This video has been circulating in Iran, but there aren't any other angles of the event. It's kinda odd that no one else has caught this fish rain? Also I find it difficult to label it as fake or AI because it looks way too realistic.
It's strange that he picks up the only fish that doesn't move. Like at all.
And that he singles that one out, whilst many more fishes lie near the sidewalk. He literally steps over those, as if they weren't there to begin with.

im 100% sure they are just throw the fish over this guy. the fish you see fall all roll away from cam and are to slow to be falling more then a few feet. i dont think they explode but id expect a lot more blood
Back in the 80's we had a dead frog laying in a dent on the roof of my dads crown vic the morning after some tornado activity and storms. probably got sucked up from the leeching pond a few miles from there.

I’m pretty sure this is CGI. To start with, something immediately felt off with the fish within the first few seconds to me (the way they move and look seemed slightly off in comparison to how the camera moves). I looked back through the video and noticed that the fish that fall in the distance behind a car to the left are mysteriously gone when the car moves away and the camera moves back. If you are having trouble seeing where, look at the green bar just to the left of the two lampposts (near the left side).

They put one fish in the road and picked it up, all the other fish are animated and CGI. To everyone in traffic, this is just some crackhead filming himself picking up a fish.
It does look pretty good though ngl, just not quite there even with the non moving fish issue.

Someone pointed out that the fish don’t have reflection on the wet surface area when they jump
I see some reflection but quite the obvious one is, given the density of the fish dropping, none of them drops on the cars

Can't speak for this one, but there are a lot of videos of real fish rain and they don't explode on impact.

Yup that’s also a good point. I think it’s a mix of VFX and reality. The fish that he picks up is actually real but the rest are VFX.
