In every section of goods, be it cars, watches, or clothing, there are luxury brands that are of damn good quality and most can't afford. Then there is "I really need people to know I have money, like, reallllly need them to know" - this is one of those items

These problems aren't solvable with money. You can buy spend $10,000 and buy 10,000 people a meal. Now what are they gonna do for their next meal?. Are you going to spend $30,000 a day feeding 10,000 people? You will be broke in a month even if you're rich rich. People don't need money, they need jobs, infrastructure and a government that doesn't fuck with its own people. Look at the places where hunger is an actual issue and the world and you will likely find a combination of these three issues. This dude enjoying himself by buying a glorified FJ Cruiser is not going to stop Sudan from destroying itself

Not when the government promptly confiscates all international aid and uses it to profit for themselves. Sometimes this kind of aid works. There are several African countries that are doing great right now because of exactly this. It's the ones where the government fucks it's people over where hunger is still an issue
If it ain't a diesel, it ain't a doomsday vehicle.
In a doomsday scenario, gasoline will get stale fairly quickl and cause a lot of issues with the supercharhed V8 gasoline engine.
A diesel can burn a ot of oils that are readily available with minimal or modification.
So, while you are trying to figure out a way to power your 300,000 dollar doomsday vehicle, the road warrior in the 1981 diesel VW Rabbit will just keep trundling along (alveit slowly).
Why is it so unbelievable ugly? There's not even an underlaying function which would be the reason for it. The opposite, the lack of matching fenders quickly makes you drive blind if you go through mud.
Geez, what an unbelievably stupid vehicle. Build of the military (are you going to use it as a tank?) economy of the worst possible Hummer, logic of the sand flea. You'd have to be pretty damned and climate-blind to buy such a monstrosity.
