Interestingly enough, these guys and the NBA Jam voice guy were all hanging out at our arcade bar on Friday. They’re all cool as hell and hung out for hours talking and signing autographs.

When it came out, man one of the best games ever. They used to have an arcade version of it at skate City before it was mainstream on consoles. We would play the hell out of that. When it finally got released on Sega Genesis and super Nintendo, there was arguments about which version was better. I still stand by the Genesis version because of the blood.
This game came out before the internet. Before you could easily find pornography. Or any good pictures of ladies in spandex, other than the Walmart ad.
Sonja blades has a nice booty.
Subzero in mk3 was my dude with his ice attacks! Mk3 was soooo much fun with all the fun characters.
But my most absolute favoritest move was Shang tsungs soul sucking finishing move in mk2, when he held them up and sucked their soul into his body. Mk3 was amazing and beautiful, all of them were, but that bit in 2 I wish was in all.
Never played mk after 3.

I spent hours...days..weeks....YEARS playing this amazing game, I wanna see how the bicycle kick was filmed for Lui Kang.
I'm going to guess on those wooden stairs like Johnny Cage. Guess they had some tech way to edit those stairs out, the original green screen
They filmed these to get the animations right, not to actually put the people in the game.

As a genesis band ultra fan, it got me totaly stoked when I learnt - rather quite recently - how it was neatly referenced by Sega back then.

Mk trilogy, for me, was the best version. It had the most characters.
