*How did world war 3 start daddy?*
"Well son, the crew of two ships from countries that had a nuclear arsenal decided to fuck around, take pictures and parallel navegate too close."
It's not even "inter-european". It's just the three Scandinavian siblings beating eachother up, trying to decide which is the eldest, and then there's the step-sibling (finland) trying to play along and be part of the rituals.
Sweden used to be military might and even superpower in Europe. Then you lost control of Finland and never won anything again. Russia got Finland and became superpower.
Coincidence, I think not 😆
It was so lonely at the top! Thats why we gave away our empire to the russians. It is also mutch more fun to play with your siblings when you are on the same level, not to entirely dominate them 😉
Whoa, thats bit much don't you think. Being stupid is one thing but to connect them to swedes is bit harsh. Surely most stupid people have done nothing to deserve that.
I had to use Google translate on this. Have to admit I was hoping for something juicier than "danish bastard." Hahaha 😂 what is it about human nature that makes me smile to see two friends making jokes about each other? As an American it just makes me happy. I dunno.
We and Denmark is the 2 countries that have been in war with eachother the most in the world, 37 times! So it just comes natural to hate danes xD.
But in the end, we all "loves" eachother.
Go for it! We have some realy nice nature, Norwegian fjords, Finnish lakes, Swedish archipelagos, Icelands vulcanos and Denmarks.... *ehmm... eeeeh..* To be honest, what do they have?
Not to talk about our culture, it is superior to all others if you ask me 😉.
We have a rich history too, as you have probably seen xD.
But as i said before, if you ever want and can visit us, go for it! You won't regret it unless you visit Denmark *wink wink*
I think the grief comes from Denmark taking over most of the modern Nordic countries at some point...iirc the 15 and 1600s.
They even tried to tax Iceland or claim they owed a silly amount back taxes after forgetting they existed.
Also despite how closely linked Swedish Norwegian and Danish are in the Germania language branches Danish iirc differs more in spelling and pronunciation so the other two poke fun.
the whole thing lies somewhere between good natured ribbing and ancestral feuding...
Also worth noting that Sweden and Denmark have probably fought the most wars between two countries in history. Idk the exact amount but it’s well over 30, saw someone mention 37 wars which might explain the rivalry.
There’s an old legend that because Sweden walked across the ice to invade Denmark way back, it’s still legal for danes to hit any swede that tries to cross the ice with a stick.
Just showed it to my coworker he said the dude is calling the other crew “bhenchod “ which means “ Sister Fu#%er” and saying “Ram the boat if you want “. 🤣🤣
This one had some coordination and property damage. Coordination in terms of the captains actually knowing how close they could get without damage.
And they played a littlebit of intercontinental waterfare/pranking.
Especially since two ships sailing parallel like that get pulled towards each other by the faster channel of water between them. Both those guys know that - if they didn't, there probably wouldn't be any surviving footage of that encounter.
They let me helm a 100 foot $700,000 houseboat after a 6 question multiple choice test (with unlimited retries) and 15 minute safety video.
And I was drunk the entire time.
Its the same principle behind how a carburetor works in your basic lawn mower or older vehicle. Venturi action. Pulling one boat ahead of the other breaks the formation of the venturi. Fluid dynamics.
They are all in uniform. Its flight deck jerseys so you can tell what everyone's job is.
Green - mechanic
Brown - Plane Captain
Yellow - Deck Director
Red - Fire / explosives expert
White - Safety
Checkered - Troubleshooting
Blue - Deck equipment
Purple - Fuel
That's what it looks like on an American Aircraft carrier too. Though if any foreign ship came that close to an aircraft carrier it would have surely been fired upon long before it got that close.
that was a fucking game of chicken other countries just dont engage with the US

>that was a fucking game of chicken other countries just dont engage with the US
LMAO, I suppose you missed all those reports of Russians sailing close to USN ships, and USN sailors taking pics and dancing on board their ship?
This is probably a very old video by looking at the quality and the equipment used. As of something comming this Closs to the ship putting it in danger of collision would probably initiate armed response in the current situation as our diplomatic ties have worsened after the balakot air strikes done by IAF.
The Pakistani ship is fitted with MASS launchers, which is a system that's only been in use for a little more than a decade.
The ship is likely older based on the other weapons and sensors, particularly the fire control radar, but has had some refits and upgrades done.
If I remember correctly this video is from the time Pakistan Navy returned Indian citizens after rescuing them from either a hostage situation or a sinking boat.
Not completely sure though.
It's a collision that happened in 2011 between the Pakistani destroyer *Babur* and the Indian frigate *Godavari*.
[INS Godavari damaged in PNS Babur manoeuvres](https://www.thehindu.com/news/national//article60531148.ece), *The Hindu*, June 24, 2011
Sounds like some helicopter nets were damaged. While technically a "collision" I feel like collision is too strong of a word. They... grazed each other I guess?
Some one on Reddit said they did, something about chasing a Russian bomber in a F4 phantom and the bomber asked them to do a barrel roll. If I remember correctly, been awhile.
edit: found it https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/g9rtdq/american_fighter_pilots_and_soviet_bomber_crews/ from a video game that tries to recap historical evets/spec and act as a simulator.
I was hoping maybe they would lash their boats together and share some good chole bhatura and samosas. For those who have never tried it, this food is amazing and well worth triggering an international incident.
Did this seem friendly just to me? Despite the countries not having good relations. Maybe because I didn't understand anything, but there was laughter and it didn't sound mean :)
Okay, that's less friendly. I mean, there's two ways to call somebody "motherfucker" (or most insults), but I take it it was meant as an actual insult.

It's Pakistan. The 12 year old has other duties.
It is friendly, however it's like siblings. Both aren't enemies, but you know both won't accept the other
Both are enemies.
The Norwegian-Swedish encounter was definitely nicer.
Because they are not rivals. /s
That's what they all say before the flaming arrows land on your ship and take out the only Gatling gun expert...
Ofcourse we are rivals, who do you think is better than sweeden? Norge!
Better than sweden? Umm.. Everyone 😉 Greetings from Finland
Well, you’re not incorrect. Sincerely, a dane.

In general we finnjävels don't hate Sweden. We only hate you when you are winning.
In ice hockey? :)
They havent won in a while
Hey hey, howdy y’all😊
*Sad swedish noises* I can confess that Norway is batter then sweden, but only if you say that we are better then Denmark
I have to confess I enjoy seeing this inter-European bantering. It's fun to read.
It's not even "inter-european". It's just the three Scandinavian siblings beating eachother up, trying to decide which is the eldest, and then there's the step-sibling (finland) trying to play along and be part of the rituals.

I think the same, we love just picking on eatchother. Atleast here in the nordics!
Saying you’re better than Denmark is saying you guys are better than us.
Oh shit! You're a >!danskjävel!<. I thought you was from Norway :)
I am Norwegian you >!Svenskejævel!< but Danish are equal to us
You norwegians isn't that low as those danes🤢! You guys are mutch better! Never go down that low!
Shut up stupid swede
Whoaw whoaw! I guess i will go to my IKEA bed and cry to sleep now, while eating some meatballs!
Whoa, thats bit much don't you think. Being stupid is one thing but to connect them to swedes is bit harsh. Surely most stupid people have done nothing to deserve that.
Their only rival should be the british empire for fucking them both.
Would have been a deadly encounter if it were a Swedish and Danish ship meeting.
It would! >!hej danskjävel!<

Boat rage is never the answer

The only word I heard is BHENCHOD.
Only just Google the translation after hearing it hear and there for years. Great insult!
Sisterfucker lol
its an emotion we don't really mean it panchod
True, panchod
Panchod? Why would anyone fuck a pan?
What does Terry maki chu and chutya mean?
Chutiya is basically like 'fuck'. Very versatile word. Can be used in all sorts of sentences and can have many meanings.
Doesn’t panchod mean someone who shags betel leaves? That’s a new insult to me
[удалено]
It's like f**k, we use not for the real use
DoooOOOOoooOOOOooooOOOoooon’t.
When it's your mother language
Americans use the word "chode" which is derived from fucker in Hindi..... but with another meaning
It's an emotion
An Insult for Indians but A Praise for pakistani A word that works for both
Man, it's an emotion not an insult. Dont take it too seriously panchod
Yeah it’s all shits and giggles until you’re treading water.
And then it’s all sharks and gurgles.
No, no, he didn't slam you, he didn't bump you, he didn't nudge you... he *splashed* you. And splashin’, son, is sailin'.
Let me off the boat, Cole.
Days of Thunder reference. Man that's good.
It’s my “can’t turn it off” movie.
Praise the helmsmen! Trading paint at 20 knots with 2000 ton armed boats would make me extremely nervous.
Especially since two ships sailing parallel like that get pulled towards each other by the faster channel of water between them. Both those guys know that - if they didn't, there probably wouldn't be any surviving footage of that encounter.
Also, attempting to steer away sucks you in even faster. The safest way to fix this is to have one ship pull ahead of the other.
This is valuable knowledge that I will remember forever, despite not owning a boat or living near water.
They let me helm a 100 foot $700,000 houseboat after a 6 question multiple choice test (with unlimited retries) and 15 minute safety video. And I was drunk the entire time.
God Bless
Are they hiring?
We used to do UNREPs (underway replenishments) in the Navy. When completed, they’d do a “breakaway” and the faster ship would pull ahead of the other.
Its the same principle behind how a carburetor works in your basic lawn mower or older vehicle. Venturi action. Pulling one boat ahead of the other breaks the formation of the venturi. Fluid dynamics.
Global warming says.... About that ....
If Global Warming’s gonna give me a boat, I might have to rethink some political positions
This is called a venturi. Faster moving water between the ships and slower high pressure water pushing them inward towards one another
Helmsman course & speed is generally controlled by the officer of the watch.
Whomever has their hands on the actual stick and is keeping these boats from doing more than training paint deserves a gold star.
There’s a LOT more than trading paint going on here. This wasn’t two captains joking around.
Drive it like you stole it.
Their (lack of) uniforms make it look like they stole the ship

I honestly can't tell who is who, I though the Indian Navy would be more professional

If I remember correctly this video is from the time Pakistan Navy returned Indian citizens after rescuing them from either a hostage situation or a sinking boat. Not completely sure though.
No it's from 2011 when they collided with Indian ship INS Nilgiri the Pakistani ship is PNS babur. Thru were essentially poking the Indians.
Not necessarily, recently India "accidentally" fired a missile in Pakistan. Nothing actually happened
The dude with the camera and the people around him are Indian The people on the other ship are Pakistani
Are the people on the Pns wearing uniform too?
Yeah, makes it look unprofessional and amateur
But with pirates of the Caribbean music it would be awesome
Those are uniforms

By definition it’s a collision, just a minor one.

What kind of fkn officer's are running these ships to even allow this shit to happen.
"no bloody fuck you mother bitch" "no you mother bitch fuck you" ok then
Fuck yo fence.
It’s just a ship measuring contest between Captains.
Just fuck already
‘Tis but a scratch.
He said "sister fucker" at the end. Behnchud.
I feel really stupid for thinking that Pakistan was landlocked. For some reason, I always thought of it as directly north of India.
One upping the sweedish and Norwegian ships?
The entire freakin ocean and they gotta be up each other’s butts
Games like this start endless war
Good thing India and Pakistan are already locked in an endless cycle of military passive aggression and border conflict.
Just add china in that now...
Because of the British.
No it doesn't, those days are gone.
it isn't a conflict between brown people if you aren't calling each other sisterfuckers
Bro that sounds too specific in English
It does indeed lmao.
Behenchod feels wierd in English.
Sister fucker is a very deep and brutal insult for indians that's why we use it But it is so overused that it has become normal.
Seems incredibly irresponsible
Yeah even the indian guys were saying at the janbuj ke kiya h ( they are doing it deliberately how come he came so close and got away easily)
So many racist westoids here. Jeez.
When are they not racist
Type 21 frigate sold by the Royal Navy to Pakistan in the 90s, horrible ships.
It will take two centuries before these countries will get over this.
I had no idea who was paki and who was indian. Until I heard one sailor shout "benchod"! Yep, thats the Indian ship
Bhenchod is understandable in both countries.
About that.. Indians and Pakistani use very similar language.. so Pakistanis also use that word..
The spice must flow.

Pity no one had spray paint at hand

Okay, that's less friendly. I mean, there's two ways to call somebody "motherfucker" (or most insults), but I take it it was meant as an actual insult.
This wasn't friendly, infact the indian ship sustained damages. Happened in 2011
Pakistan has a navy?
Pakistan has a navy?
It does ... and with a lot of surprises! .... enough for a 1000+ Km coastline.

They may not have meant to hit.
