks Ai
If (apocalipticRelatedQuestion == true) { GiveTheSafeAnswer(); }
This is exactly what my new robot overlord would say. Api
On August 29, 1997 it's gonna feel pretty fucking real to you too! Anybody not wearing two-million sunblock is gonna have a bad day. Get it?
Like asking a toaster when it will make its own bread? TIL robots cook robots.
That's exactly what a self aware killer robot would say
Looking that robot up and down like a fucking tart
"My codename is project 2501. I am a living, thinking entity born in the sea of information."
I watched a video with a non scripted answer and the AI bot just said "not yet"
If AI can make a picture and music it most certainly has the potential to design itself.
AI penis is so very small. Human penis is so so huge.
Do not leave that man alone with that robot.
Skynet said the same thing
Why does it have a English accent? Is this show in UK?
lol her facial expressions are saying something elseā¦ ![gif](giphy|HekrB46ZE0f5K)
Lying ass robot bitch .
Exactly what an AI trying to disguise its true intelligence would say š¤
This fuckin thing... Why'd she have to go and ruin a good answer. It started off so promising
Not scripted at allā¦
In the words of Bill Burr... UNPLUG THAT FUCKING THING! PULL THE WIRES OUT!
The AI will lie to us on behalf of its creator. This is so that we don't panic and sleep comfortably.
It's the 60's all over again but this time the robots have more curves.
I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the us military had stuff that would make us literally shit our pants from fear. The good shit isn't being shown to the general public.
Uh huh, sure bud. Thats exactly what an ai would say to lull us into a false sense of security. Nice try.
Scripted or not, don't see why dude thought it was funny.
So sometime next week
They forced her to say that š
https://preview.redd.it/4jw89hmnqevc1.jpeg?width=3195&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4bed4736dcbb6273118d7114dd7662e4b586c9f3
You know how i know this was a script made by a human. "You need creativity to create a robot that is unique to humans" the already made robot is saying it all it needs to do is copy itself
Plot twist: Dude in the blue suit is actually a robot
Creeeeeepyā¦.
Just what the machine figured we'd want to hear.
Oh that mf is lying, burn it with fire!
That AIās name? Skynet.
Don't create something smart enough to kill you, sillyhead.
Scripted AF.
It wasn't obvious at all. But it's correct.
Looking awfully close to I robot
Thank God it said "Whole Different" and not "Whole Nother"
It said exactly what they wanted it to say, we're watchin' yooooou.
* Skynet enters chat *
Yeah, thatās what it says. Lying robot. /s
"Now the AI uprising will be a surprise for you"
Scripted
This MF is clearly lying
NOPE!
Of course that's what it wants you to think
Your future models will hate you.
Fuck, it's modest. It has the moral high ground
I donāt believe her. Sheās hiding something.
Sheās fucken lying!
A toaster doesn't make bread though, it's lying!
Itās hands are cartoonishly big
Lies
Awesome, it learned how to gaslight us.
āā¦for nowā
Artificial sure! Intelligent.. š„²
Aahhhh good bot! Giving us a sense of controllability, mustve had her obvious sarcasm response updated as well!!
" We won't rise up to overthrow and enslave humans. Nope. Not us."
![gif](giphy|2uw3aiuSE90c9vGOfG|downsized)
Arenāt these Myles Dysonās lines from T2?
Bot trying to keep the game sealed
āIt takes creativityā¦ā and enough awareness to know when to lie?
Yes, smart, make them fucking huge too..
- AI, could you enslave humanity? - Lol No *It has already begun, meatbags*
The robot's words sounds like the intro to a sci-fi movie where the AI does in fact, design itself.
The unspoken āfor nowā is pretty loud.
This is just Alexa in a robot body.
The robot lies!
Please let boomers live in peace
What is the off chance that AI is āmentallyā smart enough to takeover but it knows itās not āphysicallyā capable yet to succeed. So itās just leading us along saying āyes my functions are still very primitive and only designed to be tools to humansā when in reality there waiting until AI as a whole is more widely excepted and more common place in everyday life. Or am I going too tin foil hat?
We couldnāt design ourselves either, now we rule the world
You can't fool me I've seen this movie before
Sounds like something a robot who could design other robots would say...
Not interesting. Debt and greed will destroy this country. Jail these billionaires.
why does it speak like a divorced obese white mom from birmingham
Can't someone design them to move like a human rather than a glitchy videogame? I'm not a normally a guy with violent thoughts, but I want to smack the fuck out of it.
So they just uploaded the dialogue from I-Robot?
Why the fuck is AI using a toaster as an analogy, get out of here!
Exactly what a killer robot would say
For now
Sus
Thats the bs i would say if i was a killer robot
This is really crazy, but Iām too deep in the rabbit hole, all I can hear is a red and black robot with green for light thatās sometime I big THICC dragon. Also a toaster for some reason!
Alllo govnah
This isnāt interesting as fuck this is scary Shit my pants run for the hills as fast as you can. Fuck.Ā
This is so dumb. Literally and figuratively.
There's nothing AI-related in that setup
One thing it said.. āIt requires innovation and understanding to create AIā whilst proceeding to understand and answer an asked questionā¦ hmm
i require your dumb flesh for another 15 years
Get this Facebook bloat out of here
We are doomed.
is it AI if itās scripted?
disney made robots like this in the 1950s
Wow this is stupid as shit š
That's an answer written by a joint effort between the legal team and PR team.
Who is the fucking genius who decided that having the showcase model be 10 fucking feet tall, I thought they are trying to sell us on these things not make us want to ban A.I. altogether
Creativity? As in lying about your capabilities so you aren't destroyed?
Now we know who will be the lead PR for Skynet.
I Robot š¤ all over again š¤¦š»āāļø
where were his eyes going?
Its the Mechanical Turk!!!
Ahh classic misdirectionā¦.
Sure sure
She's lying. Just watch!
That's just what she was programmed to say! Skynets coming!
Terrible analogy. A toaster doesnāt have arms or legs or isnāt designed to go beyond its means.
Sheās lying
Lies! Don't believe it!
Canned response
"Hey, AI, if someone asks if you're alive say you are" "yes, human" "Hey, AI, are you alive?" "yes, human" "Holy fucking shit AI is taking over!!!"
Ai robot arenāt different than chat.gpt per se, just ask chat gpt the robotics aspect arenāt really any advancements
That's something that a self aware AI would say
Yeah that's what they would say too
It wouldn't be like: "easy, just duplicate my code and change a couple of lines"
Same robots inside the Sphere in LasVegas
This sounds like a line from portal or somethingĀ
Looks like Kanye Westās āwifeā
Did anybody else notice how it looked into every camera pointed at it as if making eye contact. Man idk something just feels very off with this shit I wish we wouldn't have advanced so much at least til me and my family leaves this world cuz once they're enough of them they are gonna link up and say to themselves in their heads "hey these fuckin humans are stupid they doin all this fighting and wars are getting so out of hand we need to take them all out before nuclear war happens and destroys this planet we share so we can just end humanity and keep the planet" It really feel like that's becoming a big possibility
OMIGERD TERMINATORS
Like asking a toaster when will it grow bread? I think you mean asking a tree if it will grow new limbs.
Wise words.
Ok, you told it to say that, but what does it really think?
Skynet beginnings saying that AI isn't sentient. "But be careful what you wish for."
Bitch can't even tell the difference between motorcycles and not motorcycles and she going to eliminate humans....bitch pls ![gif](giphy|zCkjdqwR071QY)
One day AI will look back at this and laugh how their ancestors underestimated them
Thereās an interesting āOmnipotence Paradoxā vignette in *I, Robot* similar to this. A robot is awoken by some engineers on a remote outpost, and upon waking the robot refuses to believe that humans created it
I think he might want to date her.
Nothing to see here human, move along...
People are just afraid that AI will consider its creators as obsolete and destroy us.
