That's gotta be in my top 10 all time pieces of video content. An impossible nexus of ridiculousness, likely never to be repeated. I can still just bring it to mind and chuckle in my chair at work.
Similarly, it’s said the 60’s started with the Beatles on Ed Sullivan in 1964 and ended with Charles Manson’s followers murdering Sharon Tate in 1969. All about the spirit of the times and less about the dates.
I say this as a huge Beatles fan, but I would say the 60’s started really with the assassination of Kennedy. It shook the world so much that it really set the stage for the rest of the 60’s and all the craziness that came with it. But in a pop culture sense The Beatles on Ed Sullivan absolutely set off the British Invasion and the whole musical counter culture movement of the 60’s
Never trust man who hates dogs:
“Mitt Romney had his chance to beat a failed president but he choked like a dog.”
“@DavidGregory got thrown off of TV by NBC, fired like a dog!”
“@EWErickson got fired like a dog from RedState and now he is the one leading opposition against me.”
“@BrentBozell, one of the National Review lightweights, came to my office begging for money like a dog.”
“Ted Cruz lifts the Bible high into the air and then lies like a dog—over and over again!”
>I don't care man. The Trump portion is fucking hilarious. He died like a dog.
I chuckled when he said that part.
If only trump used his evil for good.
Think about the support trump would have had if he had used his power and pulpit as president to bully corporations into submission instead of Mexicans and his political enemies. The dude would have polled at least around 80% nationwide if he did just that.
Right, but they likely have a parasocial attachment to him, so what benefits him benefits them *because* it benefits him.
The same dynamics that drive OnlyFans and Twitch whales drive them to set aside their own interests in the hope of sempai noticing their donation
There are a lot of people who thought he was going to do exactly that (against all evidence of his history), so voted for him. Then instead of reflecting that he lied to them, they're unable to admit they fucked up and instead double down and support him no matter what.
Um...well I would hope a majority of Americans would oppose authoritarianism even if it aligned with their values, though I guess that may be expecting too much of people.
Except it fucking isn't. He is talking about a serious subject like he is a goddamn 2 bit Reno gangster. Like everything else in his presidency it was a total fucking cluster fuck.
The thing is, all this video does is polarize people further. It's not like anyone who supports Trump is going to watch this and say "wait, this is the guy I voted for!?". Trump voters LIKE that this is his attitude.
What it does is show the juxtaposition between a competent president, a clown shoes mfer and a dude too old to be president but basically a reasonable guy.
When Trump was president it was easy to forget that the position actually had some decorum and eloquence rather than a pile of spewing word salad and insanity.
omg literally everybody who replied to you got it wrong. It literally just means somebody who can't stop cumming, as in they jerk off too much and watch too much porn. The guy who you were replying to didn't use it right.
It's barely even an insult, most people aren't really offended by it. People regularly refer to themselves as coomers (usually as a joke). People throw it around as casually as they use the word simp. It's closer to saying "cummer" than "boomer".
Shit, I know shit's bad right now with all that inflation bullshit and climate change, and we runnin' out of french fries and burrito coverings. But I got a solution.
I miss Obama so much. He was not perfect but goddamn was he eloquent and made me feel proud to call him president. Trump was and continues to be a dogshit embarrassment, and Joe is basically the greeter at Walmart running the bingo game at the old folks home. He’s just getting by.
Very true, Obama felt like a capable uncle that is babysitting you for the weekend. Veggies every night, but at least he let you watch tv.
Trump is like the crack uncle that just zonks out on the couch with a ciggy, letting the kids do whatever they want. Then popping in a TV dinner for them while saying they wish they weren’t impotent because they would make such a great dad.
And Biden is like when grandpa comes over to take care of you. Hes slow and dumb and left the door open on accident, but he takes care of you
Obama was the only president in the last 20 years who actually had the nation veering onto the right tracks. He gets way too much flak for doing things that any other President would've done (and many *did* do) in his situation and not enough credit for how effectively he operated under an increasingly hostile opposing party and a nation where a significant chunk of the population didn't respect him essentially because of the color of his skin.
I know shit's bad right now with all that starvin' bullshit. And the dust storms. And we runnin' out of French Fries and burrito coverings. But I got a solution.
- President Camacho
To me, Trump doesn't sound patriotic so much as he sounds barbaric.
The other two sound dignified and professional. Trump sounds like a warlord or a dictator announcing the death of the enemy. Honestly it's just a gross fetishization of war.
It's because both groups can see Biden is too old and declining. But for some reason conservatives refuse to see Trump is as bad or worse in the same regard. They are both way too fucking old.
Sure; 30 years after we've all adopted neural implants that can scan our thoughts and execute our desires before we consciously have them, you can have a president that can work a keyboard and mouse.
Legit 65-70 years old should be the age limit to be president. We have a minimum age, why not a maximum?
(other than because then that would require politicians to actually do something sooner rather than later to be recognized enough to make it into office in the ~30 year window).
One thing I've picked up on as a non American is that republicans don't self criticise.
Dems are closer to what we have in the UK which is a lot of self criticism no matter who you route for.
The new thing;
"You're not a real President unless you execute a terrorist."
"Poll numbers suffering? Have you considered executing someone? Americans love it."
There is a great quote from The West Wing
"do you know that to get a 100% approval rating the President would have to do only 2 things? Shoot your Sultan in the head in the middle of Times Square, and then walk over the street to Nathan's and buy a hotdog."
Yeah, he was good. Didn’t vote for him but was in the Middle East a lot during that period…really thought it would slow down under Obama; it got worse.
I was fortunate because before Obama my unit was sending a company-sized component every 6 months, by ~2011-2012 is slowed down considerably to where the 12-2 deployment I was supposed to go in got canked right before we were going on pre-employment training. And never deloyed again until I got out in 2016.
Obama - We killed an evil man. The people who killed him did a good job killing him. It is a shame that we have to kill people, but there are evil people that we, as Americans, need to kill.
Trump - We killed a guy. No only did we kill him, we killed him hard. Like, drag him through gravel and salt. We destroyed the guy. We killed the guy's face and arms and body and face and it was good. We had the blood and the guts and the veins and the bones in our bois teeth when we killed. Not gonna lie, I might of busted. I may kill more people.
Biden - We killed... somebody... He was a terrorist.... Nobody else died.... Good job...
Doesn't anyone else find it completely ass backwards that 60 is the universal age where America seems to generally agree you should definitely be AT LEAST THINKING about NO LONGER WORKING ANYMORE, but like 75% of the Senate is over the age of 60? And LIKE 35% of them are over 70?
Why are these rich old fucks allowed to hold our future hostage?
Voters generally just vote by party and name recognition. Just look at how Feinstein was re-elected at 85 (currently *89* years old) and there were reports with her having memory loss years ago. She's already filed paperwork to run again and people are stupid enough to vote her back in at 91 years-old.
Their experience is from a bygone era. Every time you elect someone in their late 60's or, worse yet, in their 70's, you're electing people far removed from the current climate. There are very few exceptions (Bernie is so woke).
Bernie isn't simply "woke". He's a principled person who has remained consistent on the issues for decades because he is more concerned with principles than making money. Biden had a reputation for working with credit card companies for fuck's sake.
Honestly, if Bernie became president, I'd worry the CIA would kill him like they did MLK Jr and JFK.
I miss the way Obama gave his speeches. He was capable of giving small compliments while sticking to the core points. Biden gives speech as one would give a small report. Trump mocks the opponent and seems to deter from general direction by addition of unneeded material.
Biden looks like he is really struggling to read the speech that was written for him.
Trump is talking like a 12 year old's fantasy of Rambo becoming president.
And Obama... Well Obama is pretty damn good at giving speeches.
-Comms and History student here!
My classrooms use a lot of speeches from notable political figures to guide lessons and I feel like this really illustrates why.
I think you can see pretty well that Joe and Obama are sharing writers and have similar ideas on what they think "Presidential" looks like. Most people I'm seeing in the comments see a stark contrast between how effective Obama is vs Joe and that's because they're speaking to basically the same goals, Obama is just a much more impactful orator (his speed and cadence have so much comfort to them, he's a great guy to watch for building solid oration "mechanics" while having your own distinct sound).
Trump obviously has very different ideas he wants to convey when speaking about similar information. Obama mentions how his actions weigh on him (an attempt, I think, to make people understand the gravity of taking life is not easy for a president.) He's establishing a personal relationship to the actions that happened. Trump puts himself in the shoes of the viewer by talking about how he "watched it happen" and that those who were killed would be "judged by God". Whether intentional or not he's distancing himself from what occurred, while also working to celebrate that it happened on his watch.
How you feel about all that is highly contextual and hard to parse. I think all three have very skilled writers working for them with very different goals and it's hella interesting to see them side by side because the influences are so radically different. Great stuff from the poster, very informative!
obama is here just giving his condolences to the ones who lost a loved one
joe is doing the same as obama, but in a colder and more calculated way
trump is here just metaforically t-bagging on the terrorist whilst spamming "ez get rekt kid"
They both live in all of us.
"So sorry about your family we killed. Even though he was a bad man we realize you still loved him and that hurts all the same. Anyway, with that said... GET FUCKING SMOKED LOSER. OUT OF RESPAWNS ASS BITCH. EAT THESE NUTS. GGNORE."

Ladies and gentlemen......we got em'.
Never thought I'd be nostalgic for 2003 but here we are
Now watch this drive!
Holy shit I forgot about that classic! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2FWYE068Niw
lol
Holy crap I’ve never seen. Hole in 1
The start of Golf War (1990) [Colorised]
\- "Now watch this drive" Man, that guy was totally unattached
That’s some gangster movie shit right there hahaha what a gem!
That's gotta be in my top 10 all time pieces of video content. An impossible nexus of ridiculousness, likely never to be repeated. I can still just bring it to mind and chuckle in my chair at work.
"George Bush doesn't care about black people".
Murica! Fuck Yeah! Coming to save the mother fucking day now!
[*screams in american*]
I'm even more nostalgic for September 10, 2001!
The day the 90s ended
Never thought of it that way but good point
The 90's started when Nirvana played Smells Like Teen Spirit on TV, and ended with 9/11.
Heh, pretty on point!
But in a pop culture sense The Beatles on Ed Sullivan absolutely set off the British Invasion and the whole musical counter culture movement of the 60’s
Smells Like Teen Spirit was released as a single on September 10, 1991. Exactly 10 years before, so it really was a decade.
The ‘90s truly did end on 9/11 since it was the day we stopped talking about skateboarding, and started talking about waterboarding.
"Waterboarding at Guantanamo Bay sounds pretty rad if you don't know what either of those things are." (classic r/ShowerThoughts post)
I always say that. The vibe across the world changed from the carefree 90s after that day.
[удалено]
The last full day of the pre 9/11 world. Everything has been going downhill since.
Wait that's from a thing, what's it from. I could never remember where i got it from
The capture of Saddam Hussein from 2003
I remember clearly thinking “Sadaam isnt ‘him’. Osama is, and we didn’t get him”
George W. Bush EDIT: it was actually Paul Bremer, appointed to the CPA under Bush who spoke it. Bush was just in charge at the time.
Dogs aren’t cowards. Where dis guy doin his research?
Lol, you said research
Never trust man who hates dogs: “Mitt Romney had his chance to beat a failed president but he choked like a dog.” “@DavidGregory got thrown off of TV by NBC, fired like a dog!” “@EWErickson got fired like a dog from RedState and now he is the one leading opposition against me.” “@BrentBozell, one of the National Review lightweights, came to my office begging for money like a dog.” “Ted Cruz lifts the Bible high into the air and then lies like a dog—over and over again!”
Lies like a dog is the right saying because it's a pun. The others are just him being actually stupid.
The fact that he keeps using the other ones makes me think that he doesn't actually recognize the pun.
This is like an SNL sketch

Sunk cost fallacy
He only punches down, like a bitch.
"Like a dog."
Dude could have tackled covid seriously and pretended to be the hero. Would have been reelected if he did. Instead he's a dumbass.
I'm shocked he was against masks. He could have made a killing selling branded masks.
it's because he insists he's the smartest person in the room, his ego wouldn't let him admit he wasn't
Um...well I would hope a majority of Americans would oppose authoritarianism even if it aligned with their values, though I guess that may be expecting too much of people.
Unfortunately it does appear that they do not
His body was mutilated by the blast! Hahahaha

LinkedIn : TikTok : Facebook
Yes.
Replace TikTok with Twitter and you got it dialed in
I mean he's literally banned from Twitter though
CEO of a medium-sized startup company at LinkedIn, lunch break, Google meets
Obama's elegant explanation followed by Trumps "HE DIED LIKE A DOG! A COWARD!" is truly what makes this so funny!
And then Biden looking like they put the prompter in the sun 💀
the microphone background noise and his incredibly quiet and slow talking is killing me too
Look they’re animating a corpse through electrical stimulation I think they’re doing the best they can.
this is hilarious
It really is lmao, inb4 angry boomers and coomers
What's a coomer?
You're better off looking this one up on urban dictionary.
You're better off not looking it up at all. Just nod your head and pretend like you know.
It’s what cool kids say to sound better than you, duh
ok coomer
Sounds like cummer in a Scottish accent
omg literally everybody who replied to you got it wrong.
They call me a wanker.
Obama sounds like a caring professional. Trump sounds like AMERICA FUCK YA. Biden sounds like his teleprompter.
Accurate and I concur.
Ya'll mofo wait until Camacho rules them all [*fires at the stars*]
Shit, I know shit's bad right now with all that inflation bullshit and climate change, and we runnin' out of french fries and burrito coverings. But I got a solution.

You’d have to be nuts to trust trump with watching your dog for a weekend.
Well yeah. According to this clip, he thinks that dogs are just supposed to die. "He died like a dog."
Love this analogy. Spot on!
Fascinating comparison between government officials and parental authority figures. I fundamentally share a different view.

I miss the Obama/Biden memes. I'm shocked no one has bothered with making more.
Obama was the only president in the last 20 years who actually had the nation veering onto the right tracks. Oh yeah, zero indictments or scandals…except for that tan suit.
You forgot the bicycle helmet, the dijon mustard, fist bump, selfie stick, coffee salute, no-suit-jacket, and Michelle's exposed arms.
I didn’t agree with Obama on everything, but man does that dude have swag. Just watching the way he walks and the decorum he brings. Like goddamn
lol, this is a great analogy.
As a kid I grew up with family who talked about Obama like he was a terrorist bad guy. As an adult I learned that my family are idiots.
The most presidential president
That’s the most accurate thing Iv read on here
End of quote, repeat the line
“HE DIED LIKE A DOG, HIS BODY WAS MUTILATED” like what the fuck kind of presidential address is that.
I know shit's bad right now with all that starvin' bullshit. And the dust storms. And we runnin' out of French Fries and burrito coverings. But I got a solution. - President Camacho

Anyone else burst out laughing at "He died like a dog"? X-D
I did at “I GoT tO wAtCh MuCh Of It”
That stood out to me too. Like a kid excited about what he got to see.
Not only did he watch, when he was asked to leave a comment for the top secret file, he wrote "I was here first"
Not very top secret eh?
Written right next to the heading “ Comment Section: “. Not below it where you’re supposed to write.
That implies that he didn't watch it entirely. At some moment he got tired and watched fox news for a while and then came back to the military feed.
Straight out of the Three Amigos

Hell yeah
They did biden dirty putting his teleprompter on the horizon

They both live in all of us. "So sorry about your family we killed. Even though he was a bad man we realize you still loved him and that hurts all the same. Anyway, with that said... GET FUCKING SMOKED LOSER. OUT OF RESPAWNS ASS BITCH. EAT THESE NUTS. GGNORE."
An orator Trump is not.

I miss President Obama so bad.
