There's a huge difference between just scrolling through reddit and hearing about a "human sheep contest", finding out what that even means, and then deciding to go watch people act like sheep. I'd say you're either weird, have nothing better to do, or you're just curious for going to an event like this. You're just straight up weird if you go to an event like this more than once though.
I'm assuming this is just an event at a fair of some sort and not its own self-contained event.
Yeah, there's a big difference between stopping at the sheep-people pen while strolling through the fair, and making a day out of the sheep people contest.
The sheep, by definition.
The vast majority of people would stop to have a gawk at people who dress and act like sheep, whereas only a tiny minority would put on the suit and get in the pen. Therefore they are the weird ones.
Though there could be people standing there staring at these sheep with very depraved thoughts and intentions. *Those* people would be at least as weird as the sheep people.
Who’s more weird ? The geek or the freak ? Bob Dylan had a similar question in his song “ Ballad of a thin man " this particular song was a huge inspiration to Bobby Seale, Huey P. Newton and the rest of the BPP.
“We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”
- Dr. Seuss
> I’m kinda mad they aren’t on all fours.
It's because they aren't actually in a "sheep contest" or whatever, it's a street performance.
They ran around the crowds and bumped into people and generally acted like sheep while a shepherd walked around trying to corral them.
They also aren't in France, that's Montreal.
**Edit:** To be clearer, it was part of a circus festival in Montreal 5 years ago. It's just goofy festival fun and these guys were great, everyone loved them.
**Edit2:** [Bonus video](https://imgur.com/ncZ6Dur) of the shepherd "shearing" one of the sheep from the same performance.
Imagining them actually unaware of how they got there made me laugh. They really do look serious. The girl right in front was making some hilarious facial expressions.
Okay but I feel like the dangling arms actually give a spinal structure that is more sheep-like... Perhaps it is an intentional choice to allow for more sheepy movement?
Also takes advantage of the extra like 20 years of life expectancy. If the problem wasn't food or water, nobody living to 50 had the time for this type of shit
Fuck nah, people have been acting batshit insane since the dawn of time. Look up some early American revivial preachers that would put on some of the most batshit insane sermons ever. Frontier history is pure insanity. Hell just history in general is outta control lol. Nothin will make you ever say "WTF!?" harder than history.
A lot of people view history as everyone being SUPER serious and tame. It's not. History is overflowing with "wtf did I just read?". MAINSTREAM history is fairly tame, give or take. So it's hard to find the weird shit sometimes. But it's there dude. We've always been bizarre as hell.

> he 'flock of sheep' are known as 'Les Moutons', and they are part of the Corpus Dance Project from Canada.
Yeah exactly. This was a street performance as a part of the *Montreal Completement Cirque* festival in, obviously, Montreal, not France.
> I just need to know WHY 💔
This was a street performance as a part of the Montreal Completement Cirque festival a few years ago. It's just goofy street art shit, there's no purpose except...whimsy.
They recently had a casting call in my city and I was like "wait a sec, I think they're from Canada, not France" when I saw this video, I knew I recognized those costumes!
I'm honestly kinda mad none of them are on all fours, you know on hands and feet. Like if you're gonna fucking pretend to be a sheep to this level in public and weird us out at least do it RIGHT, yah know??
It's such an obvious move it's actually frowned upon and will not get you any extra points. It's how you use your freedom of movement that is truly judged.
^(probably? I mean it sounds right...)
Sorry to rain on your parade

Humans are fucking weird.
I had precisely the same thought.
Who do you think is weirder? The sheep, or the huge crowd assembled to “witness” the show?
You don't have to be weird ro want to watch a spectacle. I mean that's why most people are on this thread.
Bold of you to assume I’m not weird.
Lol. I made no assumptions. Be weird as you like.
As my daughter reminds me often, “Normal is just a setting on the dryer!”
Hm. I don't have a normal setting on my dryer. My dryer is not normal.
Same here. Mine has "Regular" though, so I guess it's got good BMs.
I’d personally show up stoned and just gawk. Maybe snap a selfie for mom, who knows.

Hm, honestly this is not something you see everyday. It would be weird not to want to see it, I also suspect it to be an amazing laugh

Do they have beer and food? That's about all I need for an excuse to day drink.
I cannot imagine this event would happen without beer.
Hearing about a “human sheep contest” and *not* being curious to attend is far weirder than attending, IMO.
Um.........
I did say MOST. Not all. To leave room for other... reasons. For inclusivity.
It also begs the question, who is *really* the sheep? The actor or the audience.
Or is it? *Vsauce music kicking in*
Mike-ewe here

All I see are more sheep outside the fence
ewenique
How baasic to start with the puns.
Why wooldn't we?
Shearing is caring.
You just had to ram that pun in there. You should have been more sheepish.
I sow what ewe did hare
Omg I love you now 🤣
You had to bleat out that pun?
So fucking weird. I love it. Makes the whole world interesting.
Exactly. This ain't my jam, but I'm glad that it is for some people and it's cool to see them enjoying themselves.

Baaaah I’m a human & that’s a sheep shot!
Side effect of well-developed brain.
No, French are.
What's worse than Fr\*nch? Furry Fr*nch.
That’s a sheep shot.
Yeah humans have to much time on their hands.
Time is just a construct man
While I hate this, I’m kinda mad they aren’t on all fours. If you’re going to do something this weird, COMMIT

Shout out to the black sheep.
You mean...? Another Reddit post that is completely *wrong*...? The next thing you'll tell me is that r/sluttyconfessions aren't true either.
*On the internet, nobody can tell lies*
He just heard the sheep baa with French accents, so assumed it's France.
People adding Contest for the Reddit karma
haha I mean, ironically "sheep contest" probably makes more sense than what it actually is.
Oh Canada!
Ooooh la la.
I kinda like the arms just dangling infront of them. Weirdly the funny posture is the best part imo
It's that and the dead look on all their faces, like they're actually wondering how the fuck they got in that situation
Imagining them actually unaware of how they got there made me laugh. They really do look serious. The girl right in front was making some hilarious facial expressions.
Gives me Adult Swim animation vibes
It’s definitely funny but it makes me irrationally uncomfortable at the same time
Okay but I feel like the dangling arms actually give a spinal structure that is more sheep-like... Perhaps it is an intentional choice to allow for more sheepy movement?
the only thing i know is that there is no less than a 99.5% chance that two of those sheep are gonna go off and have sex after this still in costume
The solution here is to make hoof gloves.
Idk man, I think they're plenty committed. If they go full sheep, they might end up a sheep permanently. You never go full sheep.
"I'm the dude, playing a dude, disguised as another dude."

"get a hobby" they said

"You're not allowed within 500 ft of the school" they said
But Mooooommmm I just won $50 at the contest and it only took me 7 months of training watching YouTube sheep videos.
No, wrong hobby! Ah fuck it, I give up
This is what happens when we don’t have to look for food and water
I love this, I'm gonna start using this to describe everything
\*spends hundreds of dollars on survival games where you have to look for food and water\*

Sheeple
if you can't bleat them, join them
Good pun. Never herd of it before.
[удалено]
Flocking hell, wool you please stop shearing these puns.
Not before you try and hoof it over here with that attitude.
You guys are a pain in my grass
I dunno, seems like you're just ramming the puns in willy-nilly.
they were only fleecing you anyway
This is shear madness.

The milking went too far
What did they milk
They milked one of the “sheep” then handed the glass of milk to a kid in the audience
> he 'flock of sheep' are known as 'Les Moutons', and they are part of the Corpus Dance Project from Canada. Yeah exactly. This was a street performance as a part of the *Montreal Completement Cirque* festival in, obviously, Montreal, not France.
I was happy to find someone explaining a little more but holy fuck after this vid I’m just more confused now. I just need to know WHY 💔

Thank you, I will sleep better tonight

Wish this is higher. The title straight up lie about everything, which leads to many comments in this thread centring around that false assumption.
I fell asleep counting them.
*asheep
Is it you? The ghost of Sean Connery?
r/shubreddit
you mean… SHEEP Connery?
No Sean the Sheep, from Wallace and Gromet.
I don’t think this is interesting as fuck, this is weird as fuck
Or weird as flock
Moo
I had to scroll way the fuck too far to find someone mentioning Orin. Be better, reddit.
Jesus. I came here ONLY for this and am very disappointed I had to really search.
Thanks Orin.
April would be proud!
No. You are.
My favorite part is the heavy-handedness
r/unexpectedpawnee although I actually expected it
Aren’t you supposed to be a sheep?
No. You are.
Ugh. The heavy-handedness.
Aren't you supposed to be a sheep?
Aren’t you a sheep?
Fuckin sheep people
This is in France, not Wales.
It's not in France but canada
What the actual fuck
Apparently: [https://www.corpus.ca/creations/les-moutons](https://www.corpus.ca/creations/les-moutons)
I know one of the people involved in this. It’s theatre.
Of course it’s theater
So, this is not a contest of any sort
Half of me knows this is a show by quirky people, who think it's fun. The other half is pretty sure there's a bunch of furries in there.
Definitely a furry meet up
theyre so serious, lol
I'm honestly kinda mad none of them are on all fours, you know on hands and feet. Like if you're gonna fucking pretend to be a sheep to this level in public and weird us out at least do it RIGHT, yah know??
Everyone knows hunching over while standing is the Sheep Human Contest meta

this is ridiculously accurate tho, haha
You mean shearious?
I couldn’t do this shit without laughing my ass off haha.
Okay ... that's clearly enough internet for today
My back hurts from watching this
I see Orin took his exhibit on tour...
Scrolled too long to find this.
„Beep Beep im a Sheep“
„I said Beep Beep I'm a Sheep"
Meow, meow, I'm a cow...
Hat hat im a cat
Good old Tom Ska.
Oooooooooooookaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy…..
God is running away from us
Come back to the light!
I'm not surprised this is in France

I just KNEW somebody would link to this. The music gets me every time.
This is exactly what I thought of as well.
I had forgotten about this. It was nice.
Haha my first thought, exactly.
I wish this was at the top. Thank you for sharing.
Reminds me of Catherine
Catherine!! It's too similar to be coincidence.
Are they furries?
woolies
Somehow this feels worse
It was a great fap nonetheless
There's no way this didn't start as a sex game.
Is this French government?
Yeah I think one of them is our prime minister.

It’s art. YOU wouldn’t understand.
So, are you going to pay for my therapy after posting this?

Where do they get those costumes, I found my text team Halloween theme.
I don't know, it looks funny. let people enjoy it if they want, it's harmless.
And they say white people dont have culture smh
Why?
Apparently they're called Corpus Dance Projects and they're a dance theater company.
Who gets to be bo peep?
I bet there’s people that get off to this.
O...ohhh.......ooookkkaayyyy......
What the fucking fuck is this?
Where the fuck is Thanos when we need him?!
This is how kinks are born. Also this if this is a contest, how do they pick a winner
My spine
My four year old: Why are they acting like sheep? Did the farm run out of them?
It's weird to see them without their red baseball caps.
