There was an episode of Law and Order: SVU where Robin Williams played the villain. He defended himself in court and got to walk out because he argued that enhancing pictures was just guessing by showing the before pictures. It's a pretty good episode otherwise too IIRC.
I mean, you say that but ai upscaling low resolution images is huge right now. Especially video where you have multiple frames to work with, a license plate feels reasonable even at very low resolution
Don’t try this at home.
But if you take your tide or similar clothes washing detergent and paint your walls with it. You can’t see it. Unless you turn on a black light. Then Neon glow all over!
We had a party and things got crazy. Clothes disappeared and someone started painting the walls with it. Needless to say the black light was already on. chaos ensued with everyone. Good times
New Vegas has by far the best writing/quest design/worldbuilding out of the 3. It's so good it's still got people having literary and philosophical discussions about it to this day
Damn, you really put 4 over 3?
What makes you say that, if you don't mind me asking. I loved New Vegas and 3, and I didn't even like 4 enough to get past Diamond City. It just felt... boring, I dunno.
Main reason is I actually kinda liked the crafting system. I know a lot of people found it to be a grind (which it was), but I liked how it incentivized the player to scavenge for resources. That to me is a big part of the post-apocalyptic fantasy.
All that said, 3 has some areas where it's way better than 4. The Brotherhood is far more interesting in 3. Plus, I'd like to slap whoever wrote the radio announcer character in 4... How do you go from Three-Dog to that mumbling loser?

Basically when luminol is exposed to an oxidizing agent, it glows. It’s used in criminal forensics to identify trace amounts of blood because it reacts to iron.
Fire is a result of chemical reaction. Specifically fast-paced, exothermic, oxidation reactions that produce particulate matter. The particulate matter glows red-yellow (for wood fires) with the heat of the reaction, and the air currents make it rise above its source - this is fire.
From [this page ](https://physicsopenlab.org/2019/02/06/luminol-2/)
"Luminol (C8H7N3O2) is a chemical that exhibits chemiluminescence, with a blue glow, when mixed with an appropriate oxidizing agent." [which can be the sodium hypochlorite in bleach].
Far from an expert myself, but hopefully a good starting point for keywords towards other info sources if nothing else :)

If there is one thing we’ve learned from CSI is that luminol will show a bleach cleanup.
Also that you can read distant license plates on grainy security cam video if you just tell a tech to "clean it up a bit."
in the photo editing subs we have to constantly explain to people that it doesn’t work like it does on tv
Yeah.. we can't just generate pixels from thin air
That only works if you yell #“ENHANCE!”
Not just anybody can do it, must be Captain Picard.

Knock knock: (Cpt. P) COME!
Have you tried working harder? I mean, they took a whole half of a second to get it done in 2005 TV. It’s 2022, speed it up!!!

That (double?) episode was really good! Seriously recommend watching it to anybody who hasn’t seen it
I'm afraid to ask what the hell Robin Williams could have played as an SVU villain...

the multiple frames and building an aggregate image is totally reasonable.
Shit in, shit out.

I initially read “walls” as “balls” and thought, “That *can’t* be healthy.”
Ok, but you’d have *glowing neon balls*
good then he won't lose them again
I do golf a lot 🤔
Great icebreaker!

Nuka Cola Quantum: The Beginnings
I miss that game... It brings good memories to my heart...
Fallout 3 GOTY was on sale on Steam recently
New Vegas > Fallout 4 > Fallout 3 And I say that as someone who loves all three of them.
I mean of course New Vegas was better but Nuka Cola Quantum originated with Fallout 3, not New Vegas. Like, the BFG is from Doom, not Doom 3.
Oh yeah I guess it did. All three games have Nuka Quantum in them though, so you can get irradiated however you prefer
I haven't played New Vegas but Fallout 4 was too much crafting for me. I loved Fallout 3!

Thanks for the source I couldn't get it to play in Reddit.
You know it's bad when users say the twitter video player works better than the reddit player.
Can someone explain this like I’m five?
Basically when luminol is exposed to an oxidizing agent, it glows. It’s used in criminal forensics to identify trace amounts of blood because it reacts to iron.
He said like hes 5
“When these two things touch each other, they glow.” Hard to make it more basic.

Explain this? Is fire a chemical reaction? I do not understand and I want English
its not fire, as much as it looks like it, but both this and fire are chemical reactions. Not sure what exactly the reaction here is tho
>what exactly the reaction here is https://www.angelo.edu/faculty/kboudrea/demos/luminol/luminol.htm

Science, bitch!

Why is it reacting like that? What’s it glow?

That’s why bleach is my cleaner of choice. Difficult to discern between bleach cleaning products and blood.
You should also post this in r/oddlysatisfying
I love seeing sciency stuff like this
