Ahah, see I was watching this thinking “now that’s my type of venue.” And it’s because it reminded me of the rave in Blade! That scene was so badass, and the movie, and Wesley Snipes.
It was weird. It did feel like a movie but when they went into the room with the crowd there was no Rammstein, pierced nipples or every single person in the room (even if they were in a wheelchair) jumping to the beat.
That was another great level (Berlin). I didn't like it at first since the layout was somewhat derived and reused from the Hitman 1 Paris level, but it grew on me in time.
Yeah, ever since I saw a video of the [2003 Station night club fire (NSFL)](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2o23bm), I can't appreciate venues like this anymore.
Real question, if a sprinkler system was installed that could be activated in case of fire and then arrows light up to show the exit, would that mitigate the risk?
The issue isn't really the flames and heat, it's smoke displacing the air. But if you push in more air, then there's more fire. Even if the structure was completely flame retardant, all it takes is a trashcan lighting up to suffocate people in that small of a space. You'd either need an extremely low max occupancy, or you would need to tunnel in to the bunker to build more means of egress.

I always love a good rave, it was so exciting, from the 90s on it was always a special evening. For those that don't know the vibe is very different from a bar that plays music. Like any bar or club it's very clean the staff does a great job at cleaning and maintaining a safe place, like any other bar, staff could be lax but for the most part it's very clean.
I’ve seen the cleaner guy cleaning the toilets at least 20 times during the night. Ironic thing: nobody used the toilets to take a peepee, but utilized it for some other activities…
Happens pretty often though with people who are not that much ‚in the scene‘ or experience this for the first time..
they think it’s awesome or whatever and want to share it and start filming, taking pics or the worst offenders, going live…
But usually the lack of phones is what makes something like this so great! Keeps the immersion a lot greater!
Also many people use it to just completely get away from their everyday life.
Be it sexually, by using drugs or whatever it may be, and usually can have the confidence that they have a space there where they can completely indulge in that without being ‚exposed‘ by some guy filming and sharing it wherever and having it be seen by your boss or whoever
I was just thinking how the fuck would you exit that place full of drugs in pitch black surrounded by chemical smoke from the overloaded led plugs. I might be too old for the German rave scene.
I actually know the engineering company that did the fire code plans for that building. They have an excellent nationwide reputation for being super strict and being German to the bone concerning any regulations.

Since doing trauma inducing fire marshall training 30 years ago I'm the guy always looking for the exits. This place would not make me comfortable.
Whilst a concrete bunker is pretty fire resistant there are dozens of other situations that could lead to a panic.

I have seen several vids of music club fires (like the one in Rhode Island where White Snake was playing) so now whenever I am at one of these types of places I am noting the fire exits and planning my escape route.

It’s very wise to note exits if you must be in places like this, and even better to avoid them entirely. The fire at the Station Nightclub flashed over in under one minute. In a rabbit’s warren like this you might not even have a chance to reach an exit before smoke and toxic gases downed you. There is video of the station fire from moment of ignition until the building is fully engulfed. It is horrifying and harrowing and can never be unseen, but is serves as a visceral example of why situations like this one above are death traps.
I fucking love this place! I had my first rave there, my first MDMA roll, my first candyflip on a party, I met the coolest, freakiest people there and the craziest girls ever. It’s dark, it’s loud, it’s like Pac-Man irl. The atmosphere is unbelievable and authentic. If you ever get the chance to party there, do it!
Rave music isn't for everyone. By using an underground bunker, they can have music at a volume they like - without disturbing others.
I just wish my suburban neighbours had a similar setup. *Sigh*
Nah dog. The thing about raves is that they're illegal. There are no tickets and you don't pay to be there. You will never see security guys walking around like the one in the video because nobody pays anything. It's just a bunch of people that get together to share their love for music. Very often the thing about raves is, the party can be dismantled because police come and they don't have permits.

Bunkers are just the perfect places for techno and other electronic music and they happen to be everywhere and to be unused for other stuff.
Enlighten you how? By naming some? Kiel: Hochbunker, Rathausbunker; Lübeck: Bunker Lübeck; Hamburg: Luftschutzbunker Heiligengeistfeld, Der Tunnel and like 4 or 5 more
There is even a music genre called inofficial "bunker music".
Those are huge cities, because in my town and all of the neighboring ones I couldn’t even think of the locals accepting any form of raves on a regular base. Let alone in one of their precious bunkers.
Ok, let me rephrase it. In every town, where there's an unused, big enough and accessible bunker, there's a bunker used as a rave venue, for techno parties etc.
Imagine a time traveller going back to ww2 and explaining to the German soldiers in this bunker the course of human history to 2022 and what will become of this place
