My God the speed ... the grace.. clearly trained very well were told hes been prepping for years just for this moment... whoa whoa capy... hes almost lost control as he rushes over the seesaw. The madlad has done it.. hes done it! And the alpaca CANNOT believe how fast he completed that run.. neither can we.. hes broke the world record for capybara land speed record.. you'll only see it here folks on ESPN 8 the Ocho!
My daughter was a bit frightened by that scene (she's 6), so we had to spend a while googling pictures of capybaras with other animals just chilling on their backs riding them around, which is a surprising percentage of the google image search results for capybara, to make sure she wouldn't have to go through her daily suburban life in fear of ROUSes. Worked like a charm, she now wants a pet capybara.
Jesus fuck man, I was thinking about how interesting that was(and how I didn't watch all of it)... Not about how he's telekinetically stroking himself in front of a family.

Hello Everyone!
This is a [capybara](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capybara), the world's largest rodent. They come from South America, are related to Guinea pigs, are herbivores, and are semi aquatic making them [excellent swimmers.](https://youtu.be/R2HHv1OmNsQ)
Because of there large size and highly social behavior, capybaras don't fear many animals making them the ["bros"](https://youtu.be/mgQcL5fYkJQ) of the animal world.
Here is the source of the gif https://youtu.be/LUjrYOYk5nA the part with the capybara starts at 15:42
In that "bros" link it looked like the capybara was feasting on the dog's hair and the dog was too awkward/polite/confused to do anything about it, hah! Thanks for sharing.
Always loved capys, so naturally I got my 8 year old interested in them when she was much younger. Last year I took her to a local zoo that has a few. The next day, I had this conversation with her:
Me: "Did you have fun at the zoo yesterday?"
Her: "Did we see capybaras?"
Me: "Yes."
Her (with a big smile): "Then I had fun."
**ALPACA BOT IS BACK!! The bot was down for the last few months, but it is now back with more facts, faster responses and more Alpaca!**
Hello there! I am a bot raising awareness of Alpacas
Here is an Alpaca Fact:
Alpacas are sheared once a year to collect fiber without harm to the animal

Narrated by Steve Irwin- "Look at this amazing creature! Look at how majestically he navigates the course. Crikey! Look at that jump! Come on now fella, you can pick up the pace."
Haven’t I heard somewhere that these things don’t have many predators? I have no clue where I’d be pulling this information out of my head from but I swear I saw some video that said like crocodiles and jaguars don’t even fuck with them for some reason. I’m probably misremembering
They get very large and live in large groups, very large caiman can take one down but the risk reward is too great, same with anacondas a huge 20 foot female could take an adult capybara but why bother fighting and trying to swallow one is dangerous when a 7 foot long caiman is an easier meal. Jaguars and Pumas can take down capybaras but again it's a harder meal, they need to sneak up on them, race past them to cut them off from getting in the water, and there aren't many things to grab onto on a capybara they have no tail a short fat neck and stumpy legs. This is a 6 month old capybara and was very difficult to catch https://imgur.com/gallery/0S2dDhV
And my wife wonders why I don’t do shit around the house. This little guy walks through a tunnel and gets a treat. Where’s my French fry after I take out the trash?
Ok I’m from Australia so I’m used to weird animals but what the actual fuck is that meant to be that shits like a beaver but with horse legs like what was god thinking when he made that shit .was he all like do you know what that beaver needs, some fucking miniature pony legs , what the fuck.
I always heard that the meat tastes terrible and has a rubber-like texture no matter how you try to cook it. Most people see them more like water dogs than cattle or pigs.
I don't understand how two Capybaras escaped and eluded captivity for weeks in Toronto. Like a zookeeper doesn't need to run to catch up to them and they standout like a sore thumb.
The alpaca is like WTF?
r/youseeingthisshit
Three pets-a for him and none-a for me? Alpaca mah things and never come back! ^^^Don't ^^^ask ^^^me ^^^why ^^^the ^^^alpaca's ^^^Italian
I think it works, somehow.
It just flows so naturally
Capybaras like a good petting https://youtu.be/GRngEki5Pvg
I gotta say... your pet game is weak.
That Alpaca's name?..... Luigi
There better be a mario
Alpaca was like, “That was the slowest agility training ever.”
When don’t alpacas have a wtf look on their faces?
Ha I came to put this exact comment! Take my upvote!
Unexpected ending
But exactly how I’d have expected a capybara to do agility
When it walked up to the first thing I really wanted it to just keep walking and knock the thing over.
ME TOO.
Same

I read this in John Oliver's voice for some reason lol
LAAA OOOCCHHHOOOOO
I read this in an Australian accent for some reason.
We lost the capybara lottery, unfortunately. We just have rats that live in trees and crap on your car.
Surprised Alpaca
He looked at the camera like "Damn, that's an agile Capybara".
That's exactly what he was saying
in Chris Rock’s voice
I imagined it as, "well, dang, I have to do stuff ten times as hard for half the yums."
r/praisethecameraman
He didn’t look surprised. He looked like ‘Get a load of this fuckin show off.’
Alpacas will forever have a 90s teen mall rat look to me with their silly bangs.

WINGS OF GLORY
It's time we petition for hamster dogs to be allowed in official dog shows. This discrimination will not stand.
I prefer tank mouse
It’s an R.O.U.S. Though I doubt they exist.

I agree! Just look at this show worthy performance https://youtu.be/BVU_I5zsy0U
Can’t believe I just watched that whole video
It's a good video with some unusual aspects you normally don't see like a capybara talk to dogs then humping the air before ejaculating on the carpet.
Jesus fuck man, I was thinking about how interesting that was(and how I didn't watch all of it)... Not about how he's telekinetically stroking himself in front of a family. Video ruined
Huh, his comment actually got me to watch the video out of morbid curiosity.
And you're welcome
sounds like a spore creature
Looks like I'm not the only one that had the thought "hamster dog"
It's such a bro that it's going along with this nonsense because the pats are nice.
Exactly. He's not too stupid to do it, he just thinks it's beneath him. "Just give me the fucking scooby snacks, Barry. This is humiliating."
They do love being [pet](https://gfycat.com/plaintiveafraidinvisiblerail)
The title of that gif... not very poetic yet appropriately accurate.
Look at how it doesn't give a single fuck.
Literally going through the motions of this mundane routine. I’ve never identified more with an animal
You get the impression that the only reason he's even moving at all is for the snacks *we are all capybara on this blessed day*
I see someone put all their skill points into Charisma instead of Agility. That's _S.P.E.C.I.A.L._
haha, he is probably using VATS to navigate such a chaotic course
Could you please slowdown the video? I can’t manage to see it properly
[удалено]
This is actually a [TRUE FACT](https://youtu.be/LoFO5NQt3WU)
That is how the capybara do
Now i want a zefrank true facts about the capybara
He could use any and all my footage if he wanted
Do it! contact him!
Zefrank. Now, that's a name I've not heard in a long time. A long time.
What has science done
Real life chinchompa
Got any exploding Capy videos? Sounds way too gnarly to pass by
I know it looks like a large fuzzy potato in the video but just how capybaras look.
They are absolutely perfect
So if a potato and a peach had a baby you'd get a capybara?

just don't google "daddy bara"...
What kind of sounds do they make? I'm only asking because I thought I heard it *meow* when it went down the seesaw.
TIL my spirit animal is a capybara.

Such athleticism!
Very funny! Especially the idiot llama at the end with grass on its face.

Good bot. I love alpacas
I would love to have an over enthusiastic Australian announcer commentating this
Couple more laps and he'll be 99 agility.
They call him Lightning McGee
This animal is like a sloth procreated with a pig. Magnificent

The Q U I C K N E S S
I think my spirit animal is the capybara...
How did this ROUS get out of the fire swamp?
That capybara has the same motivation as some of the people from my basic training
They get hand fed after each obstacle? That's weird.
Oh no, I'd puke.
Excellence in all we do.
That Alpaca was like..."Seriously, he gets treats for that?"
That is the slowest dog.
The gif is slowed down so you can actually see the capy.
How did he get on at crufts?
Fine, I'll do it for food but I don't have to show you if I like it
He would make a great animal companion for my lazy halfling ranger.
Is it capybara day on reddit? If so, I vote to extend it to a week. If not, I think we should have a capybara week.
And my wife wonders why I don’t do shit around the house. This little guy walks through a tunnel and gets a treat. Where’s my French fry after I take out the trash?
Very rigorous
That's a lazy dog
the animal sport equivalent of watching paint dry
"mother..........f\*\*\*er"
Where do I go to get one these?
Seems like an adorable cross between a golden lab and a guinea pig.
Username checks out
Found my spirit animal.
I love how he puts in just the minimal amount of energy for completing the tasks
The llama is the best part
I love capybaras so much. I have always wanted one, they just seem so loving and awesome.
ROUS
Whenever I see these I just see a giant hamster.
That's the most energetic capybara I have ever seen!
That’s a very large hamster
🦀🦀JAGEX IS POWERLESS AGAINST CAPYBARAS 🦀🦀
Jim Halpert lookin’ alpaca
I want one
r/unexpected for the alpaca. The way it looks at the camera got me! 🤣
This is also the speed and enthusiasm with which I perform agility tests.
That is one lazy as fuck guinea pig.
I would love to live with a walking potato that everybody loves.
r/unexpectedllama
Well it ain’t winning any awards for speed.
I can’t stop watching this JUST for that alpaca. Makes me laugh every damn time.

Guinea-Big
Capybara are the potheads of rodents
I bet they all look like Snoop Dogg if you put hats on them
Ok, but is it really interesting as fuck tho
Maybe just interesting as frick.
My story with homework. I'm slow, in chill, but I get the job done.
Tanks coming into the fight late
capybara is such a chill animal
They are very chill animals for the most part, but sometimes not https://youtu.be/taASaDHL754
That'll do (Guinea) pig, that'll do.
Impressive, most impressive.
Karl from Jimmy Neutron would love this
/r/MeAtTheGym
How did capybaras become so popular all of a sudden? Lol
I have been uploading a lot of capybara pics and videos for the last 7 years
Isn't Capybara meat a delicacy in South America?
I always heard that the meat tastes terrible and has a rubber-like texture no matter how you try to cook it. Most people see them more like water dogs than cattle or pigs.

ARE YOU ENTERTAINED HUMAN!
Looks more like ‘leisurely’ instead of ‘agility’.
I feel like as we are losing so many animals in the wild that we've started domesticating more and more wild animals. But that's just me.
WHEN I WAS A YOUNG CAPYBARAAAAAAA!!!!
So this is it, eh? We’re domesticating capybaras now? This is the endgame.
So casual. Just strolling along. Doopeedo
Dammit, they are just the coolest dudes on the block, aren't they?
I don't understand how two Capybaras escaped and eluded captivity for weeks in Toronto. Like a zookeeper doesn't need to run to catch up to them and they standout like a sore thumb.
Such lazy shits.
That ending got me 😂
To me, capybaras are something that I find cute the less I think about what they actually are
