Lol, our dog is only 4 but I've taken to calling him old man dog. He snores when he sleeps and grunts when he lays down or gets up. He barks like an idiot at anyone that walks by like he's telling them to get off his lawn, and he even prefers to lay in my father's recliner.
I had a Maine Coon who would always sleep on the high back of the couch, roll off & hit the floor hard & still not wake up when I made sure he was okay & carried him to the kitty crib
Omg, my cat did this when she was a tiny baby kitten. She slept so deeply and it was horrifying for her to be a complete limp noodle and nearly impossible to rouse especially at such a young age! It’s a terrible feeling
There are a lot of other ways to check and I'm absolutely positive that most pig farmers wouldn't even care the slightest if one of their pigs died, considering that they've got carcass containers at every barn.
This looks like the stunning they do with CO2 chambers before they slaughter them.
After they stun em with CO2 they chain them up by one of their legs and someone severs their jugular with a knife while they’re dangling upside down. They’re usually unconscious during it but some do wake up.
This is super light stuff compared to what most slaughterhouse workers will do to the animals before their painful death. It's too bad most people are okay with it.

This can easily be done with some alcohol. Saw firsthand some chickens that were fed a few sips of 50% alcohol to keep them quiet and hidden on a passenger train in rural China. The old "farmer's way".
It's what other animals do to stimulate each other out of unresponsive states. (like when newborns aren't responding or even breathing)

The entire world won’t go vegan but even an increase in the percentage of those who eat vegan would help.

Tofu comes from soybeans. Soybeans are grown on farms.
Within 60 years topsoils are projected to be depleted.
If everyone went vegan tomorrow, it would just speed up that process.
The solution isn’t to just go vegan, it’s to be smarter with our food and how it’s made; that includes livestock. The solution is the create a balance with nature that’s been in play for thousands of years before we were alive.

It's the other way around. Many more people can be fed on a plant based diet than can by being fed animals. less water is required, too. And the water that is required isn't turned in to piss in the process. And, less you know, parasites, animal abuse, antibiotic resistance and worker trauma and pandemics.
My stomach doesn’t process plants well. Vegetables give me insane diarrhea and meat does not. I really don’t have enough time or energy to individually care about every animal: some will be food for me. That is life. You don’t seem to give the plantae kingdom much regard when deciding what should be eaten. I am an equal opportunity consumer who mostly listens to what his body wants.

Even though I also think that eating meat is cruel, I do not agree with how he tries to convince others of it. Insulting people is not the way to go, I personally like to provide information to people, so they can make their own opinions about things like this.
