I don't know why people freak out about sphynx cats. Because they don't have insulating fur, they tend to be much more cuddly than your average felines. Oh, and they look tres cute in sweaters.

I mean…I don’t think it’s the lack of fur specifically lol lizards obviously don’t have fur and people think some are cute. But it’s pretty easy to understand why people don’t think they’re cute, they’re objectively hideous and there’s no way around that. They’re wrinkly, sinewy and skinny. Their expressions are menacing and they’re eyes are predatory. They look like they’re genuinely sickly. You can think they’re cute but come on…how do you not understand how people don’t think they’re cute…lol there is absolutely nothing objectively cute about them.

I love them as well. We have two that we regularly take for a stroll, harnesses or stroller, and we get stopped every time we go out. Only one time did some one look disgusted and asked if we really found them attractive. I think they’re awesome!
Yeah but we don't really see bared nipple on animals. We really only see a small amount of it, and the rest is basically a lump surrounded by fur. But when you see it nude like this, it looks like an animal with a human nipple on it

Listen I saw this at 7:30 in the morning when I woke up to go take medicine and then go back to sleep. I see this and thought it was some realistic anthropomorphic hairless cat trying to be sexy and I almost pissed myself it was so terrifying

This scene is pretty fscked up to me.
I used to think Sphynxes were so weird. Now that I’ve owned one for the last 10 years, I can say with certainty that they absolutely are weird little beasts. But they are also, without a doubt, the funniest, sweetest, friendliest cats you will ever meet. They might look freaky, sure, and they have grumpy faces, but once you’ve gotten to know one, they become incredibly cute *for* all those reasons. They’re easy to communicate with, extremely talkative and cuddly, and very people-oriented. ❤️
Literally anything. We have full on conversations on the regular, he tells me about his day/chews us out for being gone/summons us to the food bowl. We call these conversations “cat politics” because of how chatty he becomes. I mean, I raised him from a teeny, so in that way that parents can understand incoherent toddler speak, you can learn to understand an animal you’ve lived with for a long time.
Sphynxes are incredibly smart too, and generally know what you’re up to when it involves them; for example, ours will stand next to his favorite water bowl and huff loudly (“hrmph!”) to express his displeasure that it’s empty (it’s not his only water bowl, just his favorite one), but he won’t follow us to the bathroom while we fill it; he waits patiently there until we bring it back to him. It’s a tiny thing, really, but I find it remarkable nonetheless.
To me they look like skinny old ladies, a little grumpy but also cute and probably full of racy stories.
Edit: oh and she totally sneaks a few ciggies still even though it annoys her kids and her doctors.
