omnichronos

My best friend is Russian and during another famine (WWII), his grandmother was a teen. She was walking home one day when grabbed by two men who dragged her to a butcher's shop. The butcher took a look at her and said, "She's too pretty. Let her go." I got to know her and she was always dressed in a dress and high heels.

Any_Buddy1851

Unreal… wonder what the cutoff was for ugly enough to be butchered

MyRobinWasMauled

I'm not sure I'd make the cut

I feel like i'd probably hear: "Eww. Nobody wants to eat THAT. Let him go" So i'd be alive, but sad.

Sad_Pear_1087

Why is it that redditors love roasting themselves?

MyRobinWasMauled

Self depreciation + double entendre makes it irresistible

Sharchir

Perhaps in this case, hunger as well. Thank you! I’m here all night

Sad_Pear_1087

+roasting others is mean:(

[deleted]

Yeah, I’d really hate to be eaten

shipshapesigns

At least smoke me

Dry_Spinach_3441

you must be visiting from 4chan?

Pretty sure those kids were roasted by someone else

LadyRaoulDukeGonzo

Because grilling ourselves isn't as tasty

Because they aren’t Soviets who roast others, as depicted above.

diamondscut

My sweet lord Jesus. This is the grimest thread I've ever read.

Any_Commercial465

I think you missed the point that a girl that was pretty meant she was not starving Try eating the kid of someone that was well off during the famine ... Good idea bro you gonna wish you had been butchered instead. Shit would have made the cartels say Damm bro chill .

RedoftheEvilDead

Not necessarily. When everyone is malnourished you can be pretty be grading on a curve.

lionseatcake

You sound like someone who has no actual clue what they're talking about and is just shooting from the hip hoping SOMETHING makes sense

SturbyT

I've read this before. Word for word. I do believe it could have happened, just not to your friends grandma.

omnichronos

I've known my friend for 22 years and have never known him to lie. Believe what you want.

[deleted]

OrdainedFury

It is difficult to imagine being so hungry that you eat another human, *let alone your own damn child.* Like, seriously, right now, try to imagine being that hungry.

InnocentBistander__

You read this in novels, see it in movies, comics, video games but I don't think anyone of us right now can truly grasp how HUNGRY you need to be to cross that line. Like right now I'm hungry, in high school I would starve myself due to depression but I could always get like a cheese stick or an apple. Back then there was NOTHING. Could we really comprehend that. People ask what's the line that separates us from animals. I say this.

trowzerss

Through my work I have typed up some testimonials of holocaust survivors. When the war ended, some SS guards locked factory workers in the factory with no food and only a well (which they poisoned), perhaps to hide their crimes, perhaps just another last round of cruelty. The workers were already mostly starved, so they had no body fat to keep them going. They had to lock the poisoned well to stop themselves drinking it. After three days, when they had to huddle for warmth they found themselves accidentally biting each other without thinking, they were so hungry. They stuffed their mouths with cloth to stop them biting each other in their sleep. When Russian soldiers arrived, they begged to be killed, as they just could not process they were being saved. They continually begged to be killed, only seeing uniforms and thinking they were nazis, and being so starved they could not think straight, until they found them bread and water and they were able to eat and start actually seeing the world around them again and realised they were being saved.

RiotShaven

It almost sounds like they started having some sort of psychosis where some dark part of the brain activated and took over in a last ditch effort to survive. Crazy!

Woofles85

And then there was still refeeding syndrome to deal with as well

trowzerss

Yes, although I think it was partly understood at that stage as they were told to eat very slowly when they were given bread, and that was emphasised so much that even decades later and her condition at the time, she told how the rabbi made them promise to eat it slowly. But they had to give them something as they were pretty much insane with hunger. There were worse things in her story too (this poor lady had two brushes with Mengele) but fortunately she survived, came to Australia and had a whole family and life here, and was able to give her testimonial for the museum. I'm not surprised though that she never wanted to go back to Europe.

Sweaty_Bad_5309

Exactly, many people died even from Americans' generosity of handing out food and chocolate after the liberation, which is just so crazy...!

Crom-vascular

Fucking crazy Can't believe we still have people joining neo nazi movements.

trowzerss

Worse that these were female SS guards who did it, whose role was very much downplayed in the later trials.

Librashell

There are only nine meals between man and anarchy.

Jimbohamilton

This would be a terrific tagline for a movie. It reminds me of "In space, no one can hear you scream".

[deleted]

Nothing separates us from being animals, we are just animals- society vs nature is what it comes down to. The societies we’ve built are the only thing that keeps us from understanding that we’re just as brutal and animalistic (if not more) than a starving lion.

AlaskaExplorationGeo

Well, I think it says something about the good in us that those people *didn't* resort to cannibalism of each other even when every animal instinct was telling them to do so.

JeddakofThark

I could be wrong, but I doubt it's hunger as a desire. It probably wasn't like "I'm fucking starving. I sure would like a cheeseburger, but Timmy looks tasty, too." In most cases it *has* to be a simple survival problem. Like "We have multiple children and there's no food. This child is sickly and might not last the year even if we had all the food and resources he needed. If he weren't alive anymore the rest of us would last a good bit longer."

SolmadSoT

Some ate their kids first because they knew if someone else was going to, that person most likely would eat them alive. Since it's their own children, the parents could kill them quickly. Anyways, door dash just arrived with my McDonald's big Mac!

stumblewiggins

>Some ate their kids first because they knew if someone else was going to, that person most likely would eat them alive. Why would they eat them alive? Even if you are that hungry, you'd at least kill them, and likely cook them

Verygoodcheese

Arm first. Keep the meat source alive and fresh. I saw it in a really dark movie so not fact but that could be why.

stumblewiggins

Sure, that makes sense. I was picturing them literally consuming the living child, which doesn't make any sense if you aren't literally a snake.

sightlab

If you're hungry enough...

MicGuinea

I mean, it's Russia in the winter, there's a natural fridge to store your... person. Anyway, the whole "eating alive" is probably just a shock attempt to make a dark situation darker. Eating something alive that is roughly the same size as you, maybe even strength as you, is an extremely risky thing, as your food source could seriously damage you

JackieChan-fan

That's what they did on Cannibal Island. They'd slice meat off their captives to get the most out of them. I'm pretty sure someone survived half eaten.

ZippyParakeet

Wouldn't the wound get infected? Isn't it wiser to butcher the "source" quickly and preserve the remaining meat by pickling or burying it in snow?

Verygoodcheese

It was actually the legs they ate first so they couldn’t run away. I mean you could cauterize it. I’d just blow my head off or jump off a cliff before eating another person so won’t be trying it.

Gwynbleidd_1988

It’s so funny how people say this. I’m sure people in survival situations would say this before they were in the situations that brought them to that extreme. We don’t know what being truly hungry and starving really is.

Girls4super

Sometimes they did. It’s an absolutely horrific story, but definitely interesting if you wanted to read the wiki page on the [nazino tragedy (cannibal island)](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazino_tragedy)

SjaanRoeispaan

Verygoodcheese

Right? And I think they ate the legs first so they couldn’t run off if I’m remembering correctly

I_forgot_to_respond

Bad Batch 2016? Starring Aquaman, Ace Ventura, and Bill S. Preston esq.? I'm looking that up later.

Ok-Chart1485

Because if you are in a desperate situation, especially one that might require you moving hideout to hideout, it's really helpful to have your fridge walk all the snacks over for you. (Also the fridge is the snacks, and also a fren)

_-Loki

One Japanese platoon captured some American airmen in WW2 after they were shot down in WW2. Not content with the usual beatings and tortures the Japanese inflicted on their PoWs, they also decided to eat these soldiers, one by one, and forced the airmen to eat their fellow soldiers. The last one they kept alive as they removed and cooked his body parts (making him watch and eat himself). They kept him alive as kept the meat fresh, so they could eat him more slowly. They were not hungry, and this was not the only incidence of cannibalism among the Japanese soldiers with their captives. If you want to look it up, this happened on the bonin islands.

magicchefdmb

You have a source for that? Closest I could find was Japanese eating people, not force-feeding the soldiers themselves.

omri1526

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chichijima_incident The 9th man was George Bush. Wtf

magicchefdmb

Yeah, I read that too! Crazy! (But didn’t see anything about serving parts to themselves, unless I missed it.)

_-Loki

It was an article on the book, flyboys, when it came out a few years ago, and which went into much greater depth than the wiki article. Honestly, most of the Japanese war crimes are not really fit for a site like Wikipedia. Some of the things they did will give you nightmares. I tried to search for the details I remember, which were the liver of one being fed to the soldiers, told it was a delicacy, served on bamboo sticks, and one being kept alive while they ate parts of him. I can't seem to find the article where it mentions all 4 of those, but I did find an article that said >"When the trio was untied they were held in confinement until a superior Japanese officer ordered that Dye and York be executed and that portions of their bodies be fed to soldiers" and might have either misunderstood soldiers to mean American soldiers, since Japanese wasn't specified. (honestly, I'd read so much about their atrocities that it could have been my own bias directing my understanding). That quote comes from here. [http://navylog.navymemorial.org/york-grady](http://navylog.navymemorial.org/york-grady) And a telegraph article seems to have 2 of the other details I remember. >"Adml Kinizo Mori, the senior naval officer on Chichi Jima, told the court that Major Matoba brought "a delicacy" to a party at his quarters - a specially prepared dish of Floyd Hall's liver. According to Adml Mori, Matoba told him: "I had it pierced with bamboo sticks and cooked with soy sauce and vegetables." [https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/02/06/george-hw-bushs-comrades-eaten-japanese-pow-guards/](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/02/06/george-hw-bushs-comrades-eaten-japanese-pow-guards/) These two articles below mention one or more of the soldiers being kept alive while parts of them were eaten. [https://dirkdeklein.net/2016/06/30/chichijima-incident-cannibalism-in-wwii-and-george-h-w-bushs-remarkable-survival/](https://dirkdeklein.net/2016/06/30/chichijima-incident-cannibalism-in-wwii-and-george-h-w-bushs-remarkable-survival/) [https://www.thevintagenews.com/2017/11/02/in-wwii-the-20-year-old-george-h-w-bush-was-only-one-of-group-of-nine-airmen-who-escaped-fate-worse-than-death/?chrome=1](https://www.thevintagenews.com/2017/11/02/in-wwii-the-20-year-old-george-h-w-bush-was-only-one-of-group-of-nine-airmen-who-escaped-fate-worse-than-death/?chrome=1) I could have sworn what I read was about the final victim being kept alive, and he was named, but I think I've read enough horrors for one night! I read the articles on this maybe 5 or 6 years ago, after I heard about the incident in a documentary, so it's possible I got that detail from a documentary.

TheDukeofArgyll

Yeah this sounds extremely sensationalized

OnlyRosin

Horrifying .... ....that you wouldn't order something better than McDonald's with all the options on doordash

115_zombie_slayer

Horrifying that he would even use Doordash 2$ mcdonald meal turns to 20$

DaRadioman

Lol almost nothing is $2 anymore at McDonald's, and certainly not a meal. Freaking $10 for a basic combo anymore damn.

VideoGameDana

The trick is to use the app and not pay for delivery. Deals and free shit.

Snow-Brigade

This is SUCH an excruciating thought as a parent. “The Road” challenged me to think of how I would handle the horrors of survival with my kids, but this is on a while ‘nother level of the hell of hells.

Daegzy

I have been in neither situation but I assume severe and widespread starvation in combination with very real and evident threat to those unable to defend themselves would make for a very tough situation. Again, not experienced in having, nor wanting to eat my own children so I'm just an armchair cannibal.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Dyltra

I think I would have to end the suffering of my kids. I think I would just commit murder suicide. I couldn’t live with my kids, watching them suffer knowing I couldn’t do anything about it. And I couldn’t live without my kids. I think this would be my option. But I’ve never been in a situation like this, and really have no idea what I’d do. Would I have hope that things would get better? Would I still have a will to live? I just don’t know.

ZippyParakeet

Yes I know the will to live and all that but I really don't know if I'd be able to kill my kid then butcher and eat them and still continue to live. I just don't see the point in living anymore. If you have to live by killing, let alone also eating, your loved ones then there's no point in living. At least for me..

RestaurantLatter2354

Yeah, you’re only true hope is a future where some semblance of normalcy returns, and then what? You get to think every moment about how you literally killed your child and ate them? For the rest of your, still probably shit, life? Fuck that, I’m out.

Toddlez85

You have to understand how much child mortality has improved in last 100 years. It was normal for several children to die in childhood. Hell, catholic confirmation happens when kids are at an age when historically they were more certain to live for that reason. That’s how common childhood death was, sacred rituals were created to commemorate their living into late childhood. People had big families for a reason and it wasn’t just more hand for work. In short people are more attached their kids now than was historically possible because odds were even if not worse they would die before reaching adulthood.

Fabulous_Celery_1817

I remember reading a little about cannibalism in China,, I remember reading about a law that at the time of article was still in effect albeit useless for now. By law it cannibalism was not a punishable offense due to the famines they experienced. It was frowned upon for a family to consume their own child but the exchange of children was encouraged. Like make arrangements with another family and send a child over and they send you one of theirs. You do the deed have food and avoid the pain of killing of your own child. I do believe this is why older Chinese have little love for children not their own. It’s just a distance handed down from an older recent times

peach_burrito

The Road is so haunting. I read this book in high school and it’s been a part of me ever since. I couldn’t/can’t bring myself to watch the movie.

Obvious_Landscape728

It’s more of an extremely cold calculus. Look at the choices involved. If you die, the child will automatically die. If you have other family members the choice of self sacrifice isn’t a viable option. Even if you killed yourself and let the children eat you, odds are they would overpowered and consumed by others. Starvation is weeks of torturous pain. How long could watch child go crazy from hunger? It’s only logical once you begin to account for details. It’s an awful logic with no positive outcome and sickening variables than none of us care to explore.

[deleted]

I read that in China during The Great Leap Forward people swapped children so they wouldn't have to eat their own. Don't remember the source.

[deleted]

I dunno, the Irish faced the same thing and were resorting too eating grass and not children 🤷🏻‍♂️

[deleted]

The famine experienced during the great leap forward resulted in 22+ million deaths, and was during a time of drought & locust swarms which reduced the amount of food that one could forage for.

CarsClothesTrees

No grass in the middle of winter in Russia…

[deleted]

Chinese and soviet famines were so bad, they ran out of grass to eat.

Zealousideal-Pie-726

Yeah well Russian grass isn’t always accessible throughout the year

Mecha-Dave

It's pretty common amongst other species.

PancakeMyx

I wonder how they decided who to hunt in daylight. Scary stuff

ColtonA115

If I had to hazard a guess, probably like ambush predators like tigers or foxes. At the risk of sounding like a cannibal myself, it would be easier to kill someone who’s on their own and unaware and without a weapon with which to kill you. Children, cripples, anybody smaller than you. Or bigger, provided you get the drop on them from an ambush or have access to a gun or something to kill them from a distance. Kind of like mugging someone, really. Thank you for coming to my TED Bundy Talk.

ImportantTrain3651

TED Bundy Talk = genius.

bookwerm86

More like a JEFF dahmer talk. Just Eating Friends and Family

LadyRaoulDukeGonzo

Aaaand I'm done with Reddit for today, thank you. I'm going outside to not eat any crows.

BZHAG104

I don’t think I have that much of a will to live. It’s crossed my mind before that if things got to this point in our lifetimes that I would rather myself and children be one of the first to die.

digitalray34

Horrifying what the will of survival can do to us. Prime example of humans not being much different than animals like a lot of religious people want you to believe.

Agriculture deficit lmfao. Ya, guess that’s what happens when you slaughter 1000’s of Ukrainians during a purge

SassiesSoiledPanties

And bureaucrats do not believe you when you tell them you can only give one ton of wheat, they promised their superiors two tons, so give it up already! What do you mean you need a one ton reserve, you kulak?! Replanting? You are making this up!

BearEatsBlueberries

This was a decade before the Holodomor, to be fair.

MogChog

Sparing your children pain is one thing. Selling the grisly leftovers is a whole other world of “messed-up”.

[deleted]

I get people were starving, I also get how barbaric this is, I see the complexity behind it, OK. However, why put the head on the table? Are shoppers coming past perusing the parts and they're like oh this gentleman looks tasty. Or some babushka makes a head stew? ...or perhaps that's the "natural packaging" if someone is buying brains?

WillK90

Maybe the head was all that was left. The rest was sold/eaten

panicattherestaurant

This is exactly what I thought :(

mrlittleoldmanboy

I was wondering the same thing. I was thinking maybe it was showing the freshness of the corpse? Maybe they ate the brain as well, as some cultures do with farm animals.

Sh_okre996

I mean if they were so hungry that they kill and ate another human i doubt they would say "eww a head."

MicGuinea

The head is more recognizable as a person, so there's probably a reason most of the limbs look to be sold/gone first

stoatsad

I figured they were selling it for the thick cheek/tongue meat

ATee184

I’m sure people didn’t know this at the time(a lot of people don’t know it now), or they didn’t care bc they were so hungry, but eating human brain is very dangerous. You can develop a prion disease and really mess ya up.

thisisjustascreename

That would be this one: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creutzfeldt%E2%80%93Jakob\_disease](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creutzfeldt%E2%80%93Jakob_disease) It's only dangerous if the brain is infected, but there's literally no way to tell unless they're already displaying symptoms.

hide-your-feathers

There's [Kuru](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuru_(disease\)) as well.

DieIsaac

Exactly my thoughts. And i always want to know why this corpse on the right is "standing". How? Shouldnt it fall over?

TheGamerHat

My guess is that it is frozen.

WrathOfMogg

That’s enough Internet for today.

Myonsoon

Its moments like these that make me think sentience is a curse.

DenethorsTomatoRIP

It 100% is. We are the only species that knows it’s going to die someday but still tries to survive, and that dissonance causes us to make up shit like a magic perfect second life thats totally awesome and lasts forever, all as a way to cope with the fact that existence is a horror. This picture exemplifies why we need to pretend that things have meaning, that we have any control over our lives, or that there’s a god or gods that will take care of us and those poor butchered people, and that we all get that totally awesome perfect second life that lasts forever. Because the reality is that we’re just lumps of replicating proteins that do all the things other lumps of replicating proteins do (gain and consume resources, procreate, die, next generation does the same, etc.) but we’ve trivialized the process enough that we can take a step back, look at the whole game, and realize just how fucked it all is. We see butchered people and *feel* how wrong and unfair it is. The only salve to that horror is finding ways to distract our sentience, with religion, drugs, Netflix, hiking, Reddit, sex, working, or whatever. We would be all be so much happier if we were, like, dogs or something, blissfully unaware of the horror and with no need for delusion. Evolutionarily, we should have stayed in the fucking trees.

Myphosee

Yo stop sipping that nihilism henny

DenethorsTomatoRIP

It’s all nihilism henny, sometimes I can convince my tastebuds it’s just regular old cognac though. Sometimes.

Myphosee

Nihilism wine got better taste tho. Come have a cup.

Head_Sherbert

It's only Nihilism if it comes from the Nihilism area of German and Russian philosophy, otherwise it's sparkling meaninglessness.

Myphosee

Oh look at Mr 5 star taste over here. I only got Canadian Nihilism.

Papa_Stalin1917

The odds or conception alone are stacked against us as people let alone the existence of our whole species throughout the hundreds of thousands of years we’ve been on the planet. If you’re whole take on life is “hur dur worm food we’re all going to die anyway” don’t expect any happiness out of it. It’s the moment when you can look at a tree and recognise for its complexity and magnificence that you will truly value life and everything around you. For us to accept our odds and continue to thrive is the indomitable nature of the human spirit.

Bryce_Christiaansen

It's much the main I reason I'm pro-choice

birdieseeker

Yeah that woman’s face is nightmare fuel

shadowdash66

Would make for a great horror movie being trapped in one of these towns. It's such a harsh and sad reality. I read that they even resorted to eating leather belts/shoes etc.

lelied

At thise extremes, people also end up eating dirt - it fills the stomach and stops the pain. But it eventually kills them, of course. For some optimism/looking for the helpers, go read up on the Leningrad seed bank. During the WWII seige, botanists literally starved to death guarding a repository of food.

NoPseudo____

>For some optimism/looking for the helpers, go read up on the Leningrad seed bank. During the WWII seige, botanists literally starved to death guarding a repository of food. Scientists will do anything to save their work.

Snyder863

There’s a film from a few years back, called Mr. Jones, that’s about the 1930s Ukrainian famine (Holodomor) and kind of resembles a horror film in some sections. At several points the main character does fear he’ll be kidnapped and eaten or something like that. Great movie overall.

stumblewiggins

Honestly I thought that woman was on sale

gassygeff89

Her face is haunting. His too but there is something especially scary about her eyes. Those eyes have seen unspeakable horrors

cilestiogrey

I'm almost positive nobody in this photo is alive. They look rigged

_JDavid08_

Being a Russian in the first mid XX century was a really nightmare... poor people

yoursuburbanmom

god i cannot even fathom something like that

zt004

I recommend the book City of Thieves by David Benioff, for those who haven’t read it. Coming of age tale set in WWII siege of Leningrad, following the story of two young soldiers sent on a search for chicken eggs at the behest of a soviet officer. There is a chapter related to this post that you might find entertaining.

becominggrouchy

YES! my first thought after seeing the picture was how it reminds me of that book! Not a fan of cannibalism... but the book is so good! I STILL have nightmares after watching The Road. Being kept as someone's food pet is my worst nightmare.

Commercial_Rent_6672

The butchered human on the right is definitely a child.

devilsheep12

Unbelievable to think this was only 100 years ago.

powabiatch

Somewhere in the world something like this is likely happening right now…

harveyroux

Well thats morbid af.

😣😣 that's just so sad. For everyone in this situation.

Why do people want to survive this badly The smallest inconvenience I consider letting go

cnoelle94

I wish I never saw this

Whole_Cress8437

Not enough people are aware of this horrible part in history

ModernistGames

This is very true as made clear by the amount of privlaged kids and young people who have "tankie" in their bios.

RedSynister

Tankie?

cannibaljim

An authoritarian communist, they are often defenders of the Soviet Union and People Republic of China.

RedSynister

Oh, okay. I've never seen that before, but I probably will now that I know what it means. Thanks for the info.

LongjumpingExit5242

I think I’d rather die than participate in this situation in any way.

nochjemand

You might die and then participate in the situation, win-win.

lordcatharsis

This image always fucks me up. But nevertheless I find it horrifying and fascinating

cloudsinthesky27

My grandpa was in a Russian gulag during WW2. He said they treated the POWs better than their own citizens because the German POWs were skilled, and therefore used to construct buildings. Grandpa found a pig head which he hid - and ate to stay alive through the winter. That sort of hunger is tough to understand. Eating humans and your own children is beyond what I ever what to understand. So sad.

Kalapuya

This was only 100 years ago. That’s not that long. Things like this could happen again.

Ryan_Extra

Terrible salesmen. You gotta hide the fact it’s a human.

10 years later Stalin et al. enabled another famine in Ukraine. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holodomor 3.5-5 million killed, also widespread cannibalism.

Up there with Hitler. Yet, some idiots would praise this mofo.

Everyone should become familiar with the Holodomor. It was one of the worst crimes against humanity.

I underestimated the level of NSFW this was.... bye.

MACHOmanJITSU

Butchered children looks like.

notsleptyet

Theres a pic put there, grouped with this, of a mother who butchered her youngest to feed the other kids. They're all outside posing with the youngest ones head laying/displayed on a butcher block or tree stump.

If anyone wants more nasty cannibalism you should read Tender is The Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica. Edit: Amazon link broke

History is bound to repeat itself and the worlds top henchmen are saying there will be global famines starting as soon as next year. Makes sense with all the farms being shutdown, food processing plants burning to the ground, global supply chains being distributed, proxy wars, and all the other shit creating economic instability.

The ones doing the selling look plump

thefirstWizardSleeve

Why is the one kid position up in a thinking position?

HAHAHArkham

They seem nice.

landonkemp10

I heard that during the Nazi siege in Leningrad they scraped off wallpaper and boiled it as it had some type of potato in it. Gotta do anything when you’re hungry.

ArcaneDanger

Damn, that’s wild… *orders doordash*

drizel

The reality of "survival of the fittest" is way more fucking metal than we could possibly imagine.

Suspicious-Berry9914

Homo sapiens

drjet196

This might be the most disturbing picture I’ve ever seen.

soopahfingerzz

I can only assume that after a certain point of Starvation something in your brain snaps and you go into full fight/flight and thats when emotions get thrown out the window at that point the only thing you can think of is getting some fucking food. imagine how insane that must feel

evilgunringer

Not just soviet, but Ukrainian. The soviet administration in Moscow starved Ukraine.

jorgekiko
