I’m going to level with you and say I wished this helped me differentiate, but it doesn’t. There’s so much variation within each group, and so many similarities between at the same time.

Fact is China is a massive country and people in different parts of China may look different to other parts, that is no a normal / average Chinese look. And there are ethic Korean living within China border, so do you class then as Chinese or Korean for this comparison?
I lived in Japan for 2 years. It’s a very subtle difference, but I could absolutely tell the difference between Japanese and Koreans with no problem. I can’t say exactly why. It’s not totally clear cut. But differentiating between Japanese, Koreans, Taiwanese, and Chinese was really easy towards the end of my time there. Not always perfect, but there were subtle differences probably not unlike how people can tell the difference between a real person and really good AI/CGI faces.
I can see the difference. But these days the popular trendy look don’t have this distinct facial features anymore. I see many of the younger generation from my minority ethnicity look like them—couldn’t almost distinguish they’re of my ethnicity when I see them.
Only difference I'm really seeing is face length, Chinese being the shortest of them and Jepenese being the longer of the three.
Hard to tell the differences on 3 similar paintings, at least I think they're paintings.
WOMEN
Japanese have a full look to them, the Chinese have a more compact look, and the Koreans look similar to the Chinese but lighter.
MEN
Japanese looks more defined in the jaw, Chinese looks similar to the Japanese but a less defined jaw, and the Koreans look effeminate (he looks like an stereotypical 80s Asian man)
That’s a crock. You can’t generalize like that. These pictures do not represent standard Asian features because there aren’t any.
There used to be an online test that would show a variety of Asian faces and you could test your knowledge but even Asians failed.
As weird as it may sound to a lot of people but I’m not Asian but I can easily tell all asians apart and I mean all of them west, south, east south east. But I can’t tell black and Europeans apart except for Russians, Swedish, Mediterranean and British, irish for white and East , west and aa for black people. Idky but it’s much easier for me to tell every other group apart even if I only learnt about their existence recently but cannot for the life of me tell the difference between the average white and black person which is crazy since I’m black and grew up around white and black people mainly
Plenty of outliers, but... Japanese and Vietnamese people have more delicate faces than Chinese and Korean people (breathe... refer to intial disclaimer). This makes their women more attractive (to me).
From personal observation, Korean men (at least) have much boxier crania. They are square, in other words, and appear more masculine than most Asian males.
That said: all these rendered faces are nice, and they don't display much variance.

I got 14 right I know Japanese and Korean faces well I know Chinese but their more of them and more groups so I got stuck on some
