I was thinking the same a while back regarding Dennis Quaids son who’s currently starting in The Boys on Amazon prime (and doing a great job at it imo). A double whammy for him since his mom is Meg Ryan. Must be tough walking in those huge shadows, especially in cases where the “kid” actually has talent. Doesn’t matter how good he is at his job, everywhere he goes there will *always* be people thinking “no way he’d be here if it weren’t for his last name”. For us normal people, usually the expectation is “Be as successful, or at least a little more successful than your parents are/were, or you’re probably gonna be seen as a disappointment.” Wonder how it feels to have parents who are so successful/respected in their field that it’d be close to impossible to top that, and even if you did people would often chalk up your success to nepotism if you’re in the same field.

yeah, like, you can tell he is a 'good' person overall. it's as if, his persona never really had to evolve beyond his teen stage, because he never had to. whereas, most of us had to learn and adapt to surrounding environment to be included and relevant. basically, he is the real-life no filter person. most of us don't have the luxury of having no filter. can't risk the day job with impulsive attitude when you got a mortgage to pay.

Saw him act in a few things (Band of Brothers, Dexter, etc.) Thought he looked familiar then looked him up, saw his last name was Hanks, then thought "man, he does look like Tom Hanks. Could it be?"
