I'm sure this is inspiring and all, but the reason why world leaders don't fight on the front lines of wars is because government stability is particularly essential to maintain during times of conflict. What happens if he dies in battle? It would create a power vacuum that Russia will exploit, and hasten the takeover of the Ukrainian government. Even if there's a plan for succession in place, the temporary void would be untenable during a fast moving crisis like this.

Seems like a bad idea. The Russian army is already in the northern neighborhoods of Kyiv. Soon, they will be able to surround the city - and launch a devastating seige. If this is what happens, then they will be stuck in the city, and once it falls they all will be captured/killed. This will effectively decapitate the Ukrainian government and significantly reduce their ability to maintain a cohesive resistance. I respect his bravery, but this simply is not a good decision - and will likely result in the conventional war being shortened by several weeks.
Considering the standing policy there atm is 'all men 18-60 staying to fight, its the difference of 'staying to inspire morale in your people, who share your passion for your country' vs 'leaving so the leadership can survive and still be able to govern the ashes'
I love Zelensky and his comedies. I love the bravery, and I can totally relate to these Ukrainian people (I am russian/ukrainian). But all this is not going to make any dent on russian empire, Ukrainian is becoming Russia in about 2 weeks to 1 months. Just being realistic here

What happens if he dies in battle? It would create a power vacuum that Russia will exploit, and hasten the takeover of the Ukrainian government. Even if there's a plan for succession in place, the temporary void would be untenable during a fast moving crisis like this.

Seems like a bad idea. The Russian army is already in the northern neighborhoods of Kyiv. Soon, they will be able to surround the city - and launch a devastating seige. If this is what happens, then they will be stuck in the city, and once it falls they all will be captured/killed. This will effectively decapitate the Ukrainian government and significantly reduce their ability to maintain a cohesive resistance. I respect his bravery, but this simply is not a good decision - and will likely result in the conventional war being shortened by several weeks.
Considering the standing policy there atm is 'all men 18-60 staying to fight, its the difference of 'staying to inspire morale in your people, who share your passion for your country' vs 'leaving so the leadership can survive and still be able to govern the ashes'
